Agreed. I've been killed by ricocheting MG rounds on quite a few occasions. And watching a tank round bounce off the armour of another tank is a sight to behold.

It's meant for MP use only! Complaining about the AI in RO is a bit like complaining about the plot of a porn flick.

    i need your help!

I can decypher some cyrillic if I really try . Reyhard's explanation makes sense since part of the text on the bottom right hand picture is a warning against deployment of this equipment in bright light. *edit* the text on the bottom reads: Do not deploy in bright light, follow the rules of operation. The red text with numbers denotes which aperture size on the rotating disks should be used for what condition - I believe they read 1. Sunlight 2. Cloudy 3. Fog * 4. Nighttime * * Not as sure about 3 and 4 but it makes sense no? *edit again* And the text above the warning identifies it as TVNE-1PA, Driver's night vision device used on BMP-1 and 2, and some versions of T-64, T-72, T-80 http://www.ukrspetsexport.com/arm_tvn.html http://army-guide.com/eng....ae0ecd2

    Bi forum for life?

Got the first ding for a wiseass remark no different than others I've made in the five year's I've been here. Soon as I saw I had one, I decided I didn't want to look like a n00b troublemaker, so I paired it up. And no - I don't have delusions of grandeur causing me to aim to get banned, nor do I think I'm better than anyone because of my post count or my tenure - though I do consider myself to have been a constructive member of the OFP community. I'm just going to continue being the same forum member I was when I started, albeit less active - I just have a good feeling that doing that will earn me "points" .

    Bi forum for life?

Historically speaking there was, it was called the OT forum . And in my opinion it worked quite well for quite a long time before things got as authoritarian as they are. But, things change, some of us play under the new set of rules, some of us simply leave, and some of us look for creative ways to earn the next WL, slowly comitting suicide by moderator .

    Bi forum for life?

I still drop by on a nearly daily basis as a matter of habit I guess, but the forums are a ghost of their former self. Conversation's gotten stale - most of the interesting or humorous topics are locked and most people worth talking to have WL's or have been banned. This used to be a place where, between discussing the most effective way to use a LAW, we could (and did) discuss the proper manner in which to take a piss in the morning when afflicted by the dreaded morning wood, or warn against the dangers of shaving your ass hair. The forum started going downhill when the "Babes with Guns" thread was deleted, and absolutely plummeted with the advent of the paradox that is "Too OT for OT". Also, Arma just isn't the game OFP was. Comparing the two campaigns is like comparing 'Stalingrad' to 'Rambo'. Multiplayer can be fun, but I have more fun playing Red Orchestra. I guess I'll stick around until I'm finally banned for my firm beliefs on the Zombie Jesus

    300

The first time I saw this movie I wondered what the fuss was about. Honestly, it's "OK" only because of it's visuals. It's basically Rambo with spears and non-explosive arrows. Then Friday after work I went to a pub with some guys from work, and at some point goint to watch 300 on Imax was suggested. I enjoyed it much more that second time. So first, get a few pints in you - kill some braincells that way so that the lack of plot and nu-metal sound track don't do it while you're trying to enjoy the movie, then go to your nearest Imax, sit back, and enjoy gratuituous blood splatters and nipples as big as you on a 4 storey screen.

Why Does the USMC use the Ah-1Z?

I love irony Strela happens to mean "Arrow" in Russian. Stella is the italian word for "Star". Which do you think more likely as the name of a Soviet MANPAD?

    HAPPY EASTER!! :)

First off, I do apologize for the uproar I caused in the thread, and while looking at the original post through more sober eyes, I can appreciate that it can be offensive. If this had been simply mentioned, I would have said sorry, a few people might have thought less of my sensitivity, and that would be that. However, I find that a WL, especially when once upon a time mods gave out member titles such as Satan's Smegma and Royal Clitoris, is a wee bit over the top - along with the fact that I've been accused of flamebaiting when anyone who knows me on these forums should know that's not my style. Having said that, if anyone thinks that I give a Bunnie's brown egg about my WL, or wether I am allowed to continue posting, I'm sorry to disappoint you, this whole incident underlines the reason why these forums just aren't the place they used to be when I was attracted to them by both OFP and it's community. My last anonymous mod PM says I'm going from bad to worse. Nope, I think I've been pretty constant while I've been posting here the past 5 years. The variable is another thing altogether. That's all i have to say here, Happy Belated Easter

    HAPPY EASTER!! :)

Yeah, gave me my morning chuckle . Might aim to collect the full set. Any form of humor on these forums has been frowned upon for a long time now, and the only worthwhile thread has been photography. Anyhow I humbly apologize for offending anyone's beliefs in chocolate bunnies. Oh! Oh! May I have a PR as well?
