Are you able to have more than one shortcut to the same file with steam in the steam games list?

Ah. Yea this cards 14 day return period just ended. Not to mention that in the past I have neeever have had good experiences with ATI cards. Its always some compatibility or some random glitch that I find out cant be fixed without some sort of patch. The price difference was pretty huge though. Too late now. So yea according to that benchmark site they overclocked the i7 920 to 3.5Ghz.. which sucks because I am absolutely 100% terrified of overclocking anything.. mostly as I've never done it before.

On Arma, I wouldn't doubt that I had 15 Arma shortcut extensions on my desktop. I've already prepurchased Arma2 on steam but just realized that some of the steam games do not have an .exe of their own but instead are launched with Steam.exe.. so if thats the case, how can you get your mod folders working? Thx in advance :)

I just purchased a new system and while I'll be waiting for a few days - I was wondering if anyone has a similar setup to which they would be able to tell me what they were able to get their settings to: CPU: i7 920 Ram: 6GB Triple Channel Video: GTX 285 1GB Monitor/Resolution: 24'' 1920x1200 16:10 My hope is that with a view Distance of at least 3000, can have everything on high with a stable 30fps. But... I have my doubts.

Yea, PVP is the heart of the game... Evo and Domination will surely saturate it unless a spark is lit early to ignite that interest. I'll play both, but after a while you can figure out how the AI operate and/or have to work around their 'limitations'... which ruins any and all immersion for me personally. I like the unpredictable and challenging opponent who can at any time outsmart me and say "surprise!" when he comes up from a bush :) I cant wait to see what the servers will be like on the 26th. I'll have to get it on Steam.. *oh no!*

Finally, at last Arma2 has made it into the top 10 on gamespots list: I swear gamespot has barely even looked into Arma2.

Is the game gold already for the June 19th release date? I hope they can HURRY and fix the major issues before this bad news spreads everywhere... 4/10.... I expected better...

Thanks Luemmel for the missions!!! They're awesome! :) PHEW! After reading 27 pages I'm not so sure I have the energy to type this post. Yea those 4 missions weren't even worth mentioning, not to mention - we should all be bowing down to these guys for taking two freaking years and not giving up. I commend you guys. I still can't believe its here. Couldn't we do this? 1. UnPBO the campaign. 2. Open a mission. 3. Go into the sound folder. 4. Replace the sounds with identically named OFP ones. 5. If there are other files that were not overwritten, go into the description.ext and rename them. Now I understand that everytime a mission or campaign is updated, the description.ext file will change and therefore require changing the names for soundfiles once more. If only Elite had the same names as OFP this could be a lot easier.. :( Could this process at least be followed for the current version of CWR? As grrreat as the mod is, I'll play though the campaigns most likely once, but during the time I'm playin it, I'd like it to be the most true-to-OFP as possible.

Yea if it ever came down to the 3 installs again, you could totally say good bye to me. To think of how many times I've had to call and reactivate my digits because of problems with ether the game or my OS. It's one of the reasons I stopped playing Arma for 4-6 months - I didn't want to take the extra time out to get bloody new activations.

Yup. Many servers follow these guidelines (perhaps with an exception to number 3 in some cases) and 99% of my MP games run smoothly. I hope the small list of trust worthy servers make it over to Arma2 so we can have years of continued fun without worries of others ruining it.

How do you figure that? Its just the presskit(s) taken directly from Arma2's website. What really shocks me is that the game is less than a month a way for many countries and yet theres still no publisher for the rest of us. It'll be 1 week before release before we know at this rate.. Knowing the release date here in the states (or anywhere else) with only 4-5 weeks left would really be a key point in any discussion in word-of-mouth advertising.. "Whens it come out?" Is always asked, and when you say "I don't know", then magically it comes out only a few weeks later.. I just don't get it.
