I spent E19 to get FT working. How much is TrackIR?
-
What exactly is different on United Sahrani as compared to the older one? I haven't seen any difference. I'd have expected some repaired buildings in Bagango, but no.
-
Got it. Thanks.
-
Oh yes. Harsh language. In use in all major fighting forces around the civilised world. And America.

HAHA I don't blame you for laughing all the way to the bank, NaturalPoint_Vincent. Good luck with your patents. Fortunately Freetrack, being free, open source software, doesn't require any financial justification from a significant other, nor any financial commitment for that matter and is fully capable with the majority of usb webcams available. You're not tied down to any one piece of expensive hardware, a generic webcam is cheap and easy to get. Not to mention the Freetrack software has features currently unavailable to TrackIR users and with more to come. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freetrack BS. A good web cam is 100$ to me, and to spend a couple of hours to get the LEDs is worth 200$of my time. So i get it all from NP, and they get Devs to notice. your such a crapper on this kinda of thread... pimping your open source. sick of it. And i have tired it, ill stick with NP. Bless!

Whereabouts? Grid reference?
-
Aha! You can merge the two files even if they aren't from the same island! That could cause wierd results! Imagine merging a Porto mission with a Rahmadi one.
-
I did try to merge a Sahrani (your northern airports) into my United Sahrani (BAS f) mission but the latter just never appeared in the list. I'll try again and report back.
-
How can this be made to work on QG Sahrani? In the past, I've used the merge in the editor to get the airport into my BAS missions. I'd like to use the Pita airport on a Reunited Sahrani mission, but the editor wont let me merge them. Am I going to have to do a good old fashioned copy/paste of the unit from one map to the other, or is there a more accurate way?

Yes you are absolutely right. ArmA supports TrackIr, not Freetrack. It just happens that the two present similar data to the game. It's a little like saying ArmA supports Logitech mice. Of course that means it also supports many other makes of mice. Not a perfect analogy, I know, but it's the best I could come up with! Saying that we need to support TIR so that developers will support it is stretching the point a little. I'm sure that the developers know that TIR AND FT support is something they want to be able to write on the game box. I support FT because it's so much cheaper than TIR. Am I damaging the chances of having support for these systems in the future?

How to make a timer?

Does this work in multiplayer? -
But he never lost the CD. 'Can't play ArmA no more'. It's a double negative.

Nurse, the optical bleach please! That'll teach me to ask for updates! Mind you, I bet that aircraft has better ground handling characteristics than the BIS dakota.

It is a shame. I can't use my Nostromo N52 and Saitek Evo at the same time.:(
-
Shameless bump in the hope of some sexy updates from RKSL!
-
Not exactly. There's a Finnish chap on the FT forums who will either supply you with all the appropriate bits (the combination of LED and resisters is crucial) either loose in a bag or pre assembled. Being a lightweight, I went for the ready made one. I spent 19 Euros (iirc) on the kit and a few quid on a webcam and I had it all working within hours. I haven't seen TrackIr in action, but I am certainly most happy with Freetrack.
-
TrackIr's major con is that it's very expensive. Freetrack on the other hand, isn't. http://freetrack.online.fr/english/

Did you get your previous warnings for being rude?

You won't find anything using the search on these forums. It's shockingly poor. Why BI soldier on with a version of ikonboard that's 5 years out of date, I don't know. Meanwhile, back at the topic; If you want to record what you see on your screen, ie through your players eyes, FRAPS and Gamecam are both good, although not free. FRAPS is good and simple but does create enourmous files. Gamecam performs better but is more complex. If you want to get a different viewpoint, ie not through your soldiers eyes, you have to either be creative and enlist a good mh6 pilot, or start using camcreate. Look in the wiki for that. Here's what you can do given patience, FRAPS, Windows Movie Maker and a decent MH6 pilot to fly you around. http://www.teamspaff.co.uk/visitsahrani.wmv

I meant just as your definition reads, dropped as in lobbed out the back of the aircraft. By the way, that metal pallet you see is a standard aluminium airfreight pallet, 121 inches long, 96 inches wide.
-
When you say dropped, do you mean
-
How, old, are you. 9?,
-
Don't you mean, The other Hellfire missile types require a laser desginator lock to remain active until the target (or the missile, really) is destroyed Holy poop. This forum software sucks and blows massively.

I've just taken delivery of my new keyboard, the Zboard Merc and it doesn't have a default profile for ArmA. Is there any way I can print out the key config from the game so I can start to make up a profile? Thanks in advance, Tanky -Paul-

And the keyboard is rubbish. Horrible design with no thought for ergonomics. I'm sending it back. Thanks for everyones help.
