  1. I have a linksys router, all my home network is setup with fixd ip's, dmz is on towards my ip, so it's not my router....

did router resets, and so on....

reinstalled the game several times + registry cleaning....

    redownload patch 1.05...

redownloaded the game through sprocket, 5gb off my monthly limit....

i keep on getting errors at the end of the patching process, refering to rocks pbo, wheeld.pbo, weapons.pbo... so i suspect there's the problem

I did ran fine under 1.04.

So i blame BIS because none of my other games (lockon, blackshark, arma 1, MW2, il2 1946, lfs, empire total war, rainbow six vegas, half life 2, bf2, bf2142, and some more) do not cause me ANY problems....

  2. It is not temperature related. I had the texture problems and temp of my gpu was 50°C. I have a spare sidepanel for my rig, with a 120mm fan on it, which blows right on the graphic card: same problem after 30 mins of play; temp was 40°C!!

I think its either memory related or maybe even powersupply. I have an antec truepower 400w, and i'm starting to think it's not completely sufficient to juice the system correctly under full load.

  3. I have the same problem as palleon, when i get crazy textures

    core 2 quad @ 2,66

    4gb ram

    asus engtx275

temp of the gpu is around 50°C when it happens, could that be it?

EDIT: it is not temperature related, must be memory: i have a spar side panel for my fig, with a 120mm fan mounted on it, which blow right on my grafics card: temperature a full load did never exceed 40°C, after 20mins, guess what: texture problem!

  4. i find that lowering the post-process setting, along with lowering the pre-rendered frames setting (in nvdia panel) helps, but after about 15 to 20mins of play, same problem occurs! This games rubbish, I've been playing the series since ofp in 2001, but the instability issues have just worstened with every new game to make an instability comparison:

    ofp<arma <<<<armaII

all those issues, this is worse, in terms of stability, than many other games, which are still in beta-phase! I am ottally disappointed!

  5. hi first of all great work!! But i need to say the FM needs to be altered a bit, attacking with this chopper and his fixed machine guns requires a charge in attack (slight dive) but the flight model makes the plane very difficult to recover from even the slightest dive(and i'm not in turbo mode), even when you pull up, the aircraft tends to continu it's path downwards, often causing a crash. all the standard choppers have a better recovering capability, and this is airwolf, the best chopper of them all (forgive me, I'm a fan).

Anyway, still is my foremost awaited addon for arma since arma's release (search my older topics), and i'm happy it's here; all we need are the hi res textures and a modified FM implimented!

    Greetz and thanx!

  6. Sad news for everyone who wares about airwolf, i recieved a pm from Iguana explaining some things about airwolf; as requested by Iguana, i share this;

    "Hi there

I can't use this forum and I don't want to... Few persons wrote to me about importing airwolf mod...

I see you are interested in this theme so I gonna tell you the same I told them.I won't import any of AWM maps to ArmA and as I think Airwolf creator of the chopper and other stuff won't import his addons to it either. We think ArmA isn't worth it.It can't bring anything new,no big features, it can bring only bugs and errors caused by ArmA.Personally I don't play Arma and I'm not interested in it.I like OFP but not ArmA.Maybe when OFP 2 will be good (and if BI won't bacrupt first) we will think about making new mod.

Could you be so gently and put my pm on forum?I was banned for giving my opinion.

    Cheers

    Iguana"

  7. Thing is, the camel was already done so they didn't waste any time by adding it.

so was the AH64 in ofp, they could have ported it into arma aswell or instead...

@d007: i'm not whinning nor complaining, it was just a contemplative question, don't be so offensive in your replies, please. These are discussion boards, not argument boards....

i agree camel can e real fun, BUT i thought this game was about realism, great cooperative scenarios during online gameplay. But what I'm trying to say is; if the focus of the game is primarly realism, then the camel's very far from that perspective, porting eg the AH64 from ofp would have been much closer towards that perspective.

Nonetheless I am very happy with the camel, but i'd rather had seen ah64 or C130 or chinook implemented in the game from release on, and had the camel delivered with a patch.

    just my 2cents

  8. ok about the camel i understand the fun-factor, but i would find far more logic that they've would added and ah64, or a chinook or a C130 in the game from the start; something that would serve way more purpose into missions than the camel.
