Game 2 progress is not related to arma. 2 different teams are working of game 2 and arma. One does not affect the other, and I think arma will be released as scheduled.

-
@maxqubit - I think we get the idea since you have posted the same thing on every page. I don't think that arma would be a success on the 360 because like other people have said before complicated games that make you think a little bit don't sell well. The majority of gamers (not just Americans whom you small minded people like to insult) do not care about, and more importantly do not purchase anything that does not have amazing graphics. Although ARMA has much better graphics than OFP or OFE it still does not have next gen graphics. Just go to any major site that reviews games and you will see this sentiment dished out over and over again, and while arma might sell copies in the long run it would never be a sales success without the initial rush to buy the game. I love ofp/arma style game play, but the majority of people don't no matter how much you think they should.

Thanks, I have always used 7zip because it is free and supports many file types, but for some reason it does not like certain rar files.
Going to try the UKF mod right now

-
Not really on topic, but I think some of the UKF files at ofp.info are corrupt. Â I have downloaded them multiple times, but I am getting an invalid archive error on these files:
UKF Diemaco.rar
UKF Sidearms.rar
UKF WMIK 2.0.rar
UKF Weapons Pack 2.0.rar
EDIT:
Hmm... just downloaded a trial version of winrar and they worked, I guess the program I was using(7zip) doesn't like those files. Anyone have any recommendations for free programs that open rar files?
-
maybe they just took a regular sky texture with a rainbow and just greyscaled it to make it a storm texture.
-
Sorry i can't help you, but this should be in the ffur thread even if no one replies to you about it.

-
Woo! Â downloading now at 438 kb/sec. Â Thanks for your hard work guys.

EDIT: Just got my new comp a few days ago. Just in time to tear this pack up, and oh look just finished downloading

-
the devs obviously are not going to include the amout of realizm you want, you should try the game Balkans on fire. I hear it is something more along the lines of what you are looking for.

-
There are two diffrent teams developing game2 and arma, so them working harder on game2 will not affect armas progress.
-
Hope a mod comes around and gets rid of this joker...
-
I hope they dont I hate online distribution.
-
No, it is not based on a new engine it is based of the ofp engine. it will probably not have destructable buildings becuase the ofp engine cannot handle it and i would assue that bis would have mentioned it as a feature even if the were just experimenting with it.
-
Arma will not be a BF2 killer. BF2 has its own fanbase and its own style of play. Also the graphics while much better than ofp are not next gen graphics. That being said I personally believe it will be the best game ever, but I doubt many BF2 players will be dropping BF2 for Arma.

Do you guys have any suggestions on where I could get a better price? I don't have the option of building my own due to time and knowlege.

I asked about a computer for my bro before, but now I am looking for one for myself. Â I configured a computer and would like it if you guys took a look to see if I made any mistakes, left out any thing, or have any suggestions.

actually there is a hundred doller rebate so its more like 1600, but yea its up there.
-
that would be the Y2K3 mod.
Well I am not really interested in vista and I am not buying any thing that is top of the line. Right now I am actually looking for a computer for my brother but am seriously considering one for myself. I have a laptop right now that I use for work and am kind of wieghing wether or not it is worth it to me to buy a new comp for gaming.
-
I don't mean to get off topic, but with the BF2 thing I just download a realism mod and changed some things myself and it made the game 100 times better.
ontopic: I am curious about how the fixed aim is goining to feel in ofp. Oh well if i dont like it I can always turn it off.
-
I am shopping for a new computer mainly for gaming. Â What do you guys think about this.

well if the sounds are bad there wil be a sound mod out in no time.
-
This is only your third post....how can you piss people off that fast.
-
there is a default multiplayer mission that already does this, I think it is just called coop and I think it is for malden. When you die in that mission it zooms out from your body and the camera goes to another AI on your team and you keep playing.
-
Man, I would love it if I could do that. I guess I am a kind of customization whore, but I just want to be able to do that to everything. This would be great especially for multiplayer. I can get into the game alot more when I get to choose what i look like.
Custom Faces
in ARMA - GENERAL
Posted
I want custom faces. It adds a personal touch and I don't believe it takes away from the experience. I dont care what other people have as faces. I enjoy seeing what other people come up with as their face.
