So, if you make a virtual gunners seat(just like the UAVs model) which you can't get into as a player, by the aid of gdtmod_helicopter_weapons you will be able to control the cannon. Of cource the model has to be worked on as well to make the gun move. Could you possibly do this? Because I would really like to have control over the gun on a Ka50 as is in real Ka50.

I guess this is up to the mission maker to decide. Isn't it possible to remove the ability to 'heal' someone from a medic by writing some code in the init line? thus only leaving the ability to first-aid. -

I was reading the list of features(http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Features_of_ACE2) and thought... Shouldn't this be corrected so that when kneeling, it will take the least time to build? I can't imagine someone filling up a sandbag while standing up right in real life. :D -

This should be pointed out in the DevHeavens issues page, because discussing it here will not come to a conclusion. Spend all the time you can use to make your ideas clear as possible and make a new ticket about your idea at DevHeaven, then you should ask everyone to vote for/against your ideas. Everyone should be taking that extra time to make clear of what you are exactly wanting to be done by ACE team, and use DevHeaven instead of presenting your ideas in this forum. There is a voting system at the DevHeaven which you can use to gather other peoples opinions and know what others think about your idea. Please use it where applicable. ArmA DevHeaven => http://dev-heaven.net/ If your think you are too lazy to do that, then I personally think your ideas are not worth being discussed. Don't assume that I'm disagreeing with your ideas. I rather do agree that the clime over obstacle animation is a little clumsy. But I don't know how you are wanting this issue to be solved. That's why I can't say Yes nor No about it. Think about it once again, and take your time to sort out what you are exactly wanting to be done. -
Hello to all dedicated server admins. As far as I know, I have never seen any servers which can run warfare missions without server crash. My simple question, Is there any dedicated servers out there if any, which can run "Warfare" without crashing? And if there is any, whats the specs of that server? I'm talking about any types of warfare missions which are based on original warfare systems developed by BIS. (i.e. Superpowers, Warfare BE, Warfare Proton Mods, Warfare AWP, etc...) Please post in the poll above and if you've got a server which can run warfare, please post a reply with the server specs too. Thanks! BTW, my server specifications are as follows:

Yes, the config was indeed crap. But I never knew that it was crap until I was told. Isn't there supposed to be some kind of example arma.cfg file or shouldn't there be a manual that explains a way to find out the optimum values for an unique server? I really would like BIS to sort one out if they haven't already made it. The current situation is where many server admins are experiencing server crashes and they can't even differentiate the problem of if it is a server spec problem, dedicated server bug, admin config problem, or mission bug. I really felt something had to be done here.:(

Now, I have tried this config and I was simply amazed by how much difference it made. I can now play warfare BE nonstop for as long as I want. The server fps is fairly stable at around 13-16. However, I still do expeirence server crashes SOMETIMES so this solution is not quite perfect. (i.e. crashes once out of 4 or 5 games played) I do suggest every dedi server admins to try this config setting for their server as well, if they are having the 'crash with warfare' problem. I know that about 70% of warfare type missions which are played out there are 'Warfare BE'. But please do remember the thread is about warfare in general, as said in the top post.

the second try with warfare BE. It crashed when playing for 3hours 20min. No error message. @Hurricane I see. So if your guess is correct, then we can do nothing about it unless BIS releases a 64bit OS compatible dedicated server .exe I really hope BIS will work on this issue, as the days of 32bit OSes are going to end in a few years time :D Ok, so Ill now give up trying to modify my PC but Im not going to give up playing warfare. A work around for this issue may only be accomplished by editing Warfare BE, making it smaller. As in terms of making numbers of active AIs much less, or somehow make the game end much earlier(at least within 3hours?). ---------- Post added at 11:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:35 AM ---------- Oh, wait. Is it your CLIENT, or is it your SERVER crashing? -

With 12GB of page file, I have only decently played warfare only once yesterday and it has crashed, but it did not show the 'Out of memory' message. I'll try further testing by playing warfare. -

Hey 770fs Good to hear there was someone out there with the same problem. I'm sure I can't solve this out only by my self. So, talking from your experiences, you just moved to a 64bit OS and the problem was gone? No special settings or no nothing? More info about exactly what you did on your machine would be more than great. Im sure it is NOT the most preffered solution, as it doesnt tell us any clue as to what the cause of the problem was. But if it is the only solution out there, then I guess I just have to accept it. Very fortunate solution for me though, in terms of the needs to buy a new 64bit OS. Ive pre-ordered my windows 7 today :D I am still seeking other solutions that might cure the problem so please keep them coming. This thread is not only for solving my problem but also for others whos got the same problem. -

I have set the Page file setting to 8GB max(8184MB to be prisise) and ran warfare. The server did end up crashing but this time the error message showed some different values. I'm guessing this is supposed to be a good start. I had a feeling with around 16 people connected at the time of the crash, it was doing quite well compaired to before. Im now going to try increasing the max page file size to 12GB and well see what happens. -

@kklownboy I havn't tried, so Ill try setting it to 8GB and see what happens. I will report the results here. @Thirdup Maybe it is about the missions being too big, but also Im sure some servers out there can run them. Therefore I want to play it im my server as well :) -

@kklownboy OK, I might ask this again in the multiplayer section, if only when I can't find a solution here. I usually test play with Warfare BE(Benny Edition) @Hurricane Yeah, I did think about fiddling around with the page file setting, setting it to its max. But unfortunately as I found out, the PF setting was already on its max. (As it is a 32bit OS and I have a 4GB of physical memory - 4092MB is its max) If I wanted to increase it further then Im going to need a 64bit OS. Fortunately, Im planning to buy a Windows 7 when it comes out, so I will be able to run my dedi server on a 64bit OS soon enough. Could this be it? and would this be the ONLY solution to the problem? If anyones got a better solution then, Im always waiting.:bounce3: -

@Hurricane Very interesting infomation. I hope BIS is reading this thread and hopefully fix your problem. Little sad news for me though, as its not going to help me because the server has nothing to do with VRAM. It doesn't even have a monitor connected. I have a separate machine for playing on. -
