I do not agree with this, because Arma 2 is imho one of the best names for a military simulator like this. I know only one game name that looks better ;p Ghost Recon.

How about allowing Barrett M107 to shoot trought walls and kill enemies hidden behind it? And vehicles which won't explode if there's no fuel left? My dreams about ArmA were to see interactive environment in ArmA2, same as in GRAW =)

Maybe snipers on roofs shouldnt go prone when see enemy because in prone position on BIS buildings you can see nothing. Maybe snipers should just go into crouching position?

Maybe it would be easier to use whispering while in stealth mod, and normal voice while in battle or safe?

As I play many military games I see that ArmA is better than others with graphics and wide wariety of activities like flying, driving etc. etc. etc. But there are two things that mess ArmA. 1. Animations. Arma animations aren't good, running models do not look anyhow realistic, also dying animations aren't realistic, because they fall the same way whereever they go shot, and what's a real shame - there are about 5 dying animations at all... What's more, ArmA is missing a lot of little animations, for example putting NVGs on head or taking out map to have a look. Also, weapons should be animated, because ArmA from 1st person looks like game from 2001... Let's have a compare with other games. America's Army(1) vs ArmA Armed Assault(2) (1)This one has fully animated weapons, each one got other keeping animation, each one can JAM. Those weapons got many functions such as regulating aimer. Javelin got great targeting system. (2)This one got nice weapons models, unfortunately, those weapons can only shoot, aren't even animated. And perspective isn't even calibrated... (Of course there are a lot of things in which AA is much worse than ArmA, for example AA's peoples are almost bulletproof, sometimes even head shot is not enought) Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter(1) vs ArmA Armed Assault(2) (1)This one got nice AI, like supressing fire, flanking enemies. AI fight great in city, they take cover, they dont want to die. (2)ArmA's bots are suiciders, they move on street and fire to anyone they see, if you take cover they are not supressing but forgeting about any target. (Of course there are a lot of things in which GRAW is much worse than ArmA, for example GRAW have no wounds) 2. Gameplay. I don't want to say that gameplay in ArmA is bad, because I like it. I want to say its a bit too slow and 'plastic'. For example why soldier exiting hummer got no chances to survive? Also, if we are aiming at someone in crouching position and we change it to standing, why we lose perspective? I'm sure that I could stand up without losing the target in real life. Some of those transitions are strange, some of them are missing. To all who took me wrong, I just wrote mine and my friends' opinion, I am not saying any bad word on ArmA because it's my favourite game, I just want to mark things that can be annoying, not only for me. Nikita, I want to say 2 things. 1) I liked the long version that was included in previous pack, I just dont like the short one. Any chances of releasing long version? 2) I dont know why but there are still some missing voices, for example under "Ready to fire".

I wonder if rear lights shouldn't have their own model, not just texture. How about destrution? Have you seen how ArmA2 hummers blow up? Maybe you should try to do something similar? ;p

@Mrcash Do you have walkie talkie in real life? Go use it and try to understand what's your friend saying. Army uses very similar but with distance few hundreds meters instead of 30 meters. xP The characteristic "shhhh" gives great athmospere.

I must say that those sounds are great. It's a big peace of good work. But the config sux badly. -
Great topic, I was always thinking why Armed Assault is so poor with animations. Even my friends (they are maniacs of FPS like GRAW) asked me why (hehehehe...) BIS is too lazy to make game full on animations to everything. It's not my opinion but I agree that anims should be added. 60. Animation when FALLING from high! Aaaa... 61. Sky diving before opening parachute and a steerable parachute of course. 62. ANIMATED weapons god d@mn. And a reloading animation like in FPS games, I mean... Soldier put out magazine, changes and put in a new one. In arma, soldiers are magicians and make magazine dissapear! 63. I saw it's already made on one film but Im not sure so I will say - Mobile reloading. 64. Maybe some animations like in FFN mod? I mean Dodge.
