I mean, the Germans practically renamed every organization to "bundes"-something or other after the end of the war.  Why didn't they rename the einsatzgruppen after it became universally known for its distinct mission of hunting and murdering Jews?

    Balschoiw?<span id='postcolor'>

einsatzgruppen is very neutral and simply means task force, no more and no less. I have never heard the term of einsatzgruppen specifically for murdering jews. hitler's bunch always used sadistic, cynical names for their purposes, e.g. "endlösung" (final solution)

sorry for using that word, but I think you get the idea.

  2. "_x switchmove ""FXStandSur""" foreach units group mygroup should do the trick, but it seems you have to use it in either a waypoint or a trigger. (watch the double ")

Be careful with this command, because these units will remain forever in this position, if you want them to die or sth you will have to do another switchmove, e.g. "FXSTAngel"

The best thing to do is to use it in a script as someone already posted.

  4. let your friends play some of the good single missions

but don´t forget to have satchels wonderful sound pack installed...

after that go to mission editor and show them how to ride a tank or fly a chopper

    imo that should do

I would do it like this, but unfortunately I lost all my old friends the day ofp came out  wink.gif

if you want to save your files in editor with filename extensions other that .txt you have to put the filename into "" in the save dialog

  12. 1. what is the difference between playmove and switchmove ?

    2. if I tell a unit to "FXStandSur" (Surrender) with switchmove, the units stays on his position no matter what I do next.

I first tried to get it on a truck with assignascargo and ordergetin, but it just stands there sad.gif

even if I shoot at this poor bastard, he doesn't move.

Is this a bug or a feature ?

btw, the playmove commands doesn't work with "FXStandSur".

I tried also "FXStandSurDiv" and so on.

    3. how can I tell a unit to board a truck when in "surrender move" ?

Maybe I have to switch it back, but to what anim ?

any hints appreciated, thanks in advance

  13. I emailed creative support about this problem, they have a fix for it. smile.gif

to successfullly run through hw-test you have to do the following:

    - go to control panel->Sounds/multimedia->Audio  and set your hardware acceleration to second lowest! setting.

    - now perform your hardware-check on the voice-tab.

    (worked for me biggrin.gif)

they gave the advice to make sure the latest chipset-driver are properly installed, although it worked for me with standard ms xp southbridge drivers (I installed amd northbridge drivers after os installation as they were on the mainboard cd)
