There are two places that AI skill can be set. In the editor and in the game options. Is there a difference between the two? or are these seperate skill levels.

Nice job implementing the GRAA mod system. Looking forward to the release.

I managed to kill an enemy with a shovel during a mission where I had ran out of ammunition. The enemy was firing at other friendlies and I was able to sneak up and kill him with the shovel.
-
Yeah, it is fustrating. But that is how it is with all modern games, they need new hardware.

exactly

Looks good, Thunderbird. Looking forward to the release. With the changes, will the AI be "dumber" after the patch?

very interesting interview so far this week. I'm listening to the download version right now. The ESL part was nice. It was one of the first times I can remember that the person interviewed actually played ArmA regularly. So, they were able to dicuss some game aspects in greater detail then normal.

Taken during a mission. ArmA 1.09 Beta

oh, I thought you were saying to replace the T-55 with a T-54.
-
Why?

Nice list of fixes and improvements. I noticed another "bug", the ironsights of the mounted M240 MG on the Nato Humvee are not centered correctly.

what is this thread about? What difference does it make if the BMP-2 model is different in ArmA then in OPF, and what difference does it make if some minor details don't compare to some diagram drawing?
-
Try lowering the terrain detail to low or very low. This seems to have a huge affect on performance. Also take a look at this thread: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=68446

FFUR '85 on Drago Island Combat vehicles on Arabia Island -
Very interesting article. It's nice to see something positive being said about ArmA outside the usual community. But I do think that if you want to get the full OPF/ArmA experiance you have to join some kind of organized group.

very good news to hear. Looks very good so far.

The most realistic sound mod, would be where every shot hurts your ears, and you can feel it in your skull.

if it's not just your imagination, I would be really impressed.

FFUR '85 I took these during an actual mission. My squad ran into an enemy armored outpost. In this next picture, it is hard to believe but I am still alive, thanks to the wounding effects -
I am very impressed buy the AI improvements. They seem to be different from previous FFUR/SLX releases. I have been surprised a few times buy enemy flanking manuevers. But performance is still not good for me, even with a dual core processor and a 8800. It's playable but not very good. I get higher FPS in ArmA.

FFUR '85 Dragging Injured -
I respect your decisions completly. I too agree that it should not focus on looking pretty for photography. But I would perfer, and many would agree, that instead of having half a dozen unfinished looking countries, to instead have just a few very well done ones. Again, in the end it's up to the modders themeselves, It's obvious alot of work has been put into these units. my intention of posting the last picture was too show mostly the look of the cap and vest, not the adidas shoes. Â Good point, but look at the detail the RHS units, and other similar projects, acheived even in OPF.

I've noticed some issues. for USSR troops, you can only fire the RPK in semi-automatic. Also you cannot reload the RPK once the initial magazine is emptied. This may be unrelated to FFUR, I'll see if more people make similiar comments. But OFP seems to be much less stable while running this mod. I have had several crashes.
