Ah! I'll just sit it out then. Thanks for the info!

Anyone got ideas of what exactly is causing this marvelous effect? Altering monitor settings doesn't seem to drop it either. Dunno!

from ur sig 4 in1, it's ur own fault buying the first generation hardware, such as 8800's. smart ppl wait untill some decent next gen HW comes into market. Smart people don't buy computers at all. With your advice I would wait for the "perfect computer (or GFX card whatever)" forever.

That's a Finnish combat-diver. Haven't seen any other combat-divers with a DPM wetsuit.
-
You can't have it all, y'know.
-
You're missing the buttstock ident that is typical for the AK-74. Bakelite magazine looks fine. Good work

I think the animation delay issue could be easily fixed in the upcoming patches. From an Armed assault info interview

I would keep down the trash talk if I were you. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=56170

The statue looks like Guba! Maybe he's a celebrated hero in Sahrani.
-
These could be Soviet troops as they only have the flak-vest and the RD-54 on. Only the Berezka pattern looks a tad wierd.
-
Yeah well the T72 is one of the smallest modern MBT's around. Height is only 2,19 meters and it's 3,59m wide.

I like my missions with slow tempo. Long skiing trips are pretty boring I agree but they give you a good chance to plan your strategy and move into positions freely. And most of the missions offer a truck hidden somewhere near the start so the skiis aren't really the only option.

Well, isn't the Inv44 mortar identical to the SEBnam ones? I mean, they're just like grenade launchers shooting a projectile straight forward not in a arc. Harder to implent working mortars, FDF had those but they needed a flat surface to properly work.

Yeah! Would be great to have like huge sounds, I'd love to hear the engine roar loud and the 125mm cannon blow your ears off! Maybe it could be implemented the same way the BOH-team did on their jets? I'm having a blast running over people with this tank, thanks RHS!

I didn't mean Afghanistan area, I meant "regular winter"/snow one. He should call his pack "Soviet Winter Pack (Afghanistan)" 1.1 Regards Thunderbird84 Well, the 'Afganka' khaki wintersuit was, and still is in some units regular issue, troops wore it in combat situations. Nothing really "Afghanistan" about this pack, it's a good general winter pack for pre-Russian federation units. Take note that the first camouflage pattern for motorized infantry was the VSR that was issued in 1991, after the fall of Soviet Union. I'm like some Russian chair general, I only seem to post in topics involving Russians!

Now that's looking great! Can't wait to see the forest with all of the ground cover!
-
The ORCS crew is not Soviet-era. They wear the VSR pattern uniform so that clearly says Russian Federation.
-
Now that's awesome! The grass, the trees, the bushes they all look brilliant! A full-sized island with vegetation like that, perfect.

MVD VV Vitiyaz. Vityaz is a special detachment inside VV. And VV (internal army) is a part of MVD. Picture is from 2002 in Moscow, the theatre hostage situation. Vityaz handled the situation. Though I would of chosen FSB Alfa for the job. Vityaz is specialized more in the 'behind the enemy lines' type of jobs.

Great pack, I love taking out those evil americans with my Saiga, the sounds could need some improvement, louder and more 'bang'! SV-98 sounds like someone shot the rifle 2km away even if it's without the silencer.

I've been watching this Caen 1944 thing evolve, and may I say : Brilliant! Absolutely stunning work Sengir, Fab. and everybody else involved in the project! The beatiful textures, the great animations combined with amazing models! Gah! Beatiful!

The camo pattern is most likely the M88 (1988 TTsKO by the fancy name). Used by the Ukranian army and the Russian naval infantry. Black RD-54 Rig with the paratrooper helmet (The units were inserted with choppers so they would need a helmet, and that helmet doesn't block your hearing, it is different from the tanker's model, it doesn't have comms. And you can also spot the VDV chest patch if you look closely, the blue patch.) And what do you mean by winter camo? A pull-over snow camouflage suit in all white? Heavy duty khaki two-piece afganka suits? Modern patterns in winter variation? Almost every Russian pattern has an winter version of it (I mean the jacket and pants have a lining and in general more warmer than the summer variation). Here's a photo of the M88 in summer variation if I'm not mistaken. (The autumn version has more red in it, identical to the one in MGS) http://img334.imageshack.us/my.php?image=250a8zc.jpg

Could you replace that chest harness with a Chicom chest-rig? VDV used the Chinese made chest-rig alot, along with the RD-54, Russian's also received issued chest rigs later on. Chicom http://www.ukasc.net/reviews/akrig/image018a.jpg Russian issue chest-rig http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/FW200/ChestRig1.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/FW200/ChestRig2.jpg Great looking troops nontheless, keep up the good work! (I recommend a book by David Isby, "Russia's war in Afghanistan", great color plates by Ron Volstad! )

It began with one Pasi, one RK62. And that expanded to almost the whole FDF arsenal. You guys have been doing a good job. I've seen you guys doing really A-quality stuff. You always brought up something special, that no other mod had. Yeah, every mod has to fancy ass textured tanks and vehicles, but I bet they don't have a axe or portable Jerry cans. You guys put up a great effort, and it shows. I wouldn't mind even if you guys stopped working all together. We have now a working package which includes many, many units to play with. But, if you are going to take up the challenge and face ArmA, I'll be cheering with you guys!

Same here, I'll download the .zip file this time. Hope it'll work out better. EDIT: Everything worked out well with the .zip file. Mod looks great!
