My top fears, a good ka50 pilot (those things own hardcore if you can use them right) a decent shilka gunner (shilkas can take down abrams in a few hits), and really thats about it oh yeah and in single player I fear the terminator (aka PK gunner).

I havn't read all 20 pages of comments (who can blame me?). I've only played with the inf weapons so far. My opinions are that, the sounds are too low as has been stated before, shooting stuff nearby and hearing bullet impacts OVER my rifle doesn't float my boat. Also I'm not big on the ak sounds, maybe they would sound better simply by making them louder. I'm not big on the echoes either as I have stated before that different environments affect the echoing and I feel like the sound clips of some of the guns are too long and drawn out.

well, they can snipe you with hand grenades for one...they can fire their MG from across the map and kill you with one shot. They can also see you through foliage.

thats the problem with kids these days, absolutely NO patience. Seriously, you can't find something to do and wait the 16 hours?

terrorism sadly. Some people FREAK out when they find out somebody is making a map of their area for a game about killing people.

HEAT=High explosive Anti Tank I suppose you could use the HEAT rounds to knock out tracks in ArmA but I havn't played around with the tanks that much.

it won't allow you to delete the selection, and as per our squad we have the tag on the front. So right now we use [!] as an amusing place holder.

I got my logo working last week, it's pretty cool, my guys like it. The thing I don't like is the squad tag section, I'd rather not have the squadtag because we have it in front of our name and we don't need it twice.

I'd just like to point out again that the echos are what is turning me off to this mod. (the actual echo sound you hear when you fire, not the ambience noise from the video). Usually when you are firing a gun you won't notice any echo unless the surrounding environment traps the sound correctly. Even in city fights the shots don't normally echo like you hear from the clips. Echoing is caused by the soundwaves refracting off objects and returning to the ear. In the videos you are out in fields and when you fire you can hear an echo even though there is nothing that would realistically refract the soundwaves of your gun. It's something that just really bugs me and I know we need a great sound engine to be able to produce that sort of stuff, but untill then I prefer weapons with limited to no echo at all.

I'd just like to mention that I noticed that the white sedan in game has a license plate with arabic writing. If I were to guess, I'd say the Island is extremely neutral.

One of my concerns is with the echos. They seem perfectly fine, but within a city they are usually muffled. Does the echo sound exist to the same degree in a city as it does in the field with this mod?

I don't know about you guys, but the moment I resort to hacking a video game is the day I shoot myself.

I created a .tga file 128x128 and saved it to desktop, I then got the texview thing and tried to open the file (I couldn't see it in texview for some reason) so I tried saving it as .paa anyway and the program crashed. I'm using gimp 2.2 btw.

A did a little report on Krk, very beautifull island, I intend on visiting it some day.

Some guys in my 5.ss squad (cod2) play it when we get a few guys on. But we tend to lock our server (not dedicated). We usually play pretty late EST as well like 10 pm. I like evo too but it kills my fps after a while.

why do you need a gps? a compass and map works just as well.
