We are criticizing a incomplete system; Sway is delayed but is confirmed. What about weapon rest? You could avoid some unnecessary flak and get early feedback with one simple answer....

Air to Air missiles, and why they need to change
Smurf replied to the_demongod's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Everything that puts some "work" on fighting gameplay without going to far, is a nice addition IMO. I like it. -
Yes it is a PC game. But it's one called ARMA ;) And really - mods, enablefatigue, tweaks on DevBranch, ((much probably weapon resting coming (also mods))) - what is the hurry? Hold on, take a breath, ADAPT. And welcome to Arma.

Community Map/Mod Packs - A community release?
Smurf replied to Grace's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Even when playing online? Doubt so. -
The point is: Arma is whatever you (and the people on the server...) want it to be. EDIT: Also, this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-uqHyp1m6g

Upcoming tactical shooter from Blackfoot Studios: Ground Branch
Smurf replied to Tactical Jerky's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
An ambitious SP campaign with multiplayer as a bonus? Hmm.... Anyway, I'm buying it if it ever comes out. -
Simple argument in favor of a fatigue bar (or expand the stance indicator): Since.. http://dev.arma3.com/post/oprep-weapon-sway-fatigue + adjusted stances + combat pace (or many speeds) + custom gear + terrain elevation + resting are all dynamic factors, you should have a greater notion of how fast you are getting tired. And while at it, the "Stance Indicator" could use a little love aswell to represent the speeds (walk, jog, combat, sprint). Sometimes with toggleables things get a little messy.

Thats gentleman is Shock and Awe. Brazil have a team of kids only (check avg age, they have at least 2 or 3 more WC) and with no good coaching or team leading, that happens. I didn't even thought they could get this far!

HDR and co. are again a problem. In Alpha\Beta it was somewhat better but some point down the line the simple "contrast" between the ground and clouds created an effect similar to the awfulness that A2 is in this criteria; ground to dark, glowing clouds and exagerated blooms (CTRL+F, HDR). Oh yeah, these blooms.... Optics also were a problem all along (and IIRC, at some point they fixed the holos; or it was a mod?) with doubled chevrons (see below), overglowing sights and overall "blurryness". The Depth of Field, while I don't understand the technical aspects of it I can tell it is wrong. It could be used for story\immersion\game mechanic AND to mask some of the game's problems like long range textures (STALKER, despite the short distances) or LOD changing. Simpliest example to ilustrate here are ironsights (and optical ones ^): Thermals? Don't start on that. http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=2899 On game tech, this would be my vote just behind Sound. Get your sh...... aders together! With all these engine changes, now might be the time to change it. Or I am beign too optimistic :( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?74238-HDR-and-Bloom-are-completely-out-of-control!/page4

Just to bring this to this page: And a quick look at the past (and mine prediction\wish), that's something like what are you aiming for? http://i.imgbox.com/aaeYsfHd.jpg (139 kB)

RIP and respect but, people died on a war\hate ridden territory? OMG, how could that happen?
-
That's enough for now :) Man I really need to put my $h!t together and buy a decent PC to play this but yesterday I just blew up my power supply. Great. Damn Arma vice.

Since we're at weapon handling, the recoil will also be tweaked to be more "3D"?

Arma 3 is far better than A2 in everything except on MP performance (for now...) and mod (also for now). Yes, ACE, at least for me, do make a great difference in gameplay so that might be it. But if you like SP, there is a shitload of content on A2+OA+DLCs.

Anyone mind to make a quick vid of this? Here's a kitty:

Imagine What Next Gen In Arma Would Look Like
Smurf replied to CaptainAzimuth's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
How hard it would be to tie MFD controls to arrows or the numpad? I mean, with the recent upgrades in the aircraft HUDs, screens, instruments and the highly detailed interiors (on the vehicles that have it................. (...) ........) it can not only solve a lot of usability problems (weapon selection, FCS, M-TADS/PNVS) but add to the realism and the whole experience of playing the game. It only makes sense and can't be THAT hard. Whats the next vehicular DLC? -
Baby steps.

One of those things that should be default, out of the box. There is difference between a slow death (center of mass, bleeding) and a headshot?
-
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease! That "Gear" button from the Beta (Alpha?) may have a comeback! Hey, time to update that sig. PhysX is doing some wonders already!
-
Don't stay on the open like a moron to do that. No way to abort it.

How I'd imagine a next-gen ArmA with fancy everything? Oh you gonna love it :D
