  1. I have followed the instruction provided in the readme to the teeth, but I get the following error when launching OPF (Resistance v.1.90): "No entry `config.bin/CfgWeapons.SEB_MP5´." and an OK dialogbox. The campaign starts ok, but in at the beginning of almost every mission and cut scene I get "No entry `.modelSpecial´." and an OK box again. So far the campaign plays fine after clicking OK, except the cut scenes are skipped - which is a shame as the create the atmosphere. I have tried to remove every addon untill the errors disappears, and have found the it is the TJP_Pavehawk_snow addon that is responsible. Is there a workaround to this problem? Thanks!
  2. Yes, all addons are installed as per your readme file. All addons are installed in the folder with "s". I did notice that some addons specified "addon" without "s", but suspected that were inaccuracies.

  4. Hi Avon Lady I am at work right now so I can't check the timestamp, but I downloaded it from the link at your site. All my addons are in the BIS created folder "...\Operation Flashpoint\ADDONS". Thanks

    Geezz. No good points?

    Marek/ondrej voice-act in ofp:r ?

Is it possible to continue the campaign if you choose to betray your buddy?

    Who cares about doors

Imagine how cool it would be if we could have some good old fashioned trench warfare.
  10. Is Resistance an addon to OPF 1.46 (whatever version we might have at the time). Or is it a seperate new game (OPF2)?
  11. When will Resistance realistically be out? Currently I have all options maxed out on my 1.8ghz+GF3. Will that be possible with Resistance too. Or do I need a better PC (again)
  12. Thanks for the reply. I can't wait till it hit the stores!
  13. Please no "this and that sux". I would like an objective comparision of OPF to these games: Delta Force Land Warrior Spec Ops Rainbow Six / Rouge Spear Ghost Recon (is that a sequel to R6 and RS?) Things that I am interested in are: 1) Terrain (open landscape or "walls" of trees/objects to restrict the players movement) 2) Graphics quality (general and special effects such as smoke) 3) Realism in terms of "hits-to-kill" (do I survive 100 shots?) 4) AI - including control of team 5) Ingame interface (access to different weapons, team command etc.) 6) Anything else that might be interesting to mention (such as I saw someone mention that the houses are better in DF).

Mission poll (look at this one)

Funny enough, no one wants to command their own troops So much for leadership (I of course answered spec ops, since I am a real maverick) (Darn lousy spelling - I always see a spelling mistake just as I have hit the submit button)

Whats the difference between ak47 and ak74

After some reading on various websites I think your discussion emerges from confusion of what you are acutally dicussing. Everyday uses for suppressed weapons: Suppressors can be broadly divided into two groups –those that try to remove the supersonic crack and those that don't. The former systems try to reduce the round velocity, either by "friction wipes" or by bleeding off some of the propelling gas. The second form of suppressor only deal with the muzzle blast and need to be used with sub-sonic ammo if supersonic crack is to be avoided. The article mentions that there are several advantages using a muzzle blast suppressor with supersonic ammo: same range and terminal effects as an unsuppressed weapon hides any muzzle flash recoil reducing effect For some weapons the use of a suppressor improves accuracy So in short you will have advantages using a muzzle suppressor with supersonic ammo, but the weapon will not be fully silenced. If you want a fully silenced weapon using a muzzle suppressor, you have to use subsonic ammo and then you accuracy, range and penetration will suffer.

The gas expands inside the suppressor and the pressure of the gas falls significantly.<span id='postcolor'> If it has a larger volume and the pressure falls inside the suppressor, wouldn't the muzzle velocity be lower? I mean if you have a bottle of champaigne that has gone flat, the cork won't fly as long as with a bottle with lots of sparkle. Anyway we are drifting off-topic. Perhaps the original question should be an item for The Avon Lady's FAQ.

So a suppressor doesn't slow the bullet down? Now I am confused. Then how comes an unsuppressed weapon has a longer range and more penetration power than a suppressed?

    New campaigns

Added urls and MrCrispPacket's and FireFox's upcoming campaigns to the first post Anyone know of more finished campaigns? Perhaps some that takes advantage of all the new goodies such as the new weapons or the unofficial winter islands addons?
  24. My OPF stutters with W-buffer enabled. My specs are P4 1.8ghz, 512mb, SBLive! 1024 and GeForce3 Ti200. I use nVidia detonator 23.11 and creative's XP drivers for the soundcard. Why do I have the stutter with w-buffer enabled? And does it matter that I turn it off? What does it do?

    What's new

I've been away from OPF for while. What's new? I can see that there is a new patch in the melting pot. I thought the last one was the final? What's going to be updated in this one? What about new user addons (islands, campaigns etc.)?
