    Christmas

If you see that bright yellow star in the sky, it isn't the second coming. It means I finally found the crate full of yellow flares. Merry Christmas!

    Age of Empires 3

The home city system is a good idea, make no mistake. But the fact that they got rid of all trade, ignored everything outside the Americas, abandoned all us low specs players and switched from their entertaining informational campaigns to movie-like rpg, it kinda cancels out the good. Â And if they were going for an all American colonization game, why the hell did they have the Ottomans in there? The Dutch need to pwn something in the New England map. I'm looking at you, Sweden. I guess there are always X-Packs.

    Age of Empires 3

It pretty much confirms AoE4 and 5. I, II and III are the concept art for their respective games, so its pretty obvious that IV and V show what the last two games are about.

    Age of Empires 3

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but some very interesting information from another forum has come to my attention. It seems that in the back of AoE3 Collectors Edition there is a very peculiar piece of artwork. Now, I have no idea what it could mean, so I decided I might share this with you: Hmm? Â

    3-D Modelling Graphic Novel/Comic Book?

Not for OFP, so I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but for Half Life2 there is this popular mod called Garry's Mod, where you can pose ragdolls(from HL2, CSS,DOD:S and many custom models) to create comics. It's really hard at first to make a decent one but with some practice and PS editing skills, you can make some really impressive stuff. Here are some examples from other comics done in G Mod: Example 1 Example 2

    Urban Dead

Le Frenchman is in the Pooll Crescent Police Department in Eastonwood. He is my favorite and strongest character but he's really low on ammo. El Frencho isn't doing all that well. He has both a pistol and shotgun but its a bit hard leveling up. La Zombie, my only zombie character, to put it lightly, sucks. Its impossible to level up and the scientists keep reviving me. LEAVE ME ALONE!

    Urban Dead

Jeez, I was safe in Lockettside, getting lots of ammo, killing the occasional zombie. I had a good life but nooo I had to go to Barrville and try and find Harnu. Now, the only safe PD isnt even barricaded and I get bitten and I'm low ammo. Â I'm getting out of here asap. Â

How is WWII remembered in your country?

Going little off-topic here but does'nt the US history curriculum include anything prior to the 18th century? World History(including meso-american civilizations) from the begining to Tokugawa Japan is in a class called Global History I. World History starting from European absolutism to late 1990's goes in Global History II. Stuff like Jose Marti and Simon Bolviar were covered here. A.P.U.S.H. and US History Regents focus on North American history. We cover alot more ground than the US Regents classes due to being an accelerated class and reading a chapter every couple days at home instead of spending a week on a chapter. Sorry for ot. Â

How is WWII remembered in your country?

In New York schools, they push the idea that doing nothing lets bad things happen. We spend alot of time talking about the events leading up to WWII and our teacher placed alot of emphasis on how it was better for Hitler to not be assassinated before the battle in Berlin, as there was a possibility of him being replaced by a very much more battle experienced general, making the war last even longer. In the class I am in now,(Advanced Placement US History), we spend only 2 weeks on a unit, which means all the boring Columbus stuff is over within a week. When we are doing the American Revolution, the regular classes are just starting with the early explorers. Generally, WW2 is represented here like anywhere else in the US. Average "w3 saved teh wurld!1" kind of attitude. We understand that the Japanese interment camps were wrong, but those times were desperate and paranoid. I personally believe too much guilt and shame has been put on Germany, who is just as guilty or even less guilty as Japan in some respects. My grandfather was in the Coast Guard and stationed at Fort Niagara, where he met my grandmother, of German decent. After the war, he had the funnest job in the world; dragging out bloated corpses out from the Niagara River who had jumped over Niagara Falls to commit suicide. "After a few days, you don't pull them out by the arm. Their skin falls off like a rotten apple that way." he would tell me. Â

    David braben starts new project

"Not FPS - MGS!" I. Can't. Believe. I. Missed. That! It wasn't until awhile ago that I realized that was a joke on the viewer. Ah, well. Some bad news:

The devs really need to get rid of the moustashe. He hardly looks like Snake now. Â

    David braben starts new project

Yeah right. Just like "in-game-videos" of the E3 2005. People said similar things when the MGS 2 footage was released. Of course, we know how that game turned out. Â *** Regarding the trailer: -Snake looks old. Really old. -The intro part looked too fps-y. MGS was about stealth. -It had a Zanzibar kind of feeling. Until it actually said it was after X years after Big Shell, I thought this was a remake. I'm guessing this is the "how the hell am I going to hide in that?!" enviroment they were talking about. Â
