Doubt it's US; BIS has made too many western campaigns already, and no way they've created dozens of new maps, this is most likely some sort of clue for the storyline of an upcoming eastern-faction (hopefully new) campaign :0 maybe on an expanded Chernarus. My 2 cents. Thanks Unuldor :)

Co-ordinates P8,H8 on Chernarus anyone? My guess is a campaign where you play in an/some eastern faction  ---[edit]--- My bad, the co-ordinates on Chernarus work with numbers only no letters, but I still think I'm onto something :D
  8. This one definitely: Pvz58L8bCaU Nvm, Kenwort already posted it, ah well just posting it again for awesomeness :>

    Need headset recommendation.

Ah that's a shame, well hope you find something which does work and suits your needs :) and remember the more you look up reviews/different products, the less likely you'll be disappointed with your purchase, I remember splashing out over £50 for some 6-7 year old sennheisers (515s) and only realised they were released way back in 2004 after they arrived and had been opened and I could've gotten something more up-to-date and way better for the same price, but that's how life goes, you learn by trying different things (In my case pricey headphones :D) and from your mistakes!

Am i the only one sick of the royal wedding?

Well in the UK for most people it's just another excuse to drink

Favourite BI city in the series?

Truedat, love the vistas from being able to crank up the view distance massively on Sahrani :D

    Need headset recommendation.

Well what exactly d'you want, a gaming headset/multipurpose? would you be able to tear-off the mic from an old headset if it still works and tape it somewhere on your computer desk? At the moment I'm rocking some studio monitor headphones as I'm a bit of an audiophile who likes detail in their music, and they go hand in hand with gaming, they give me pretty good surround sound but you also gotta be weary of some headphones which just give the illusion of surround sound. For communication I just use an old mic from some old broken officey-type headphones 'sennheiser m@b 25', and it stands nicely between my keyboard and my mouse and good distance from my mouth :p
  13. Hahaha win! RR was released how many days ago? Also bear in mind that these are steam sales, probably cm's only source of pc customers.. nice move with the sale BIS :D

Favourite BI city in the series?

My favourite 3 were Corazol, Ortego, Dolores (In order from best to worst). Paraiso was nice but was too 'in-land' for my liking :P Simply flying/driving/boating past these three was satisfying enough to keep me entertained for a while! ---[Edit]--- Berezino was also quite nice but it took quite a while to get to Krasnostav airport via car because of the dirt-tracks although come to think of it, it's the same case in the cities from Sahrani. BIS just makes the most beautiful coastlines :D
  15. SASrecon

Why are you playing BIS games?

Because there's always something you haven't done in ofp/arma/2  possibilities are endless...
  16. I love it how in the flickr pics they name them 'pre alpha stage', when all that's gonna happen is the graphics will become worse when they realise they're too performance-intensive, even for a corridoor shooter :P Mark my words, I'll make a video of me eating my own hand if this doesn't happen...
  17. SASrecon

Can you tell apart the frame rates?

On the way down you can easily detect not a stutter, but a kind of fuzziness in the 30fps which is really toned down/smoothened in the 60fps, and after looking quite carefully, on the way up the square blob is much clearer. Really interesting little page there celery :)
  18. Why would you multiply? :p surely by that logic, two negative features would make a positive :D

    Unknown death.

Ah yea forgot about that, shame really :/ Maybe they'll make another exception seeing as some other games are adopting it. Plus it would really help promote Arma because more people would start making youtube videos because they wouldn't need such demanding specs (which they would need to record and play) when they're just recording

    Unknown death.

YES, immediade feedback like killcams are a definite no-no but I see no reason for not having a theatre mode (so you can watch and record gameplay afterwards, meaning you can keep in-game performance high by not needing to record etc.), would be such an epic addition imo!

    Tier 1-DLC

If BIS made a Special forces DLC it would likely result in another gung-ho catastrophe 'a la Red Harvest'. Shame there wasn't enough 'observing' and 'planning' of attacks needed, it was all done for you. It would be nice for a campaign to get right down to the nitty-gritty of Special forces operations; long hikes through enemy territory, very long missions (The first part of Red Harvest had some good ideas for example a night assault with an optional extension of lasering some enemy equipment), more tactical kit and modifications, better cqb support (e.g. more fluid movement animations, or a simple switch which turns your animations from 'combat' to 'safe' (combat mode featuring close-quarters actions like knifing, more fps-like animations (like when on high adrenaline levels everything is blocked out except the survival instinct) possibly movement blur, sprint feature but run out of breath more quickly etc. and safe mode more engineered towards cross-field hikes/jogs where the possibility of ambushes are low and one can cover large distances without running out of breath, and stealthy travel where the last thing you want to do is engage a large group of enemies), more interactive user-interface where one can customise the properties of say your fireteam members, maybe even pre-campaign have a tutorial which lets you familiarse yourself with a load of soldiers and have the opportunity to decide which of them suit your needs based on their skillsets (I know it sounds kinda daft, but the possibility to invest or decide which skills your teammates should develop and recruit them into your squad), full co-op support with saving etc included, etc. etc. etc. (Hope the colour-coding of the brackets helped :p and ofc these are just ideas, I'd welcome any constructive criticism but don't be hatin ;))

    Unknown death.

If you're doing something consistently wrong eventually you'll find out how to make things better (+1 for gameplay hours :D), maybe you'll never know what you were doing wrong but for example say you find a safe route around the map which always gets you somewhere alive, the beauty of this game is that you'll only ever improve by trying new things or learning tricks from others (e.g. reading some of Dsylecxi's guides) :)
  23. Meh it looks like America's army... but even laggier.
