Well, for me this is kind of interesting because I'm half Russian, half Cuban, and I'm a Canadian citizen. I'm very proud of all three, and if you asked me to choose one over the other I wouldn't be able to. Of course, if you asked me which country I'd prefer to live in at the moment I'd say Canada. Russia is corrup to the bone, and Fidel Castration is still trying to make a very flawed regime work. I still hold a Cuban citizenship (I have dual Cuban-Canadian citizenship, mostly for ease of travel "back home"). Way back when I used to hold dual Cuban-Soviet citizenship....but well...the number of people holding Soviet citizenship has gone down a bit since '93....

BTW is it just me or is anyone else surprized to hell at this becoming a Michael Jackson vs. Celine Dion thread?!?

I personally think that this rule is B.S. dead is dead<span id='postcolor'> I'm pretty sure now that that is just a rumor. Read this story about a group of Canadian snipers that took part in Operation Anaconda. They were involved in a firefight with the Taliban, and the weapons they used were .50 cal sniper rifles. Canada is about the last country that would knowingly even come close to violating the Geneva convention. Why? Because frankly the political leadership has no balls. I mean there was a big stink over here when it was learned that our Joint Task Force 2 took prisioners in Afghanistan!! *rolls eyes* WTF is that about, if you're in a war and you come across an enemy, you defeat them, and you take survivors prisioner, you don't just let them go!! There was also a fiasco about an alleged government coverup on the matter. Jeez....

Speaking of Russian executions, anyone seen the movie "Citizen-X"? It's based on the true story of a Soviet-era serial child rapist/killer. At the end of the movie he gets executed like that, IMHO the bastard deserved a lot worse. But now I know that if I'm in a Russian prision and the jail guard escorts me to a little room with tile floors and walls and no windows....and a drain in the middle of the floor...and asks me to "turn around please", I'm in some deep shit.

lol  Ok, this is college, but during my first semester electronics class I actually got someone to lick a charged capacitor . (Yah I know it's bastardly but it wasn't a very big/powerful one). My scariest moment here so far was probably in that same class when I thought I had fried a very expensive-looking oscilloscope (the safety breaker went off when I put too much juice through the circuit I was probing). The funniest moment was when we were writting code for a Motorola (Apple) processor, and I sent a friend of mine some of my code through Hotmail. He copies and pastes my e-mail, runs it, and the debugger spits out an error with the line "Copyright 2002, Microsoft Corporation..." (Remember, this was an Apple processor!! .After a bit of confusion and much laughter, we realized he had also copied and pasted  the Hotmail footer into his code .

Pretty recently ive been repeatedly getting ICQ messages from people who aren't on my list (yes I know I can block messages from people who aren't in my list, but I turned off that option since a cute girl I used to know in HS who isn't very computer literate has been trying to contact me on ICQ )...anyway these messages have a link to one of those "You are being watched while you are online, buy this software to protect your privacy!" sites, and the message is always the same: "<ICQ nic>, you are in trouble! It's a proven fact!!!!" a couple of nights ago I got it again and I finally got fed up. I replied "<his ICQ nic>, you are a Fucker! It's a proven fact!!!" His reply was something to the effect of "Sorry, nm, didn't think you'd be so dissapointed"....anyways I haven't gotten that message again since....

There's just one problem with that, and it's a biggie. The game engine just dosen't support "under water". i.e. There's no such thing as far as OFP is concerned

The LAW is no longer used by U.S. forces. We have a disposable rocket launcher called the AT-4 or "Dragon". I have never seen anything in the U.S. arsenal called a Carl Gustav.<span id='postcolor'> This was cleared up on another thread way back...if I recall correctly the Carl Gustav is a Swedish/Finnish? (excuse my ignorance) weapon. (Remember, the western forces are supposed to be NATO, not just US), and the fact is, the Russians also have an antitank weapon called AT-4

Ejection seats are modeled, just not visually (i.e. They do the same work, but you just don't see e'm). The fact is, in planes like the Su-25 and A-10, normal ejection would be impossible at their normal cruising speed because of the force of the wind. You just wouldn't be able to pull yourself out of the cockpit.

Would you like some cheese with your whine? I can't believe people keep complaining about these things, I've hardly ever seen a game that gets updated as often as OFP does. Look how far it's come since v 1.00
