  1. After months aways from the OFP scene i finally found my way back to Flashpoint.. Â And now, modelling with O2, I really wondered what that "Merge textures" function in the "Sufaces" menu might work. Anyone knows how to write such a merge texture script? Because I think it could be a good way to create a better texture formatting ( you know: merging several texture details into on single texture - like BIS did when stepping from MLOD soldier models to ODOL soldier models!)..

Miles.. the first one to get pissed off is me i guess - 'cause you didn't mentioned my addons in your list But even more important: one of the only reason why we addon makers do this stuff is to get the FAME! Now when you put stuff from so diffrent addon authors ( although the guys you mentioned all belong to the "veteran" group) you take a away a lot of fame from their work - 'cause now he/she shares it with somebody elses work Now.. better give me some good infos about US special forces... because i'm willing to add some stuff to OFP: HK very very soon..

    LoBo team ( well, actually Soul Catcher, T.S.C.Plage and me) will release some OFP:HK missions soon :-) By the way: OFP:HK 1.30 version is fixed now! Either download it again from our website or take out your hexeditor and delete the first 46 bytes of the old pbo file ( I accidently packed the pbo in Reistance format - that's why it doesn't work under 1.46)

    Does the whole pack doesn't work anymore or only some units?? Regarding the sniper scopes: yes, they're calibrated to 400 merters!

    Hey Vixer sure it looks a little bit like the VBS1 site - it was meant exactly this way I wanted to deliver a addon package which would add more detailed weapons and soldiers to the game - for more realism = virtual battle fied system Regarding the sniper rifle accuracy: this has many reasons. One is that the scopes are selfmade in O2, which means that their is a little unprecision already in the creation of the scope. Second is the bullets ballistic ( remember: gravity and wind are playing a role in OFP, too! ). Third is the dispersion on longer ranges. Nearly the same with the auto fire mode: dispersion and recoil are making the gun shooting above, beyond or left/right of the actual aiming point! The guns are much more precise when shot in crouch or prone position, believe me

    1. Next version (beauty patch) won't have an installer 2. The G22 and all other rifles have realistic ballistic arches - 'cause they also have realistic max range and muzzle velocity values!! The point is that the G22 has a much larger zoom factor then e.g. the M21 - that's why you can see the ballistic arc better! 3. The floating armpatches and hands have something to do with the old MLOD soldier models I used as a basis of the pack 4. The OICW's 20mm ammo has a very high muzzle velocity - that's why the arc is nearly like a normal 5.56 or 7.68 bullet.. 5. The AI's preference for pistols is fixed in the beaty patch.. i messed somethign up with the pistol ammunition classes

    Why no american units?

    Hi folks.. I understand you guys with your problems on the HK pack... BUT: 1. If i would have made each weapon a seperate .pbo you would have 27 new pbo files in your addons directory - not to mind the dependencies between the weapons ( cause to save space several weapons use same basic textures - such as the G36, G3&G8 and MP5 series.. so if you would delete for example one weapon, other might now work aswell! 2. If I would have created the new units seperate you would have 9 seperate pbo files - same problem with the dependencies. Also same problem with the sound files Despite: has anyone even noticed that their bodies (especially their chest) is much more detailled/smoother then normal OFP soldiers?? 3. If I wouldn't have given those guys flags or "polizei" signs nobody would have recognized them as german units! 4. I don't get it why some of you don't check that.. THERE ARE ALSO UNITS FOR EAST IN THE HK PACK!!! 5. I know about the size.. BUT it's really small! The pbo is compressed with Amalfis new tool ( which is nto yet public) - else it the addon would be 50 MB!!! Don't forget that 27 weapons are included which all use HIGHRES textures!! Keygetys did a great job on those EAST weapon.. but how many weapons did he made?? 3?? 4? Or maybe 6?? Now this weapons have really high quality - but they're not as detailed as some of the HK weapons, despite the fact that they also use lower resolution textures as far as i know.. Now.. if you really wanna use my models as a basis for US or whatever forces: I don't have a problem with it! Even better: I would feel honored!!! I will provide a editable model of each group ASAP - so that you guys can make your own units out of it!

    Hi folks! First: Yeah, sorry i completly forgot about the SoF2 textures i was inspired by But in the next update of the OFP: HK website i'm gonna credit them.. hopefully they don't sue me... Second: I'm already working on an "Beauty Patch" fixing all the LOD problems mentioned by others.. Also the i will provide a fixed version compressed in an self-extractable ace archive tomorrow which will be far less in size then 15 MB..   14. Hey BIS folks! I wonder if i did something wrong or if Resistance is not working correctly! I wrote a config.cpp with CfgModels section and the weapons work great in HW T&L mode (no famous muzzle-flash-bug). HOWEVER, the muzzleflash is still always visible in the shadow of the weapon. First i thought this might be a problem with my LODs - but it isn't.. every weapon i build has this bug!! The muzzle flash on the weapon itself works perfect - but in the shadow it's always visible.. which looks really awefull SO if anyone knows how to solve it - i'm listening

There was never such a strange summer in middle -eruope (at least that i can remember..): heat, storm, floods... Yeah.. and the scientests are really saying "we don't have a global clima catstrophe..".. PS: Any job for me?? I mean i think i have some experience in OFP,too

    Whats the point of different lods

    A standart would be cool - but as computers advance they also become more powerfull so in a about half a year the models can doble their polycount however.. don't do something stupid like the OFPEC tagging system.. or at least let other people watch over it! OFPEC still doesn't want to host my FAMAS - they always tell me i haven't tagged it correctly BUT it's tagged exactly like they want it, it just uses a translation file and therefore doesn't need this stupid VIP tag in front of the weapon.. Well.. my mother used to say: if you don't have (technically) a clue - shut the fuck up so OFPEC: look at it again.. and start thinking ..ehm.. i'm sorry.. this doesn't match the topic, hah?? Well, yes I want a LOD model standart aswell

    List of changes in resistance

    Can we use the "class ReloadAnimations" only in the CfgVehicles section or also in the CfgWeapon sections to add minigun or totating ammo effects to the normal rifles and pistols?? AND: I remember someone from BIS talking about a new command which enables you to use a custom config.bin/config.cpp (VERY USEFULL FOR MOD MAKERS!!. If implented, how does the command look like?

    Pistol proxies

    Jackie, you know i got the same pobs with my german special forces and the israeli special forces custom models. I already added a proxy "baretta.01" - and he's now displaying the weapon - however: i still don't know where to exactly place the proxy!! BIS HELP US!!! PS: Be honest, it shouldn't be a problem to simply upload some MLOD models of those soldier models.. what the hell are you afraid of??? We're doing this modding businiss FOR your game - and it's you not us earning the money from the sold units..

    Resistance does resist!

    Yeah! I bought the game yesterday (completly legal! and installed it - and it hasn't started/booted a single time!! It always shows the splash screen and then crashs back to desktop. 1.46 and 1.60 worked perfect! It's getting really furstrating now.. because i have not experienced a single major BIS release not crashing randomly on my system (which never has an older winXP install. then two weeks..) I give a shit about it wether i have an average or fast computer.. i just want the game to work! Because that's what i paid 30 god dammed EURO for!!!! My specs: 1.4Ghz 256MB RAM GF4 MX SBLIVE I wonder wether it could be the sblive... EAX support is always a crash reason.

    Regarding your texture problem: textures must be factors/dividents of "2" (example: 32x32, 16x32, 128x256, 512x512 etc). They should be in .gif, .bmp or .tga (32-Bit ALPHA channel) format. If you play by this rules you shouldn't have a problem

    Memory question

    Same probs with my gun! I have implented about 25 rounds (although the real mag has 100 rounds) to cut down the faces/poly count. The mag is simply moving to slow... Butwhen i would add 100 rounds the model would have about 1500 polys :-) That's leads me to another question: couldn't i use the view geometry/geometry LODs in weapons, too?? Because most of the ammo is always hidden in the mag casing ( and with view geometry the engine would process them..).
