Not sure I understand the question there Pang.

Question: what will the Blackhawk models be armed with? This makes a difference with regards to its offensive/defensive nature when designing missions before the addon is released. Miniguns on transport versions....K/L DAP of course has a mixture of attack weapons...everything from M230s (same gun as Apache) to miniguns (forward firing) FFARS and Hellfires.

I wasnt asking so that we could make it......was interested in getting my hands on one now. Looks like a bunch will be sent to Iraq for their troop rotation plans.

Unfortunately...in this case...she went poking around our server a little too much...and posted pictures she found from there. Not exactly nice Internet ettiquette. What this does now, is make everyone poke around that folder, so it's best I just remove them all together.

Avon...I wish you would have asked before posting those...I have removed the images from the server as those particular shots were not meant to be released.

The other mod will supply pilots. As for JAM...unknown at this stage.

I really cannot comment on this Avon. Sorry...would love to answer it if I could...but I need to respect the wishes of the addon creator. As for the "transfer" conditions. There was no "transfer" of work. The team creating these units has made their own models from scratch. We have provided some material for them to help texture the units (my own photography of AH-1Ws from MCAS Futenma in Okinawa, Japan) although it is unknown whether these textures will make the final release of their units. Entirely their decision. Our current models for the AH-1W and UH-1N may be released publically for other mod teams to pick up where we left off. Not sure if we are going to do that yet. Models are in various stages of development and have no LODS which means significant work for a mod team in getting these ready for an OFP release. The AH-1W also has fairly basic textures applied.

I'd be happy to combine efforts with BBE if they are up for it.

Like I said.....they are being made....just not by us. And if we release them to the public...you may see them released sooner than you think. The other option would be make this a joint project with someone...with us giving tech support but another team actually doing the bulk of the work.

You know.....we have been discussing this....and we might release the Supercobra as kind of public domain model that addon makers can use a base for their own....with credit to us for the original model. But we'll see....we are discussing it amongst ourselves at the moment.

Miles...your gift with words never ceases to amaze me. Some nice sentiments and observations raised here. Nice work. The death of anyone, although tragic (and in Lawrie's even more so given his age) gives us all an opportunity to reflect on life...both ours and of others. As Miles mentioned, let use this event to honour Lawrie, his achievements, his impact on our lives and the community. But let us also use this to remind ourselves that there are real people behind the nick names used on this board and in the community, and we would be well served if we remembered this the next time we think about posting abusive or inflammatory posts. Lawrie, in leaving us, you may have given more than you anticipated.....addons, artwork, advice, friendship...and the opportunity to examine our own lives and our conduct when participating in this community. Is that right? Dayum...I thought they were only Pacific dwelling...there ya go....another fact for the day. Found out the other day that the top section of Tokyo tower was built from recycled US Korean war tanks. Too expensive to ship the wrecks back home so they sold them to the Japs as scrap metal.
