Any friendly fire there is more likely to be discovered quickly and less likely to take out several guys in one blow.<span id='postcolor'> Think about it, how easily do you think the Northern Alliance and Taliban/Al-Quaeda troops can tell each other appart? They're wearing pretty much the same stuff and using the same armament. But yes, you've got a point, especially when CAS aircraft are concerned, too often their speed makes it difficult for the crew to ascertain exactly what they're shooting at...for example I'm sure if it had been an A-10 instead of the Apache in the story I posted, there would have been 6 less Canadian snipers in Afghanistan

Yep well, that's war, friendly fire does happen, it's sad but just immagine how often the "bad guys" must be killing each other also.... I found This Story of a group of Canadian snipers that came within a meter of being blown to bits by an Apache's 30mm...these guys also reportedly have the highest number of confirmed kills of any regular army unit in the battle....way to go eh!

In fact the A10 doesn't even have a radar. It has been experimented with carring LANTRIN pods, but those are terrain following radar only, not targeting. Not sure about the SU25 and what it carries in it's nose. COLINMAN<span id='postcolor'> Forgive my ignorance on the Warthog, shows what happens when you actually take your high school history teacher seriously...but it does have this: "a low altitude safety and targeting enhancement system (LASTE) which provides constantly computing impact point freefall ordnance delivery" I'm fairly certain this would also help with gun targeting since that is one of it's important weapons. The Su-39 is actually the one that has a multimode radar (in a pod under the fuselage), but the Su-25 has a lazer rangefinder used to target unguided ordnance

I am selling windows xp pro

Well, personally I've never bought Windows...that dosen't mean it hasn't been forced down my throat every time I've bought a PC...and like I said I refuse to update and pay through my nose, thank you very much. If my Windows is obsolete before my PC is, I'll get the newest Linux kernel and there I go, gaming aside there's nothing Windows can do that Linux can't do as well if not better, except for crashing . Now as far as people copying Windows, do I give a shit? nope, if any software company deserves to be ripped off IMHO it's Microsoft, I was just saying that maybe it isn't a smart thing to be talking about in a forum where you can't even put up a link to the underdog's abandonware site

What music are you listening to?

AFAIK you can order their CD online Here Other than downloading and burning it that's the only way you can get it.

And your posting rights would get revoked by the mods, you loose I've learned to use Linux in college and I've got to say I'd choose it over Winblows any day if it wasn't for the fact that there are no games out there for it...As it stands now I refuse to upgrade my Windows unless I'm buying a new PC...otherwise I'll just switch over to a new version of Linux and use that as my main operating system, and switch to Windows whenever I feel like playing OFP.

The second one, IMHO, only had one good song "Awake", the rest were 'just ok' but can't compare to the first CD. Never seen a band get a crowd as worked up as they did during their performace of "Whatever" at Woodstock...if you don't know what I'm talking about you should search for that MP3...and don't even mention Limp Bizkit, there's a difference between getting the crowd worked up and keeping it fun for everyone and inciting a goddamn riot.

I personally think the Havoc looks better . It's newer, has more state of the art equipment, and the original Ka-50 model was the first operational gunship to require only one crewmember and to field an ejection seat Ka-50:

    Eurocopter tiger in il?

Don't you dare turn this into another Apache vs. Hind flame thread. They're both good in their own way. Apache turns better, Hind takes more damage and can carry troops, Apache's missiles are more powerful and accurate, while in the Hind the crew has NO fear of small arms...so in short, they're both damn good but in different ways. There happy? Personally I also want more choppers, but what I want more than anything else is an improvement in the simulation of all the existing AC.

    Eurocopter tiger in il?

K'know, I think you may just have stumbled on to something. I never heard any mention of a Eurocopter in IL, and God knows I've been following it  . At first I thought maybe I was looking at a reskinned AH1 but then I went into OFP and took a screenshot, and cropped the same section as it shows in the IL splash. Take a look  and compare for yourself: You can see some very obvious differences... YAY more toys!!

    Multiplayer ques.

Yep, everyone in a mp game needs to have the same version (unless the server is running a higher server beta version) But the short answer to your question is yes, you need 1.46 'cause that's what everyone else is using

Planes! do we really need them that much?

I like the planes but they should be tweaked to be more realistic. first off...the firing rates on the cannon are too slow. Second, both the A-10 and Su-25 can slave their guns to their targetting radar when attacking ground targets (i.e, you canactually target ground targets with the gun). Third and probably most important as far as the gun goes, it is mounted WAY too high on both these planes, making efficient strafing runs difficult at best. Other things can be improved of course, for example both these planes always carry 2 IR AA missiles for self defence Aim-9P/L/M for the A-10 and R-60/R-73 for the Su-25. The joystick control already has been improved (Thanks BIS!!, but it still could use a lot of work, especially rudder...I'd like to be able to use the rudder in flight thanks, not just when taking off .
