    Vehicles

Yet again I say HC-130. Self-propelled or towed artillery would be cool also.

    Sa-80

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">according to world.guns.ru, the SA-80 sux <span id='postcolor'> To each is own. Personally the more weapons to try the better. Also, only the M4-A2 has full auto capabilities. Only SOCOM uses that in the U.S. (my unit has them). Most conventional units have ditched the M16-A2 and 4 for the M4-A3, which retains the semi-and three round burst options.

    Plane transport needed!

I've heard lots of argument about making a C-130, but have not even heard a rumor of action. Just like people were trying to shoot down making a Barret, I believe someone will make one anyway, obviously producing a working vehicle is much more work than producing a light weapon, but hey, since I'm just a neophite and don't know how to do it myself, I will continue to advocate it. Talked to a dude at airborne school once who was in an airborne field artillery unit. He said almost everytime they dropped in heavy equipment that it broke. About airlifting an MBT. I meant MBT's that were in service in '85. An M1 is much larger than a Sheridan. Rd Fox is right, the Sheridan is visually modified at the NTC(armor) and also JRTC(infantry and SOCOM) to simulate a Russian T-55. Got a JRTC rotation in June, yuck!!!!

    More on my fn fal

Looks pretty good despite the fact that you don't have Oxygen. Which FAL did you use to model it? Is it metric or inch? I like your rendition because it looks like and has the hardware of an original FAL. I would like to see the other side to see if it has a standard or British charging handle. Also what kind of iron sights did you use. I've seen them with original (A sliding adjustable rear ghost ring, with an a front site post.) and also ones with HK-91 style sights. Wood furniture is rare on FAL's but does exist, it would give it a more rustic appearance.

    Mision: recon

Steal one of the T-72's in base just North of the insertion point. Put your dudes in with you and you have a full tank crew. You can kill everything = high points. Be vigilant all of the other armor in the mission, plus the Shilkas will come looking for you. You can pick them off as they arrive. I then drove to just outside the extraction area, and put the satchel charges around the tank I was driving and demo'ed it for good measure.

Fn fal (aka slr,if your from oz as well)?

That Savage is a good rifle. I almost bought one because they don't make the PSS left handed. Since I use a bipod, I can work the action with my right hand though. Just had to buy the PSS though, since Remington stopped producing them for the general population, and it's basically the same rifle we snipe with in the Army. Savage is a Canadian company am I right?

    Hovercraft

Nope. It's just rubber, Kevlar would be too heavy and expensive. A kevlar helmet in the U.S. will run you about $150-175 surplus. About $300 new.

Games portraying the "real horrors of war"

I voted #2. OFP is pretty good in the fact that anything can get you killed, even doing nothing. You get sent on some FUBAR missions just like what happens in real life. Mission objectives go to shit after intitial enemy contact, you get compromised, captured, hit by friendly fire, shot by your own side if you kill your own dudes. Etc...... I would like to see some flying body parts though. Also parachuting from high altitudes takes way too long. Ever jumped from like 2000 meters? Takes forever to hit the ground.

    Anyone notice?

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">I also notice that the soldiers are pretty childish in the way they act, they insult each other and such.<span id='postcolor'> SOP in U.S. Army!!! Plenty of idiots too!!!! All the way up the chain of command. If we had no sense of humor we would die from being wound up to tight. Compared to some of the shit I've seen in my military career. OFP is really mild. LOL

    Rivers, caves, jungle

That would be cool. Then you could play Pvt. tunnel rat. Someone better make an addon that has weapons with tactical flashlights if that were to happen. Inland bodies of water would also add realism to OFP.

    Hovercraft

I agree that it would be cool to able to move around inside of larger vehicles. So that you could fire out of them etc. A hovercraft would be cool. I was kind of dissapointed that the LST is not more functional. I tried to land a helo on the pad in the rear. Obviously that didn't turn out too well.

Fn fal (aka slr,if your from oz as well)?

We all have one thing in common here, we are all avid fans of OFP. I understand that we come from different countries and cultures, and tend to have different tastes in weapons. That's cool. They all have different advantages. 168GRN HPBT, I'm glad we both agree that the 700 is a good rifle. Yes, the action was developed long ago, but hey if it's not broke, don't try to fix it. A 700VS is very close to what I have, execpt mine in matte black and has a HS Precision Sniper stock that is Teflon/Fiberglass/Kevlar composite with an aluminum bedding block. I believe the VS also has the bedding block, and the PSS is based on that model. I agree with Placebo. Lets chill.

    Screen shots

How do you take screen shots in OFP, I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance.

    Psycho/idiot of the day

I don't know why someone would say some shit like that. Like you would want people to know that you had top secret information. It would make you are target. That guy must have been begging for a full cavity search. LOL

    Parachuting

Some of the scripts that are in the OFPEC can be easily modified to fit your needs. Such as one I modifed for a player controlled squad in an AI helicopter. As well as several AI squads in seperate AI helicopters.
