  1. Is this what you're looking for? EDIT: It doesn't talk about Vietnam. It must be another. Sorry
  2. That's precisely what I think. In the end, RR will be just a reduced version of FPDR. I don't understand, how people, can expect anything differently from a title that will be focused in the console market.
  3. I too think it was a BIS site. Good memories.
  4. I was 17, when I convinced my mother that I needed a ZX-Spectrum 16K for school. :o All those magazines filled with games written in Basic, that I had to type in the Spectrum, in order to play a game. I would spent at least 1 hour to insert the code, plus half-hour to debug. And then, most of the times, the game was crap. But in the end, improved my programming skills.
  5. Nice... Careful Ben. :D Anyway you're gonna buy it, and they know it.:D
  6. Ohhh they notice. Only they dismiss. If it was on, it would be the greatest thing on earth. But it isn't, so... it's also great.
  7. That's true. But you know, that same thing happened with FPDR. They are completely delusional. I know that most are kids, but... That forum is a shrink heaven.
  8. Howard Hawk's "Red River"??? A crap??? Jesus.... Yeah! "Transformers" rules!

    A game we need

I'm a WWI buff, more than anyone, I'd like to play a game with a high degree of WWI immersiveness feeling. But I'm afraid it's not commercial attractive to have a trench simulator. In most of the times the war in the western front was static. And even when it wasn't, was really slaughtery, like in Somme and Verdun. Would you march regardless of machine guns nets, into the enemy trenches, in a orderly fashion? Would you do a night raid into the no man's land? That's a kind of war that probably will never be bought into a computer game, specially an infantry kind. However, IMHO, there are three games that already portrayed, with some immersive feeling, that war. Historyline, Wings and more recently Over Flanders Field.
  10. With 14, Ben's age, I was playing Space Invaders, Asteroids. and Pong :p
  11. You should have played the Dizzy ones. :p [iM]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/89/Treasure_Island_Dizzy_Coverart.png[/img]>100kb
  12. :):):) Sorry Ben, you're just being delusional. It makes so bloody sense.

    J.S.R.S. 1.5

I've tried your sound mod yesterday, and I really like it. Thanks for your efforts.
  14. Indeed. Maybe he'll come back. Great trolling quality.
  15. I was just looking around in FPDR forums and stumble upon this commentary. It's this kind of gamers they want to attract. Gamers who like corridor shooters and AI scripted levels, and above all console players. I can see now, what will be their new fan base, after the departure of ARMA's dissidents. Glad to see that some of them are coming to their natural right place, here.

I'll download and try your addon tonight. Thanks for all your effort LordJarhead. A quicky recovery from your injury. Best wishes.
  17. Exactly. I know, vilas, your addons are there in CWR2. I've high hopes, that will be better than CWR.
  18. Will have CWR2. It will be as close as it can be.
  19. The same thing is happening with XCom. They are using the name of the legacy, but now instead of being a 4X tactical it's a FPS. It's a commercial abuse of the name. http://kotaku.com/5613458/what-came-first-the-xcom-or-the-game
  20. QFT. And near the release you'll begun to suspect that some key aspects will be missing. People will begun to query and have no answers. Only silence. It will be the same scheme. And why think it could be different. They are the same people, with the same ideas, selling us that the end product will be close to the reality of the modern battlefields. Bullocks!
  21. Interesting reading. Thanks. We all know that the majority of the professional magazine/site reviewers are compromised with the publishers. Only a lunatic will take for granted what this corrupted guys write about. They are already hyping the people with those renders. The same story. Oh well....
  22. I don't think that competition is always good. Sometimes yes, it can helps to obtain a better product. But that's not granted, specially, in our economic mayhem.
  23. Again, the name will attract more hate from our community, and specially, from the hardcore PC gamers. They should have learn that at least with FPDR . It's a proof that they are already thinking in the console world and they don't give a damn to PC gamers.
  24. Like the predecessor FPDR , the PC version, will be a console port. I suppose it will have a limited entity number, no lean, no real multiplayer PvP... it will be more urban, that's all. I bet this will be the last version for PC.
