physics Wow! Are talkin' about the same game here man? I don't play much MP as well but Ironsight has said most of what is worth saying. AFAIK, you can pretty much go up to the 52 groups (or whatever it is) limit in MP as well, though I wouldn't recommend it due to lag. Some big missions I've played got 32 slots available. EDIT: Q 3: Download All Seeing Eye and you get a picture. However, an OFP 'feature' is that you can't join a server that is playing, you have to have one in "creating" or "waiting" mode. Also, there are MANY, MANY reasons why to buy OFP, however, I recommend you take a look around 'cause I don't think it's the multiplayer that makes OFP great.

well, for one he uses the ducktape mod ( see screen of the "about to be shotgunned" guy) and maybe he couln't handle it and uppened his brightness? well, he can do that but it takes away SO MUCH from the game... i played it without brightening the screen up (and without the flashlight ducktaped to my rifles) and WOW! Â Â Â First, I use the Super Doom 3 mod 0.4a, not the simple duct-tape mod. A 22nd century Marine not equipped with NVGs, let alone a flashlight when shooting (only with pistol, shotgun, SMG, chaingun), is, well...silly. Secondly, the brightening option in D3 only increases contrast, it doesn't remove shadows or actually increase gamma or brightness significantly, it is so that you have to play the game the way it is supposed to be. Thirdly, yes I brightened a few pics in Photoshop CS so you can see something. Doom 3 is not ment to be a realistic game. It's ment to be a scary, DARK game. What's the point in playing when all the enviroment is all lighten up by your flashlight? I mean, the scene (SPOILER) where you escort a dude and then his torch goes out and monsters spawn everywhere. What's the point in that when you can see them clearly? I got shit scared by that 'cause the only light scoure where simply the little red "flames" that comes from the imps skin. Scary.

Gollum, have u turned off shadows in those screenies? 'Cause there's no place in the game (at least that far I got) that is so bright. The whole base is darker than a grave.

The reason why we are mad is cause OFP is a great game and should be treated as one. Instead the public doesn't know what it is and they go for games like Counter Strike instead.

Also fun to do is: Skiing with PTB, put a PTB on a hill and ski down. Put out some triggers as gates. Use the church hill and put loads of civvies there. Then, grab some satchels, take a ride down to the town and booooom. Hehe, see how far you can spread the dead bodies. Car Golf, Use satchels to blow away a car to the hole. Really fun in MP.

Yes, it take supplies to move by sea. But at that time IRL it saved a lot of resources and time if you moved by sea. In Medieval it takes ages just to build one boat. I mean, 3 years? Common!

I really hope they implent a better boat system than in Medieval. In Medieval it was a pain to move across water but in real life the water were the real "interstates". I didnt like that as it was really hard to conquer the world with Ireland and em islands down in that water wtf it name is in english.

I'm running ultra detail on my 256MB 6800GT Â It is not only for 512MB cards, it is most suited for 512MB cards. Carmack said you could experience lag on some of the larger levels if you don't have 512MB video ram. I have'nt had any lag at all on any of the levels. Running ultra detail, 8xAA, 8xAF, vsync off, 1280x1024: >=45fps From what I've heard it was only available on 512 MB G-cards. I haven't tried it myself though 'cause I'm afraid my poor lil' G4 MX 128 would break down.
