I definately think AC/DC (the greatest band on earth :P) should be in the 70's campaigns (I can just imagine a truck getting hit with an RPG7 and TNT blasting in my speakers). Using modern rock in the Nam campaign would be plain stupid IMO, it would be extremely unauthentic and would ruin the atmosphere.

Jeez, I find it strange people are against the Vietnam setting, ESPECIALLY since it ONLY won't be set there...BIS mentioned many times there will be campaigns in Africa and Europe. I for one am really looking forward to Vietnam, only as long a proper atmosphere is recreated. Vietcong was amazing since it really did look like Nam, with the music (MUST have Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, etc, to be good), landscape, the character's personalities, the dense jungle, also tunnels (without tunnels it's not Nam). I sure hope that there are some major physics modifications that allow for a realistic environment. Oh, and PLEASE ditch those destruction effects where the object bends and distorts like a cardboard box.

Definately Vice City. But the best station is my own MP3 one, and I also like 2 Minutes to Midnight (I can play that song on my guitar ), and Bark at the Moon (Ozzy Osbourne). Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 had TNT (AC/DC), and the Number of the Beast (also Iron Maiden), so that was cool too.

How do you make custom roads? In OFP I think it's a texture but it could be a model. We need to know so the Crime City island can be completed.

Hmm in the pic you posted the two soldiers in the back both face the front...I guess it might be the proxies, I don't know much about car modelling.

Hey anyone know what to put in the cpp for roads? I have no clue since nobody's done a custom road addon.

NM I noticed a little of the interior isn't textured, but I have a request. Can you make the people on the inside sit facing each other? I have never seen a limo that has two rows of seats like a van for example.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but my fire geometry (tells engine where bullets impact) LOD's never work. For example, I have a square building, then I make the Fire Geometry LOD, replicate that square a bit smaller than the model is, and name it Component01. Yet ingame the bullets/missiles/shells go straight through the building. Can someone please help me with this?

I noticed each piece has to be a cube, before I had more complex pieces. This fixed my problem, thanks anyways.

Yes I noticed now, the roads are flat models. Thanks for the demo model suggestion, I forgot about that.

They are, if I'm not mistaken a couple mods have made them. (I only know from screens)

I saw it, it was absolutely great. I'd give it a 9/10 for some small nitpicks, otherwise it was all I hoped for. The humor was VERY funny, the car chase was really cool, the rest of the action was so amazing as well. Really, one of the best action movies of the past few years. I'm glad they didn't overuse the 3d effects, I always loved how in T2 the effects were used only where needed.

On the topic of videos, has anyone seen the latest one for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? It looks amazing, the physics engine really is terrific. Also in the beginning it shows a real smokestack on one Chernobyl reactor, then it switches to ingame. I couldn't tell the difference until I watched it a couple times.

Hmm I did that, I have my Fire Geometry LOD done exactly as said, every piece named "ComponentX", only cubes/rectangles and triangular prisms used, yet still the bullets go straight through the building.

I am making a Vietnam mission, and I need to have a few things done: 1) Have 2 ambient sounds looping 2) Make people talk, I tried the wav2lip prog and I dragged a file into it, and nothing happened. I want two different pieces of music (one is music, the other is a rain sound) playing at the same time, both have to loop. I think I saw a script for looping music but I do not know how to use it, I am not that good at scripting.

Me and Vlados from the Caucasus Crisis mod are going to start working on a 1930's Mafia pack. Here are the planned contents: -Thompson 1928, Ithaca 37, Smith & Wesson M10 and Colt 1911. -One or two player models, the stereotypical Mafia guy (Suit, tophat) maybe one guy dressed in black and one in grey, or one in a suit and one in a trenchcoat. -One or two 1930's era cars, maybe a Ford or Chevrolet. Right now the Ithaca model is textured and completed (sorry no pic), and the Thompson model is done & partially textured.

I've made a sandbag model, can you guys make some suggestions for positions? I'm going to make a bunker pack, and there are too little on that site to be worth a pack. I might also make a concrete bunker and "underground" ones. I'm going to model a couple of other things, such as planks of wood, concrete walls, etc, and maybe release a "do it yourself" pack, and include a tutorial for geo LOD's and fire geometry lod's, etc. This way a lot of bunker positions can be made and I don't have to do all of them. :P

The Thompson model is done and the wood on it is textured, but besides that not that much progress on the pack.
