Gotta say, while the screenshots do look a bit strange, the trailer looks pretty good.

Will try it out after finals mid-december. Definitely don't need a distraction like that now...but if the gameplay's like the original X-com...oh yeah baby *edit* There's also a link to a trailer pretty much hidden in the site. Downloading, will watch tomorrow.

Nah... Pogatchev Cobra seems to be exclusive to Flankers, I've never seen another jet fighter carrying it out. It is the maneuver he's talking about, and in fact, it was first performed by a MiG-29, but the Su-27 made it famous since it does it with greater ease from level flight (the MiG requires a bit of AoA before starting the maneuver)

Meh, I was drunk at the time It's why I added the "maybe I'm talking out of my ass" disclaimer but I'd say for drunken deduction, that wasn't too bad

From the word "bella" in the picture link, and what appears to be "Polizeria" written on her vest, I deduce she's from Europe allright, but not Eastern Europe - Italy. So, see what SMG's Italy uses. *edit* then again I could be talking out of my ass . But to be honest, I don't see much similarity to the Kalashnikov family.

How's this for combat photography? One scary looking mofo on the battlefield: "Please keep your seats in the upright position and your tray tables stowed until the captain turns off the 'fasten seatbelts' signs...and please wait until you disembark before you play with your explosives" . Funniest part is, you can tell from the first screenie that I had a feeling.... Great games guys. I'll try and make it this sunday.

Hmm, well, I'm getting pretty disillusioned with the student life in Canada....How's the winter in Sweeden?

Going by that video, the new meaning of "hearts and minds" seems to be "one bullet in the chest, and one in the head to make sure"

Not refuting that shooting down three aircraft in a day is a great accomplishment... just pointing out that none of them were the highest scoring Vietnamese ace, who was in fact Nguyen Van Coc, 9 kills, 7 confirmed. The Vietnamese propaganda machine had nothing to do with Col. Tomb/Toon, he was more of a urban legend among U.S. pilots. We would have surely heard more about him if he was real, and to the Vietnamese a dead hero was just as good as a live one - in fact better, they would have had a martyr, so no sense in them covering up his death. And one last wildly offtopic remark - I think his tactic as immortalized in Top Gun may be the greatest disservice done to budding flight sim pilots. I know I tried it when I was just starting out in multiplayer dogfights, and promptly got a burning fuselage full of holes for my troubles. Later, when I knew better, I still saw new pilots trying it out on me, and they went down pretty quick. Even if the initial move works, it leaves you at a serious energy disadvantage, so you'd better hope he flies right into your gun sight A la Top Gun, else you can accelerate twice as fast as him *edit* dang, can't spell toaday

Yes, the original Mr. "I'll hit the brakes and he'll fly right by", who is supposed to have shot down the legendary Col. Tomb - who, according to the North Vietnamese Air Force, never existed.

No doubt, for the first time in my life, I have power equivalent to calling a radio station and saying "That was crap! don't ever play it again" or "I loved it, play more like it" and being listened to

Hey dude, suit yourself, but I'm in

I honestly think this is the best website I have ever found, been on it for hours now. http://www.pandora.com/ Type in an artist or song name, and it'll make a streaming radio station based on that artist or song. The best part is, it'll also add artists/songs that are musically similar to the one you selected. Tovarish is in Black Sabbath/April Wine/Anthrax/old school Aerosmith/too-many-more-to-name heaven right now

America's Army has tided me over many times when I got frustrated with waiting for a decent OFP server to open up. But that problem should be solved once that other AA comes out *edit* but ebns72 hit it right on the nail. AA is no OFP by any means, but I think it's pretty good, and you can't argue with the price. Besides, there is NO map in AA that is as bad as some maps for OFP which I see many servers hosting again and again. Corridor? No Fear? WTF is all THAT about?!? And I still have a huge beef with the G36 and it's one-shot killing power, especially when it's always the default weapon on maps like the ones I mentioned above. Ok, gonna stop my ranting now
