    ArmA2 - The Xbox 360 thread

No. I'm not saying that there won't be an Xbox 360 version. I hope there will be one. But those interviews in which the Xbox 360 version was confirmed were a long time ago, and anything could happen.

    ArmA2 - The Xbox 360 thread

*Looks at World In Conflict and every game by Ubisoft* Sure, let's go with what you're saying. Because you're completely right. Anyways, an Xbox 360 version is still possible even though they took down the PC and Next-Gen Console(TBD) thing off of the site and 505 Games announced that it will be released June 19th exclusively for PC. Maybe, just maybe BIS felt that their site was getting clogged and 505 Games meant that the date was exclusive to PC, not the game.

    New ArmA II Pictures!

Please ask that question here instead of in the pictures thread. Edit: mr.g-c beat me to it.
  4. The official Steam Arma 2 page. Dwarden posted it. Here.
  5. Excellence! But that's for Europe. As you can see, the American release date still hasn't been announced yet. Release dates (according to publishers): Germany, Austria, Switzerland: May, 29th Czech Republic, Slovak Republic: June 17th France : TBA Poland : TBA Hungary: TBA Rest of Europe (505Games area): June 19th Rest of Europe (SeVeN M area): TBA North America: TBA Russia: TBA Australia: TBA Rest of World: TBA Oh well. If it's around the same time as the Europe release date, the demo should hold me over until the American release date. If not, then I'll just buy it online or from some place that mails to America.

    New ArmA II Pictures!

Foliage being affected by downwash happened in OFP: Elite, also. Anyways, these pictures look great!
  7. It looks... so amazing! This game's graphics are better than Crysis's in my opinion.

    ARMA II - UH-1Y Venom In-Game Sounds

Since Placebo is gone... HAILO, please do not double post. Instead, edit your post. And use Firefox.
  9. Some great press coverage would be a list of bugs that have been fixed so far from the preview build. Please.
  10. I thought it was just like that because the AI is trying to get an accurate shot and not waste ammo. EDIT: But I never actually noticed it until it was pointed out.
  11. What I wouldn't mind: An anti-piracy system that does a disc check the eighth(because I like the number eight) time you start up the game, then you could use the game as much as you wanted without the disc, except for when you uninstall the game then reinstall it again.
  12. Well, on the issue of piracy: Anti-piracy usually ends up attracting piracy. For example: Spore was the most pirated game of 2008 because of DRM. Anti-piracy also costs money. So let's go over the facts. 1. Piracy = less money. 2. Anti-piracy = less money. Sadly, developers lose either way. :(
  13. Excellent. Someone noticed. Now this brings the question: Will there no longer be just a magazine disappearing, but instead an actually animation in which the soldier takes out the magazine and replaces it with a new one? They already have the animations for it from the first Arma. Just not for the magazines.
  14. This is an old build of the game. It is work-in-progress. Do you not understand that? The previewers are also playing on the easiest settings, which makes the AI very slow to react. And have a good time fishing in Croatia, Placebo.
  15. Yapab, I see that you were just on the verge of double-posting. Just as a fore-warning, please use the edit button instead of double-posting. ;)
  16. Topic creator of that topic(Rocco) was banned. Excellent. But he's most likely going to make another account. Do you have a system to prevent that, or do you just have to keep a watchful eye? And you got what you payed for with that camera. It's amazing! On-topic: How does Arma II handle 1 GB of VRAM? How about 2 GB? I'm stuck on which card to get for Arma II. How much VRAM does Arma II utilize, and is 2 GB too much? Video cards: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102826 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161276 Edit: I love the edit button. Anyways, I forgot that SAPPHIRE uses its own drivers, and that they aren't as good as the official ones. So it's going to be the 4890 1 GB for me.
  17. Truthfully, I actually almost didn't get the game because of the demo. Since I have 6 Gb of RAM, there was that "messed up main menu" thing that I could never navigate through. But after a bit of searching, I saw that it was fixed in patch 1.14, so I did get the game.
  18. I don't mind SecuROM all too much. But, please; No CD key. I hate those. I can't stand always being paranoid about them, and thinking, "Oh, damn. Where's the CD key" when I have to reinstall a game. But in that "Talking to Pirates" article someone posted, it says that the reason some people pirate is because of the anti-piracy. And they don't have to deal with the anti-piracy on pirated versions. In reality, all anti-piracy is, is a problem for paying customers. And in some cases(like GTA IV), it can also make the performance suffer from all of the anti-piracy.
  19. Very nice camera, Placebo. How much did it cost? And what's it called? On-topic: We're getting a bit off-topic, but it doesn't matter since there's a chance of getting some new info/footage/pictures of Arma 2 from this. :D Edit: Just buy the game. You can find it for $10 easily. It's also on Steam, which is supposed to automatically patch up games to the latest version. If not, just go here. Read the changelogs, too. Especially for 1.14. And the 1.16 patch messed up the steering on bikes(or so I've heard), but Deadfast released a patch that fixes that. http://www.armaholic.com/list.php?c=official_patch Double Edit: So are you guys going to release a more updated version of the Arma demo anytime soon? A lot of people worried if the game will run well or not have tried out the demo, and were disappointed by it. Maybe if you released an updated version of the demo(The latest patch that doesn't break anything is 1.15, but 1.16 fixes the problems with ATI cards, so maybe you should wait until the next patch. Maybe.), you would get a few more sales on Arma. And as a result of that, you'll most likely get a few more sales on Arma II. Good plan, eh? :)
  20. I misplaced the next-to-useless manual for Crysis somehow. It took them around 5 weeks to simply email me a replacement CD key and an automated message. CD keys are just an another completely avoidable problem to deal with. I apologize for off-topic posting. But the majority of this topic is off-topic anyways. Anyways, on topic: Arma II will most likely be on Steam, since Arma was.

    Fast Roping

    Oops. :o
  22. But I would enjoy seeing some solid gameplay, without the skipping from one scene to the next thing that's been in interviews. And from BIS, there would be a guarantee of great video quality. Do you find a problem with watching beta footage?
  23. So that means no beta tester videos will be posted on the official Arma II website for the next "weekly information" thing. :(
  24. Back on topic... None of the previews so far have stated that getting your parachute shot will make it fail. In Arma, I believe it just made your parachute move around a little bit.
  25. I thought that the Source engine always had soft dynamic shadows.
