Because an addon can be good without being perfect. Because people have jobs and real world commitments which take up their time. Because we are happy to be getting free addons. Because we are not jerks. Because the main problem with the gaming industry today is that it is focused on graphics rather than gameplay.

@ D@nte - what the hell is your problem? I would rather have all of the "Pretentious people" here over you any day. People make addons for free because they enjoy it and because other people enjoy using them. Who are you to come here and tell everyone they need to stop making crap addons? I don't know what culture you come from but maybe while you are reflecting you should reflect on yourself.

@deanosbeano - You are obviously not a very smart person based on what you have previously posted in this thread. DeadMeatXM2 laid out the facts to you but you still have not been able to "absorb" them. I say you are not very smart, becasue your only response to anything presented is the same old "...so that doesn't change the fact that arma is delayed by Game 2". Your either thick headed or you dont read what anyone else writes. There is no need to be an ass to Deadmeat because he won't agree with you, and if you don't want to be here by all means leave, because you are not really contributing anything anyways.
In my opinion this thread should be locked, serves no purpose other than to piss people off.

I think they smoke size for grenades is good, alot of games make it too small. Besides I am sure that tons of mods will becoming out to change everything anyway.

Hey guys I have been trying to play games online, but my school has a very restrictive firewall and my computer cannot communicate with servers. Is there anything i can do or any program that will allow me to play games online through the firewall. I have a program called anonymous guest and sockscap but i cant get it to work with games. I can use anonymous guest to get on the internet throught the firewall, but I cannot get it to work for games. The games I have tried are ofp, americas army, and cod2. any help would be great.

Yea, that kind of close combat probably wont happen until game2, though ofp is not supposed to be close combat in the first place.

@VISTREL - Ofp has a better flight model than BF2 already, BF2's flight model is horrible.

Ofp was released in 2001, arma is just the update it needs until game2 is released. Â The thing I am most excited about is bullet penetration. Â Â

I think that people should be allowed to make whatever they want. If everyone wants to make an M4 then everyone should make an M4. Saying that everyone should only make one of an addon does not work becuase as we have seen with ofp addon quality gets better as more people figure out how to make them. The first three M4 addons were not the best.

Stop pretending that you know the specifics of their case. Â You read about it on the internet and you are so quick to bash the US. Â It pisses me off when people are so quick to talk trash about the US just because they read something on the internet.
EDIT: oh and believe me if our media could get something to make our goverment look bad it would be on the news as quickly as they could put it out. People seem to think that our government controls what our media shows. The US media is mostly liberal and they do not like Bush so they take stabs at him every chance they get.

@kev - from what I have read the demo will not be released until the game is released or later.
@Bravo - adding minor details is not the kind of evolution everyone is looking for. Yes the little things can really add to the experience, but I think everyone would rather have some more important improvements first.
