  1. Played "lost squad" last night on the CiA dedicated coop server. This was one of my favorite missions in OFP... Several bugs: 1. The attack on the town doesn't seem to begin until you shoot a russian, who's just sitting carelessly in the town. 2. The Russian attack seems very slow, many units were spotted walking towards us with their weapons lowered. 3. In the OFP version the peak of the mission was an attack by a T-72 tank platoon that penetrates through the woods and through the town's main entrance. That platoon never came. We did, however, destroyed the two T-72 tanks that crested over the south western hill (those two were in the OFP version as well). 4. The La riviere task is too easy, there were only three guys (2 guys by the heli, 1 waiting at the boat). That task I less remember but I don't think it was that easy in the OFP version.

And that's bad enough considering this feature has the potential to completely ruin the game and is game breaking for many of us.

    Fatigue effects

This statement contradicts the whole point of releasing the game in its alpha stage which IS an unfinished state, to the public to receive feedback. Not true. To name just a few features - First Aid System, gone. Weapon collision, gone. Sun blindness effect on tactical considerations, gone. The panic is a result of the current late development state, the investment of development efforts in satisfying the Wasteland hordes (investing efforts in making the game twitch streaming friendly, for example), while ignoring the traditional part of the community's requests for realistic (and fun) features. That is exactly why we complain!!! To allow for BIS to correct itself. Rest assured that the game might very well be released with some unfinished modules. So please support me (us) and voice your objections because if you don't you will get a broken game and won't be able to blame anyone but yourself. Well... you get my point ;) Why not? It's a harsh but a valid feedback. I'm telling BIS fare and square that the core of the Arma experience is damaged. If that won't help, I don't know what will. He also said the following: And that is very worrying and justifies our "panic".

Are you automatically assuming this will get fixed while most of the chances that they will not, given official BI statements and the current development status of the game? It seems like your response is the knee jerking here. It seems like the pavlovian response that we get in several evolution forms "it's an alpha > it's a beta > it's the first release > it will be added in a patch > wait for the DLC" while in the meantime things are going in a very clear direction. We have been asked to provide feedback, and this is what we are doing. therefore, if you are not going to counter our arguments and just keep the regular "it's a beta" chorus, your responses lack any value for this discussion.

    ACE for OA 1.13

I hope this is the correct place to write this. We have been playing ACE on CiA coop nights for more than a year now and have experienced different levels of missions quality. What stood up among the rest of the missions was the fantastic "PMC Versus Campaign" by Fuiba. The campaign consists of thirty missions(!) and tells the story of a Belarusian mercenary firm that was hired to work for the Chedaki. The missions are very imaginative, highly immersive and fun to play, they make use very nicely of most of the ACE features and for us it served as a sort of introduction to ACE. The structure of the campaign is great, the missions are linked logically and the briefings provide a good reading for the players. The missions are great, some are unforgettable. I think some of the most thrilling moments I had in Arma 2 were while playing this campaign. I really recommend for the ACE team to check this wonderful campaign and consider incorporating as an integrated ACE missions as part of the ACE version (in the same manner of Animal mother's missions). All the missions are for a single team of 5 operators, so a single player game is possible as well, with the player as the team leader. We have completed 28 missions from the campaign, onwards to the last two! Thanks for ACE for this great mod and to Fuiba for this wonderful campaign.

    Co-oP Missions by Viktor Reznov

Thanks for the missions Viktor! All are hosted on the CiA server. Having played Viktor's missions I must recommend them. Suspenseful, require cooperation between multiple teams and highly entertaining.

    Fatigue effects

Bigpickle, what the hell are you talking about? Do you really believe a human being can sprint with so much load? I just talked with a friend of mine, who serves in a special forces unit which is known to be carrying the most imaginary weights in the IDF. He laughed and said that most of the operators (average body weight of 70-80 Kg) carry up to 70 Kg, and it's certainly not possible to jog carrying this weight, let alone sprint! The most gigantic and strong operators with a body weight of 100 kg will be able to carry not more than 80 kg. Someone will have to help them stand up, they will act only as "mules" and will not be able to fight while carrying that load. And we are talking about a unit that carrying equipment on long distances is its main business. So maybe you brits are super human, but if you are not please don't write unsubstantial information. Of course it's a game, but it shouldn't be a ridiculous one, especially if it aims to be somewhat "authentic".

Show me please trained soldiers that are able to run with 100+ kg on their backs please. People, have some sense, it's not about hardcore realism anymore, it's about the boundaries of reasonable.

So basically you are removing the only penalty, be it bad as it is, and not replacing it with anything else. Is anything planned for the future in this department or are we going to not have any penalty for running with ridiculous heavy load? Please clarify just so we know whether or not to continue this discussion.

Thanks for the update, but this is our concern: is there going to be any penalty for running with imaginary load or are you simply going to remove the blur?

    CWR2 coop pack

Played Hard Trinity on the CiA server last night and the extraction chopper crashed on its approach to the LZ. We are using mods but I'm posting this just for the chance it didn't occur due to unsupported mods. Running TPWCAS and ASR AI, played on the Windows dedicated server. Great mission though, thank you for it!
  15. 150 CWR2 coop missions were completed on the CiA server! Reaching yet another milestone like that is a good opportunity to drop by and say "thank you" for all the good people who made that happen, so thanks a lot for all the good time you gave us CWR2 team.

[Coop] Jets on Utes by LuzifR

Looks good, uploading to the CiA ACE coop server. Thanks!
  17. That's the most depressing thing I read in the forums in a long time. Most of Arma 3's failures in one scenario which is described as "fun", filled with smileys.

    Balancing?

This is correct. That's why pistol training will tell you to not stop shooting until the target drops to the ground.

    BM Production makes mission(s)

Hey Janez, I played alone, and had an AI MG gunner with me. Yes, the CiA server uses ASR AI and TPWCAS mods, in addition CWR2 was running but I don't think it should affect vanilla missions. No Beta on the server or my client. You think that could be the reason?

Where are the 6 saved Game slots?

Mansen are you quoting me wrong on purpose, or is that a mistake? Please edit your post and correct my quote.

    Balancing?

That's dramatizing. All the critique that was placed here was valid and legit. Yeah? how can you tell? You are not BIS and please don't speak as if you know the reasons behind their actions. Given that the change was made after the feedback here there's a good reason to believe it had effect.

Where are the 6 saved Game slots?

One save spot = Unforgettable moments. Multiple save points = Limited challenge, forgotten experience.
