    Yea the bridge doesn't even have water below it. So it looks like a small pond. If Chernarus doesn't have any maybe we can get one in an expansion..or even from the community.

    Well Ive heard VBS2 has cave systems so they already know how to do it. I dont think we will see cave systems..in arma 2 .....We can hope for it in Arma 3

    You know this is a very good Idea. Its possible..and shouldn't be hard to implement. I for one would love to have this. In Arma I had a custom face with Hawkins tattooed on my arm so People would know me. This is a nice touch...for when i wear sleeves.....

    Winter Units

    Ive noticed that there is every type of camo available other than Snow. Im trying to make a campaign using Watkins Mountains....yet i cant find any Winter units. Are there any out there?...Yes I been searching..Found one pilot winter uniform are there any others?

    Radio Command

    Well I was able to get around it. I created this addaction ["Special Move","name.sqs"]; On each Unit I then Created a SQS file name playMove "ActsPercMrunSlowWrflDf_FlipFlopPara"; This solved my problem but the question is still there. How can I make a script effect only those who activate it? Example: I have a script that allowed you to rape females in a prison camp(This was a trap) When the player raped the female,It would flash on the screen who did the raping and the local men would take up arms and attempt to kill who ever committed the crime.Not only that I had it known she had a std and the player would take damage The problem I had was that the Civilians would attack all the players and all players would get the "std damage" Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

    Radio Command

    Ok I have a radio command that lets a player do an animation player playMove "ActsPercMrunSlowWrflDf_FlipFlopParaHow The problem is that it makes all players do the animation. I would like just for person who did the radio command to do the Animation.Im sure the answer is simple i just cant get around it

    noobie mission editor question

    One of these tools is called cpbo. This tool is needed to extract pbo files. Because even mission files are pbo files, they have to get extracted and placed right in your files/ArmA/missions directory... For some reason Cpbo does not work in vista..atleast it doesnt for me...My other machine XP It works fine on

    Which faction doyou think is next?

    Well It was Russia.. Atleast we know what to expect next week. The Mystery of Napa. I think Napa is gonna be like the U.N. (North American Peacekeeping Alliance? I dont think they are gonna be a resistance movement like ive read because that would be Chernarussian Defence Forces.. If you notice it shares the same Symbol as the Citizens. Of course Napa has 3 stars. Which is an eastern Symbol. I might have the Alliance part right.....Well only time will tell....Unless Napa is a faction that sells Auto parts..
  11. Just an idea. I know for myself i learn much better seeing the scripts work 1st hand than just someone telling me how to do it. I was just thinking how it would be nice for someone to make a demo mission pack that will allow us to look at different scripts 1st hand. A few ppl make demo missions so u can see how there scripts work. 4 example ive seen the directions of the scud launcher but could never get it to work where if i had a demo mission i could figure it out. I think it would give us a better understanding how scripts work. But then maybe im the only idiot on this forum
  12. I put a list of the top 10 things i would like to see in Arma and Arma 2. whether it be in a mod or something added to Arma 2. I would like your opinions on the ones I have chosen and would like to know if anyone had any other ideas. 10: Gas Cans: Portable gas cans that can put a small amount of gas in vehicles.This Makes the game more realistic. Its aggravation that you have to bring an entire fuel truck to your vehicle that's out of gas. Even more so when there are lots of enemies in the area.You should be able to carry a gas can that's inconvenient (like taking up 4 slots) but at times necessary. 9: Female Civilian/Soldiers: Everyone is tired of living on an all male island. I might feel better rescuing a female hostage rather than a bunch of spineless males. 8: Children Civilians: This would make all of our towns come to life and anyone with morals will not want to just send random bombs or artillery into populated towns. This will bring to life a better concept of war as not just the enemy being the sole occupant in a town. 7: Livestock Models: Are all Sahranis vegetarians? Unless they eat seagulls. The Island of Sahranis has no meat market. Live Stock Models such as cows pigs deer and rabbits can be implemented. This can help the player feel more immersed in the island 6: Detachable Limbs: It would be nice to see well placed grenade take off the enemies arm. It doesn't have to be stellar i don't need to see the arm twitch but it would be nice to see the real effects of explosives. I just wouldn't want it to go overboard where detachments of limbs happened all the time. I think it would be better if it happened on rare occasion like when A GBU drops directly on an enemy patrol or if your grenade lands directly right beside enemy. 5: Random Actions: When Enemies are on patrol they tend just to walk forever as long as you cycle the way points. It would be nice to see a patrol take a break every now and then by sitting down for a few minutes or by stopping and talking with each other. Or one might even stray off his way point a little to take a piss or something. This would allow the AI to be more lifelike and not be so easily predictable. 4: Caves or Caverns: It would be nice to see Caves or Caverns in maps. I think this will help the community to have more options in mission making. 3: Rivers streams or even waterfalls: It would be nice to have waterways going through the maps that way capturing or destroying bridges actually has a purpose. Also that gives us another option of traveling by boat rather than by car. Waterfalls and streams would also enhance the maps to make it more life like. 2: Better Mod Compatibility: I think that when joining a server that requires mods you should have the option to temporarily download the mod from the server.It becomes a hassle to make missions that require mods because most people don't want to take the time to look for the mod then download and install. Then restart the game to play your mission. 1: Uniform change: I think in the beginning of a mission you should be able to change your uniform like you change your kit. This would be nice for many reasons. There are fans from many different county's and they all want to wear their country's uniform. I see a new uniform mod everyday it seems. So apparently people agree with me. It would also help control the mods better as there are about 80 different camouflage mods. This also can be used if you are on a more urban environment and you want the camo suited for your mission.

    Disabling Map

    How do you disable the little red circle on the map that always tells you where you are on the map. I dont want anything to show up on the map except my Markers. This is for Multi-player so dont tell me to put it in veteran mode.

One of my missions is Enemy of my Enemy is pretty lengthy(Phoenix Soldier Mission) and I have made the sequel but I want to have a password that u can only get through completing the original any idea how i can achieve this. for example the sequel involves getting in a blackhawk I want the blackhawk to lock untill they input the password that is givin to them at the end of Enemy of my Enemy. I have seen igor do something similar on his mission Black Sword (u have to get a code before you enter certain vehicles)but his Scripting abilities far exceed mine.

    Ok heres what im trying to get done I dont want the player to know where he is on the map because on the map there is a big red circle that tell you where you are. Id like to keep the map intact I just want the players to have to use the compass to navigate the mission. Please tell me what I have to do to make this happen. Captain the disable map function works but the ShowGps False doenst work

    No its not just Server side because normally when i play a mission on our server it has the red circle shawing where you are but there is one mission where it disables the map. I cant remember the name of the mission but he was able to disable the map without changing server settings.

    I am currently Making a Mission on the new Hdt Island (High Definition Tropical Isle) by Linker Split. It has a a tropical theme obviously. It is supposed to be at night while it is raining. The squads are supposed to start with no equipment.and are supposed to navigate by stars and lightning flashes I wont bore you with the details. My Problem is that i cant get it to rain and once i do get it to rain id like the thunder flashes to be more frequent. I have put the slider all the way on rain on the weather slider and the forecast slider in the Intel box. and i put this on my init setViewDistance 2800; 0 setFog 0; 0 setRain 1; 0 setOvercast 0; If i put 1 on my overcast everything turns grey Any help would be appreciated

    Yea i fixed it to where it has a half moon so you can see. Yea i dont want people to be completely in the dark because most people dont want things too complicated.

    I fixed lightning and rain my only issue is that when i start the mission the fog is really dense i cant see 1 inch in front of me but it goes away after about 3 minutes btw i deleted the init so thats no longer the issue
