Looks DANGEROUS! You could easily mistake a ghillied sniper for one of those palmetto bushes.

Which is the best grassed terrain, like with wheat, barley, flowers, corn-stalks, tall grasses, low grasses, etc.? I'm trying to find one to download, preferably with little or no addons required.

Thanks muchly for your help!

Yeah, I remember the Husqvarna getting good reviews as a scout bike in Soldier of Fortune, Gung-Ho, or American Survival Guide magazines back in the '80's.

Yeah, that's a pic of the HK G11 ACR... more beautiful than the G11 K2, in my opinion. The HKPack's G11 (which I harangued Vipersheart about constantly, to get it right) needs a bit more dispersion on the 3-round burst at 300 meters. Otherwise, I remember it being damn-near perfect. Soooooooo many games haven't gotten the 3-round burst and slow rate full-auto on the G11 right... -
MILES laser training system
Uziyahu--IDF replied to cobra@pulse's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I believe you need a little yellow key (looks like a little knob when inserted) in the laser emitter. This key is used to turn off the screeching harness, when shot, thus taking away your weapon's ability to shoot. -
MILES laser training system
Uziyahu--IDF replied to cobra@pulse's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I attended the Joint Readiness Training Center twice, back when it was located at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. When you projected the beam (you could do this without firing a blank by tapping on the sensor on the front with your finger) onto a nearby surface and looked at it through NVG's you would see a bright inner circle surrounded by a dimmer outer circle. I am guessing that the inner circle produced a kill (a constant annoying tone, as seen in "Heartbreak Ridge") when it hit one of the sensors on the MILES harness and that the outer circle produced the quick bleep warning "zing" of enemy fire, near-miss (near-hit, depending on how you look at it, lol). Once "killed", an Observer-Controller (O.C.) would have you retrieve the sealed card from your pistol belt, which would outline your injuries, how you were to simulate them, and what treatment would be required to prevent death or other injury within a certain amount of time. I once guarded two OPFOR who were expiring of their wounds. No one from S-2 came to interrogate them and no one bothered to give them First Aid. (And I was ordered not to aid or abet or communicate with them. I did talk with them at length about their jobs, as I had read about the OPFOR, called the U.S. Army's most highly-trained infantry, at the time.) Seemed like a violation of the Geneva Convention or Laws of Land Warfare, to me. "Corpses" and those who expired of their wounds had to be physically lifted into the bed of trucks to be transported to the Dead Zone. lol The blind had to wear a blind-fold. Deaf ear-plugs. : D Now imagine getting attacked a second time while "wounded" or blind or deaf... lol -
Yeah, I read the book while I was in the Army in the late '80's. Read much like the meat-grinder battles that set the stage for the role-playing game, "Twilight: 2000".

Yeah, that tornado is awesome! Tornado Script music video (14 Megs) Should be uploaded 5 minutes from the time of this posting...

Uh, I'm no modeller, but even at close distance with only one soldier on the screen at a time the default upper torso is practically rectangular, especially when looking at the back. And LODs can take care of the need to have so many units on screen at once. By the way, I really like that you are incorporating the different body shapes: Ectomorph: characterised as tall and slim/thin. Endomorph: rounded and with a generous waist size. Mesomorph: muscular and athletic looking.

Need deer, reindeer, and elk. Buck, doe, and fawn. And a bear!

I've already tried to use the ranging sight for the LAW (I own a training version, non-firing) but Capt. Adam Moore says that OFP's rocket performance doesn't jive with the ranging ticks on the sight. If you're interested, I also recorded the sound of the LAW being put into operation. Could we get deer, reindeer, and elk? Buck, doe, and fawn, so that I can play Deerhunter 2005 in OFP instead of switching to a separate game?

Sorry, but Rangers were wearing level-pocketed woodland camo BDU's in the late '80's. They must have dumped OD slant-pocketed BDU's in the mid-'80's, before I enlisted, because I remember seeing plenty of pictures of Rangers in OD slant-pocketed BDU's in the early-'80's.

FINALLY some freaking PRIESTS to go with the churches! Can you make some monks and nuns, too?
-
They look great but SIGHHHH... while you've got the correct 3-prong flash-hiders on the M16A1, you've got the M16A2 rear drum sight assembly to the rear of the carrying handle. A glaring mistake to anyone who has carried both of them.

It looks very good. Very realistic-looking. Reminds me of the Joint Readiness Training Center, when it was stationed at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. -
I can't tell which is more amazing: A) the people who break the so-called "engine limitations" of OFP B) the OFP engine's capabilities despite its so-called limitations.

You don't see them turning into small particles at the end? And if nothing else, it is a fine demonstration of how bright images are burned into the night vision. -

Here is a Windows Media Video weighing in at about 15 Megs that shows off the EnhancedTracers, if you enable them in the .cfg by editing it with a text editor. Â (change the 0 to a 1) The enemies are shooting JAM HD ammo while the player side is shooting default ammo. Unfortunately, I didn't have FRAPS running when I saw the best demonstration, but this will have to do. If you post this on a fan-site, please mirror it somewhere else, first. Â I don't have unlimited bandwidth. What I don't get is that the OPFOR are using red tracers, as far as I can tell, and the friendly on the M2 is using green tracers. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? (But then, I'm red-green color-blind like a mutha, so maybe it's my eyes getting it the other way around. lol) -

And with reflective car surfaces it isn't so important that the surfaces accurately reflect, but that they simply reflect SOMETHING in a dynamic and moving way. If Keg could make some simple textures of common car colors and program those into the next version, maybe those could be used for making reflective vehicle surfaces? -

Yeah, but in a way that is a COOL thing, because in real-life, at least in late 80's NVG technology, that is how it is! Pitch black at night but put on your NVG's and it is a whole new world! You actually NEED your NVG's to fly at night when you don't have your floodlight on, now! That is how it is supposed to be! Thanks, again, Keg and Feersum! -
Once, in the news, I saw where the IDF had uncovered a shop for manufacturing suicide bomber (starter) kits, complete with large ball-bearings. It was pretty much a belt with boxes on it.

Great job Kegetys and friend! Best thing out of Finland since either the Nokia cellphone or the Valmet assault rifle, take your pick. And is it me, or does Ground Attack! actually look MORE 3-dimensional as I fly around, now? And is there any possibility that the dxdll can INCREASE frame rates, because I swear that playing Ground Attack! is smoother with dxdll running than without. Great, great, work. OFP's water was one of the most embarrassing things about the game, graphically-speaking. Not anymore! Now we need have no shame in making our OFP movies. Anyone have a "most realistic-looking" list of settings I can try out? I'm saving a movie I made of the effects, right now.
