Entering BAS team beta cycle. Release is expected fairly soon. Pics will be posted in the next 24 hours. Will require the BAS MH-60s in order to function as they re-use the scripts and functionality of that addon. They all contain several texture faces which can be set with your own airframe numbers and tailcodes. Several variations of tail codes and REAL WORLD airframe numbers will ship with helos. Pack will contain -HH60G Euro Lizard scheme -HH60G Block 152 Euro Lizard Scheme -MH-60G AF Special Operations gunship grey scheme Desert version dropped for this version due to time constraints. The pack will also contain 2 very special birds that commemorate the people who gave their lives to save others. One is the bird from the Perfect Storm and the other is a Pavehawk that went down in Afghanistan last year. I have had tremendous help from real world AFSOC personnel on this....their contributions will be mentioned in the readme. Just a few more issues to iron out and we should have some new helos for ya.....they totally come alive with a nice scheme like the Lizard scheme. Look like new birds ;-)

Aaaaah...the ol' fist coming out of the banana trick....gets them everytime.

Can non Belgium players come along? I wonder what the rules are regarding driving your car across borders with airsoft guns in them...anyone know?
-
Any of you guys belong to a virtual squadron or anything?? This truly is an impressive game.....and I've seen enough of these kinds of complex peices of software (OFP included) to be patient enough to wait until the developers begin to iron out the issues. Can't wait to see the future of this progress.

You're partially right. Marine pilots and aircrew do wear the olive drab flight suites, but they not supposed to wear camo covered helmets, it has absolutly nothing to do with identifying them as grunts, becuase they're not grunts. Some do, but it's considered a safety hazard when they do. Their helmets are supposed to be covered in white reflective tape so it is easier to see them at night while on the flight line. I know this because I work around them all day long   Just a little FYI: The Marine Corp IS testing a MARPAT Flight suite and if they pass, expect to see them within the next few years. Don't forget they wear Desert Tan flight suits as well in appropriate environments...ie. Iraq ;-)

Fastroping Yes it is possible...and this has been discussed ad nauseum before. It is possible but rarely done...on the LB it is a very dangerous maneuver and as the job of any good soldier is to get to his objectively as safely as possible, where there is a way to infiltrate without fastroping they choose it. To give our helos some diversity we decided long ago to not include fast roping with LB. AS mentioned before.....it's such a small and maneuverable helo....fast roping is rarely used with this helo as opposed to the BH. Num. of Operators on Bench Yes...officially it can carry 3...but normally only 2 operators are on a bench...why...fully loaded with gear...it's tight even for 2 operators....put 3 fully loaded operators on there and intorduce a risk that someone gets hurt during insertion as heavily laden troops spill off the benches. 2 per bench stays people. HUD Systems None yet...although the new Mission Enhanced Littlebird (MELB) may have some new avionics introduced to add this capability. Aiming on the AH-6J is done by zeroing the guns and marking the position on the canopy with a grease pencil...yes..very low tech :-) Foldable Benches Why??? More development work for what essentially would be eye candy and serve no function in game. Not going to happen. @MilesTeg I have been discussing with one of our consultants about International versions and I am keen to re-texture the exisiting 500 TOW in the LB pack to a real world scheme..such as the Israeli and Kenyan versions....so your International version will eventuate.....but it will be a private project..much like the reskin Ebud and I did of Footmunch's Skyraider and is out of scope of the BAS Littlebirds. @Heatseekeer Multiple guns are an engine limitation and we have no work around for this.

At Charles De Galle Airport today, an individual, later discovered to be a school teacher, was arrested trying to board a Air France flight while in possession of a compass, a protractor, and a graphical calculator. Authorities believe he is a member of the notorious Al Gebra movement. He has been charged with carrying weapons of maths instruction.

Yes...if you know the where the image was sourced from...it does appear incredibly tasteless. Thanks for educating me Doc.

Trust me....you do not want to see that. Our Naked BAS calendar did abysmally on Amazon.com. Back to the fundraising drawing board I guess.

It's a VERY nice and easy model to build....contact me if you need any help building....I've built 3 of those.

(..) Less maneuverability? (..) well, maybe. i mean: its perfect the way it is now! but i was pointing to the magic "death dive" the littlebirds tend to go into at a certain speed- i think it´s somewhere around 250km/h and above. but maybe there´s a value which keeps the LBs flight behaviour but lowers the possibility of the death dive. anyways, it´s still cool the way it´s now: it kinda fakes the max speed limit //edit qoute code *writes down "Make LB pang proof"* .... .... .... .... *scratches off list*

Considered it...but haven't seen a moving map display in any LB images yet...will check with sources on this one as well.
-
On our list...as well as the minigun model from the MH-60s
-
Don't got there Col.!!! And stop visiting those dodgy sites whilst posting here

You're scaring me dude.....

And both are just as useful.

We'll look into it..thanks Again...we'll look into ît. Problem here...I had asked for this as well....problem is that it would break older missions that already have the MP5 armed version in it. MP5 stays...however, the SOAR pilots obviously carry the M4 Eotech. Less maneuverability? Will investigate...although I'm not sure how realistic it is to come in that speed...I will check with my sources. To be honest....I don't think this will happen.....it would mean a new LB model and blow out the size of the pack for what isn't an essential function of the LB. Personally...I think this should be a mission designer task.
