Yep, like I feared we've gone offtopic and now it's a communism vs capitalism thing. I still can't understand the thickheadedness of coments like these: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Honestly, we should have armed the Germans after we beat them (and Japan) and went after Russia, we had the bomb and they didn't.<span id='postcolor'> </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">If the end is better than the means, why not? You are improving Hasharajima, as soon as I saw you replied to this thread I was sure your post would mention your future marriage to that Cobra. In fact I would have been ready to wager my week's paycheque on it . Good thing I didn't

    How to get a girlfriend?

Whatever you do, try to avoid anyone with a lot of emotional baggage. Also, take it slow at first. If you see the relationshop go light-speed after the first date, it's going to be fleeting, and if you get to like the girl too much too fast you'll be crushed if she changes her mind about you. Last year I fell in love (yep, the big L, no doubt about it) with this girl over the course of a week. We had a hell of a lot in common. She was Israeli-Russian, I'm Cuban-Russian. We both grew up without a father, we've both been dragged around the world like a piece of luggage, and she hated pop music as much as I do. Then she started avoiding me, so I called her up and asked her straight out is we had a problem, and she said "of course not, ive just been busy". The very next day, she calls me and gives me the "it's not you, it's me" line, and says she's just not ready, asks if we can be friends, and as messed up as it all was I said yes. I never heard from that crazy chick again. which brings me to my last piece of advice, NEVER try to understand them, you might as well try to explain the universe.

Well, if that's so, some mod has seriously misplaced their sense of humor and/or has a serious bug infestation of their rectum. If there was any confusion about the matter, I have nothing against Catholics, it was a joke, I'm equally prejudiced against all organized religion, I personally feel all organized religion is a sham, and I'm sorry if this offends anyone here, but I'm sure a lot of you who know me will agree that I respect people's right to religion a lot more than any Jehova's Witness has respected my right to be an atheist . Anyways there's my rant, maybe all it was is a fluke but I thought it was kind of suspicious that I couldnt post from that IP anymore a little while after that post. Strange food

About 3 years ago a Russian-Jewish friend of mine made my jaw drop when he ordered a bacon cheeseburger. Then again he was kind of exentric when it came to his religion, he just followed the bits & pieces he liked. A couple of days ago a frend of mine tried to pass me off as a Jew to "spare you from eating my mom's porkchops". Didn't work too well because for some reason I found the whole sham incredibly funny

It's another one of my favourites but it looks like the Russian government has started favouring the Su-27 family over that of the MiG-29. I'm starting to think it will never be more than a prototype. As for using the F-5 in Top Gun, I can understand that completely, the Cold War was still on...and to be fair the US used them as agressors simulating MiGs, but they at least should have made an attempt to make them look like MiGs, with Soviet-style camouflage and markings instead of all black...a bit too much like the "men with black hats" in Westerns . And what the hell was it with having a circle around the red star?? And given it an actual existing designation.

As for what the commentator is saying, basically a play by play of all the maneuvers, I had a hard time understanding everything he said myself, since the audio quality is kind of shitty, and I have a hard time understanding Russians if they speak too fast anyway. *edit* Umm...ain't no such thing as a MiG-30....I hate movies/fgames that do that.....like the MiG-28 in Top Gun *2nd edit* And anyways, the Russian's have realized that most customers are more than happy with the maneuverability of the Su-35 and Su-30, which have no thrust vectoring at all, so instead they have begun focusing on "pilot friendliness" factors such as better on-board processing/target prioritization, "cristal cockpits", ect. Either way, with the newest versions of the Archer, and the future AiM-9X when it comes out, the likelyhood of a gun knife fight is very unlikely.

Russian pilots actually fly with the trigger depressed when using this missile in a dogfight, so all they need to do is let go of the trigger button when they get a lock on an enemy plane.
