Which graphic card? Do you have the latest drivers for the graphic card installed? Some mobile graphic chips, e.g. "NVIDIA GF2 MX mobile", don't have all features of the desktop versions of the chip.
-
Did you use the search engine of the forum? This search result may help you.
-
1.) Don't post a question in more than one forum 2.) Use the search engine 3.) If you use the search engine ("ground and red and hammer" in all forums, this year) you will find at least: -> this And more...

I had quite the same problem with Gamespy and Zonealarm. Try to connect to a server. If that fails look into the log file of your firewall, if there is one. Maybe there is an entry that says, server "abc" blocked. Then try to allow this server in you firewall. You may also look on my post about my problem. It would also be useful if you post which firewall you use. Have you already used the serach engine for that problem? I would do that!

If you want to Kick your DirectX you may want to use the DirectX Buster. But use it on your own risk!

In org. OFP it depends in which position you will be in the mission. If you area the squad leader, you may have the option to select your weapons depending on the mission. But at least the weapon pool you can choose from is statically limited by the mission script. In Resistance you can collect weapons during a mission. These weapons will be stored in a weapon pool during the campaign and you can select from this weapon pool in the mission briefing.

The AC97 is not bad. I have it, too. But a SB with EAX is sometimes nice, if a game supports it.

I think it was just easier to create only one type of stationary MGs.

Maybe you should post your system specs, mainly your graphic card. Your Problem seems to be the same as in this post But there was no solution for this. Sorry I've no more info for you

Do you talk about 40.72 Final? I have no problems with that version... works fine. Why do you ask? Do you have a problem? I think TROUBLESHOOTING may not be the right forum to post questions if you don't have any trouble!? Also there are other threads regarding NVIDA 40.72: First topic Second topic

Suma just wrote it in *TROUBLESHOOTING FAQ: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Q: I play Resistance on high detail terrain and visibility of about 2500m - which should be of no problem, as I'm playing on very powerful computer. Still performance seems to be very slow, especially in some missions. What can I do? A: Use lower terrain detail settings (like "Normal"), especially when using increased viewing distance. Terrain detail level "High" requires a lot of memory and CPU resources, and it was included mostly in anticipation of hardware that will be available several years from now. <span id='postcolor'> He said "several years"! I hope I will have a drive to insert my OFR CD in 10 years to get the full graphic power But nice that BIS is so optimistic!

Yahooooo! Great patch. Just downloaded the patch. My first little experience was with a resistance sniper on a bike The hunter rifle is cool. An the ride on the bike... Perfect. But why has the bike a motor? I have the option to turn it on or off via the menu... At least it seems not to smoke if it gets damaged, but it goes slower and makes some strange noise which I never heared from my good old bike By the way, who is the first who does a stunt over the ramp with the bike?

Seems that the USA needs an other reason for an Iraq war. I don't think that an US pilot could be held as POW in the Iraq for 11 years without the knowledge of the CIA or other intelligence service.

I'm sure they LIVE there <span id='postcolor'> Have you ever tried to chat with them? Maybe they are dead long ago and their PC is still running But I have also noticed some people who are always logged in on a game server, whenever I join in. I also read an article about internet game addiction some weeks ago. So it seems to be not such an uncommon problem...

I think this post in TROUBLESHOOTING may help you. The wonder of the magic serach function You may also find many other topics regarding server creation if you use the search function or MP FAQs.

Seems to be not bad. Very detailed, so I had no time to read the full doc, but I will do it! What I've read is a good description for both newbies and veterans. Since I am not a very talented A10 pilot and never had any cause to improve my flying; now I have one. Tell your friend to keep going!
