I'm not sure how old the information you're basing that on is, but I believe things have improved somewhat since Putin came into power. Of course things are still far from peachy, but he has cut down the size of the military dramatically, and got rid of the draft, so now its a smaller, more professional force than it was. As for low morale and death-trap submarines, the same could be said about some NATO countries, for example Canada.

I thought it was a perfect choice of words as today marked the anniversary of the USSR's V-day over Germany. You're right about the atrocities then, but the Nazi's weren't boy scouts either. Yep the F-86 had an amazing kill to loss ratio in Korea, (10:1) but the consensus was that that was due to the poor training of the Chinese and North Korean pilots that mostly flew the MiG-15. The Soviet Union sent some pilots over in secret, and apparently the highest scoring aces of the war were Russian. *edit: I'm on crack, my kill ratio was off...again!!!*

Great work with the MiG-27 model Eviscerator, I'm really looking forward to some new Russian AC. A suggestion for when you can get it into Oxygen: Make one with Soviet markings and one with Russian Federation markings, that way they can be used for missions that take place in the past or in the present/future.

Great Job on the models Evis, they look really promising. My suggestion for an Eastern attack plane would would be the MiG-27. Just like the Su-25, it CAN go supersonic, mostly flies slow. Other than that, there is a ground attack version of the MiG-21,. The Chinese A-5 attack plane which was developed from the MiG-19, and even a MiG-15/17 would do, they could carry rocket pods or a few bombs, and their 40mm/37mm gun would hurt
