  1. Fifth mission Paradise Found - NATO path Crossoads instruction are a bit too confusing. He talks about Echo, Delta and Golf without explaining which is which, and in the text briefing and goals in the map view isn't also explained. It isn't very clear what you have to do, for example the map have marked a hill but Crossroads didn't mention it. I mean, I know already what you are supposed to do after doing a pair of tries, I'm putting myself in the skin of a more noob player. edit: And I started the mission with two uav terminals, one from the previous mission? and one new. You shouldn't add it if the player already has one.

  3. I'm in the last mission, the epilogue. I found a Kuma with several red areas. I have a explosive specialist with a tools package, but I can't get him to repair it. Is it normal?
  4. Third mission. Just a glitch in the end phase: the AT soldier they assign you have a normal soldier icon on your hud, with the AT indiator. Fourth mission. In the gear menu before the mission, I took a mxm sniper rifle and a 12x scope and a divisor by zero error appeared on screen. The error still appears. The .rpt is growing, 300mb already. lol. fn_module_groupid.sqf (something like that), line 14. edit: nah, it happens always, even if I don't take a weapon.

    [SP] Flight School 101

    Because the circuit is long, after a while I get bored and start gaining more and more speed to give it more emotion... until it finally bite me in the ass because with the speed I hit something I didn't see nor had time to avoid, and I crash. In a way, I'm my worst enemy in this mission. :P
  8. Where the hell is the vip to capture in the Clear mission? I inspected the church and around the closest dozen houses to the church, all empty. I suppose I didn't kill him by mistake because the mission would fail then.

    Is the explosive charge damage ok? It was changed the other day. I say this because I was playing today a simple but nice mission, "On the other side", where I have to blow up 2 artillery pieces. I used 2 explosive charges and a claymore in one of them, and it still didn't blow up.

    Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

    I have a new computer. I7 4770K, 16gb ram, amd 290x. The game is so cpu bound that I had almost the same framerate playing at 100% 3d resolution and at 200% 3d resolution. (and my native resolution is 1920x1200).

    Bingo Fuel is impossible?

    I thought it was a great mission, and I did it without using tanks (didn't know there was a repair truck somewhere!). There is AA vehicle or a IFV on top of a hill you have to destroy with some at launcher before taking the real truck. More missions like this one, BIS.

    Rate the second episode!

    I finished the campaign, at last! I gave it a 8/10, and could have done a 9/10 if the scouts missions idea had a better execution (affecting later missions and not only for taking loot, salving all the equipment, having someone going with you). But in general, it gave me what I wanted after Survive. A longer campaign, with the same quality, but more missions, more complex ones, harder, and with more player agency. The twist at the end is interesting, and there are some fine missions in the campaign. The only other flaw is that, again, it's all infantry missions. Come on, I want vehicles! Tank missions, ifv, armored jeeps! choppers, planes! I find a pity the game has so many toys but later the game designer use so few in their own campaign. I hope in the third campaign they are present, as it make sense, with NATO forces entering in scene.

    AMD Mantle Support possible?

    GPU is used... by drivers and graphical APIs. Those are executed in the cpu, and have a big overhead under certain settings. Arma 3 is a prime example of it.

    4 years (I supposing Arma 3 development started one year before the official announcement) wasn't enough?

  16. I was going to ask this. I'm going to do all of them because I enjoy playing the game but... why complete the objectives, in game? You do win supplies, can you make the next main missions easier??
  17. Hello fellow goon. AI won't do break contact because they don't know the concept of breaking contact, unless it's in a scripted situation, they don't know how to do it, after 12 years they still haven't coded that into the game. The whole concept of running away while being shot is alien to them. If they are being shot, they are in combat mode, that means covering fire, advance slowly, going prone, going from cover to cover and watch directions, etc.
  18. The scouting is just very badly done, from a immersion perspective (apart from how unclear is the system, as everyone has pointed out). I mean, you are a soldier in insurgent camp, and after hearing by chance a pair of guys talking between them (they weren't even talking to you!), you chose to go your merry way alone without saying anything to anyone to "make war"?? Is this Skyrim where you are a hero doing dungeon raids???

    You could have said "the answer is no" :P I asked because they way you answered someone before, it kind of implied it wasn't taking in account said factors. ---------- Post added at 22:19 ---------- Previous post was at 22:17 ---------- Well, visual detection <> noise detection. A prone target is several times smaller than someone standing up. Try to see someone 200 mts away standing vs someone prone. Now, that's only visual, as you say it would be cool if movement while prone produced (for the AI detection systems) a higher noise than for example crouching. In fact I could swear that already exists. Sometimes I tried to sneak passing by a guard from behind, and he detected me. They don't have eyes in the back, so I suppose it was sound.

    Your mod "overwrites" the native perception system from Bohemia? Normal native AI already is affected by Time of Day and others factors. If the answer is yes, then I would give it more priority. All the night missions will be unplayable meanwhile.

    Yeah. I know it wouldn't realistic, but I always thought it would be better to gamify it a bit and give exclusive priority to Player's orders, even if that means ignore being shot by bad guys. That, or put a combat behavior where the AI prioritizes being fast to move to get out of conflict is better than being slow, careful and using lots of cover.
  22. Yes to all, if possible. Though I understand that's not very practical, so:. -Maybe you should limit to the latest 3 vehicles used, near the base, or if not the player could accumulate dozens of them over time. -I don't care if some light details like a texture or number of rear mirrors change between missions. Losing a vehicle between mission is worse. -Yeah, save the car status. If possible, also save the immobilized ones, increases the immersion if you go over there again and maybe if you find a repair truck you can recover it. -put a vehicle car park near base, doh.
