It's an LOD, part of the model. eh and which LOD is that? I know about lods. But still wondering where and how to set that. I mean, why is the normal smoke not ai-sight-blocking then. I'm abit confused right now

in Mr-Murrays Editing Guide there is a Arty Script. I think someone will put that online soon because it's really useable. maybe, if I have enough time I write the script and post it here then when I'm back home but no promisses. -

would be cool if a mod team would remake the campaign so that it's really kickass and stuff. -
you need fraps 2.0 or any other snapshot programm. in fraps you can bind a key to the screenshot function. or you can use the Print key, but then you have to alt + tab out of the game, open a photo programm and ctrl + v to insert the captured frame. so I recommend using fraps. Evers

the feeling of the 3d sights is better I think than the old 2d sights. on sniperrifles the old 2d sights is ok, but for an acog sight, I wish there would be "portals" available. like in HLË›. I mean, that if you look through the acog that part is zoomed in and the stuff around is is still standart and not zoomed in. hope you understand, my english isn't that perfect to describe it very well -

for me: AI doing supressive fire onto a DSHK, Gunner already dead, stryker stoped behind that DSHK and was in the shooting line of the Soldier and the DSHK. The Soldier fired all his mags onto the DSHK and the Stryker Crew disembarked for unknown reason... I just thought: DOH!

my system: 2400+ AMD 1GB DDR RAM Sapphire X800 GTO nForce 2 Mainboard Settings: 750m Viewdistance Shadows, AA, AF -> OFF Post Processing -> LOW Terrain, Texture, Object, Shading -> Normal Blood -> High 1024x768 32bit It's not the yellow of the egg but it runs ok... could be better thogh. As soon as there are big battles, or much scripts running, like in the begining of the campaign it's unplayable. I just do sightseeing on Sahrani an do Battles on Ramahdi. Gotta play around more with the settings. -

had a very strange situation yesterday while playing on ramahdi. I made that little town into a fortress with DSHKs, a BMP, Soldiers, RPG Soldiers, AA Soldiers and Machingunners. US Soldiers had to seize the town, there we're special forces squads, Strykers, Humvees and for air support 2 Blackhawks. ok let's roll: I started as the driver of the humvee, I approached the city from the north street from water, the other units from east, south and west. My leader who was the TOW Gunner of my Humvee, spoted the BMP and took it out. Then the humvee got hit by mg bullets, my leader and I jumped out of it and ran for cover. The 2nd Humvee was hit by an RPG and both Personal Died. Then a Blackhawk was shot down and went down like in the Movie Blackhawkdown (Awesome to see but poor Soldiers in it). Some AIs from the Blackhawk survieved the crash. The blackhawk was northeast down of the town. Then a Stryker drove directly on the crossroad stopped. I made my self around the town to the stryker and suddenly the stryker was shot at... but not from an AK, it was one of the Crew Members from the downed Blackhawk shooting 2 magazines at the stryker... I looked and saw that between the stryker and him there was a DSHK. So he shot at it and I think he wanted to destroy it but the DSHK Gunner was already the so the Stryker was hit. and another thing I noticed: the this setunitpos "up"; command doesn't work any more... the units still went prone when enemys are incoming. I think ECP is better and more real looking in effects. those huge explosions and stuff in FlashFX look too much like hollywood for me -
I think my SWAT Units fit quite ok to OFP, and such things as Laserpointers and Stuff aren't needed because they simply do not work. but let me say that I will think I'm going to make SWAT Units for ArmA once the modding tools are out. and I will also make some PMCs. Evers

Cameron I agree with you but then the Russian Forces should be on Resistance side, because I think it kinda sucks to have them as your enemy when you are playing on West Side. some nice insurgents like the Tonal Redux stuff would be kick ass...I think that would fit much more to sahrani. Evers

yey, nice to hear first MARPAT Soldiers are done, can't wait to test 'em and see how MARPAT works in ArmA hope they are ready to download at around 5pm, or atleast when I'm back home from work

ok(sry my question was abit dumb ), but the thing I wanted to know how he changed the texture paths. because I thought there are no tools out with allow that to do...
