Geez, I didn't mean to start a war! Antichrist, I can say that a M-14 is more accurate than an FAL because I've shot both weapons. Do you want the serial number off of my FAL to prove it to you? Sure, the M-21 is out of date, now that the U.S. uses the M-24 which is based on the Remington 700 action. I own the civilian version of this also. The Remington 700 PSS. But weapons based on the Garand action are still more accurate than those based on the FAL and Kalishnikov actions.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really enjoying the modified Cessnas. It adds a new twist to OFP, and they are much easier to manuever than other fixed wing aircraft in OFP. I know that OFP is not a flight sim, but who cares! OFP is versitile, you can do anything with it. Dogfighting with them is fun. I also like the new HK addon pack by The Lost Brothers. Both the G-11 and the OICW have an incredible amount of firepower, and they look and sound pretty decent. I also like the targeting system on the OICW even though I don't know how close to the real thing it is, I haven't got to play with a real one yet.

I don't want to hurt your feelings, but wouldn't a weapon with poor range and accuracy be a poor sniper weapon? Sounds more like a CQB weapon to me. Also, something that small, and without a stock that is chambered to fire a caliber that is useful in sniping applications would have tremendous felt recoil.

I'm just curious why this is still being debated. People are gonna make, and have already made Barrets for OFP whether some people think it is stupid or not. Also, don't bullshit about what a weapon can or cannot do if you have no experience with them, or if you cannot back up your claims with factual data. Thank You.

I have been an advocate for a C-130 since I started posting on the forum. The runways on Malden and Everon are plenty long enough for take off and landing. All of the other planes already in the game don't even require 2/3 of the runway for take off. Being in an airborne unit that utilizes the plane very often. The C-130 is a very rugged aircraft, and is capable of take off and landing on unimproved, small airstrips due to it's low stall speed and beefy landing gear. Sure, there might be a problem doing forward airland operations on other parts of the Islands, but who cares about the legs. They walk evertwhere anyway. We want it for airborne ops! and Konyak, that screenshot is not of a C-130, that is (or is the equivilant of) a C-3 Globemaster, whick is the biggest f*ing plane utilized by the Western forces currently. Even if OFP was only an infantry sim, which it is not. (armor is not infantry) Infantry uses C-130's all the time. Also, someone said something about tac-airlifting a tank earlier you can't fit any MBT in a C-130, nor a C-141!

As far a PC games go, I would have to say it is the best I've played. Funny, because I got OFP as a gift. When I got it, OFP hadn't gotten to much acclaim yet in the U.S. I had never heard of it. I guess alot of peole don't like (that I have talked to) because they think it is too hard. They are just a bunch of wusses. I was a big Rainbow Six fan for a long time, but it just doesn't have the versitility of OFP, and gets boring fast. The Delta Force games just don't have the refinement. While those games are definitely FPS type games, OFP is something more, like a mixture of flight/armor sim, roleplaying, FPS, and real time war stratedgy on crack. I would have to agree with Sith though, The Ocarina of Time was a dope game.

I can't seem to remember how I beat this mission, I remember doing it though, because when you get to the extraction zone there are dead U.S. troops everywhere and you get captured and put in a tent. The dudes who are guarding you get waxed by some resistance, they capture you and take you to Slava.

What version of OFP are you running, and in what country? You might have to shitcan it and re-install.

Try droping an LGB in an A-10 while you are still on the ground. You will fly a good distance. I have killed myself with an M-2 by shooting into the side of the bunker that it was in.

yeah, don't you love it when you are cowering on the slope of a hill because you are out of laws, and just as the T-72, etc.. comes over the top and is bearing down on you, it gets nailed by a hellfire. Thank God for air support. It also amazes me when you get shot three or four times and don't die, but you still complete the objective and have to crawl to the evac point.

There is a command called "auto hover" in the actions menu. It will regulate your speed to a max of 25 knots or so and keep you level. Try landing using the 3rd person point of view, numpad [enter]. Just takes a little practice.

I think that happens because it's just an area trigger that you have to pass into to complete the objectives. I'll have to try that. I'm a collateral damage and high body count kinda guy.
