Yea very interesting but... I wonder what is in the rest of the document other than the standard Signature pages. The reason I say this is the page numbering is 1/60 to 15/60. What happened to the other 45 Pages?

Anybody know what the maximum flying altitude is in Armed Assault (version 1.02) should be if any? Also, the maximum flight speed of the Harrier? Thanks
-
Ok, here is my answer to my question: In the stock Harrier: I reached an altitude of over "6707", (I think it might of went more if I didn't stop it) and A whopping speed of "676" (it was up to 678 before I did the "Print screen" shot) Now I have a photo to prove it (If i can figure out how to reduce it from it's 3.5 meg to 100 K) This was done with No cheating, No Tricks. Being Armed Assault is fairly new I feel like a "Flying Pioneer". Went where no man has gone before!!!! Â

A note on your power supply; It seems that this is one part of the computer everybody seems to forget. It is very important to investigate your power supply requirements. All the the components will put a demand on your power supply and cause wierd things to happen should it not be sufficent. Therefore, I suggest you go bigger than 500 Watts. All the hardware that you are thinking about using will have a demand somewhere in it's documentation, this will be in watts (look for max watts if available) total it all up and there is your minimum number. Go to at least the next largest available power supply. PS: add up the demand of the USB devices that do not have a seperate power supply, they take power from the computer. The card your looking at I think is asking for 350 watts minimum! A little of topic but I would not doubt that many people complaining about Graphic isssues and such might be under powered as it will affect the operation of the components My 2 cents

@sluggCDN One Canadian to another... I don't know which part of the game your raving about, Demo or full Version. But, I have the full version, issues yea a few, seen and experinced worse with other full release games also. Your machine will run the full version fine with the right settings and connection to a decent server for your multiplayer enjoyment. All I can say is I am definatley not upset with my purchase from overseas and I am enjoying learning new stuff that my 5 or so years of playing OFP taught me. As with OFP the growing pains came and went. In my opinion (as with others I am sure), the upgrades in Armed Assault will make the pains more bearable.

Run OFP Watch!!! Still a good variety of severs running.

An update on my situation. Idea support kept their promise and sent me another file to try for download. At this time I am about 20 Min. left on download. Hope to See you all on the Battlefield soon

Same message for me. "tomorrow" I have not figured out my emotion's yet. Upset. Worried. Happy. Humm, I guess we will see. PS: Thanks for listening Placebo
-
Placebo This is what came back when using the link for support in the confirmation email? I thought I had done something wrong so I tried it several times, same thing happened for all attempts: From :  <mailfilterbis@microgaming.com> Sent :  December 10, 2006 6:47:08 AM To :  my email address@hotmail.com Subject :  Message Undeliverable to softwrap.helpserve.com   |  |  | Inbox Your message Subject: "Re: my download attempts" could not be delivered to softwrap.helpserve.com Unable to resolve the domain <softwrap.helpserve.com> for the following users:  support@Softwrap.helpserve.com On a side note: I got a response from Idea support thanking me for my interest and purchase of Armed Assault and they were looking into my problem and would possibly respond later today. We will see!!!!

I just tried again, yea I know I'm a glutten for punishment, anyhow no luck with download? I e-mailed Idea, Sprocket and softwrap. even though I clicked the link in the email Softwrap's emails keep getting bounced back with this message: "Unable to resolve the domain <softwrap.helpserve.com> for the following users: support@Softwrap.helpserve.com" No reply from support@sprocket but I did get... An auto response from Idea. (I Guess that is something! As I said before. It is really surpising nobody is monitoring this over the weekend, is that not when most people play, surf and buy stuff? Something tells me that this is not right and just in case I have put my Credit Card Provider on alert for wierd purchases and told them I will most likely be cancelling this card and requesting another in the very near future. What a pain in the tush. Oh well, thats what Luv does to you, make you blind and stupid. Â Â Â

Another in our gaming group downloaded the Game no problem, but he did not get a confirmation e-mail at all? which by the way I still cannot download, What is going on? It is obviously not a stable option, I am starting to wonder if it's a secure method? I hope I'm wrong
-
Well I'm totally burnt out trying to get this download started. I wish I was in Aftermath's shoes (he has the download) and maybe he wishes he was in mine (I have the CD.Key) This really sucks a whole weekend shot trying to download!!!! I wonder if my interest in this game will override the feelings I'm having right now? I am so close to venting  .     Â
-
Aftermath A couple lines above the "License Holder name and Purchase Reference numbers" should be the serial number? Humm, by the way my auto reply from idea # was 140?
-
Aftermath I have tried differnt times. Anyhow, the email contained about 3 or 4 lines down in the email, it should say: "When you run the setup, you will be prompted to enter your ArmA serial number:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

Does anybody know if the support offered from "Idea" or "Sprocket" or "Softwrap" 24 hours? You would think that on a weekend there would be a real person available to assist.? No replies? no Help? I even just tried the "NO NO" I opened every port (Just to try start download) to the internet still no luck.  BIGBEAR your are a little liite on my feelings right now!!!!  It's just over 24 hours of trying, no luck  HELP, HELP!!!!!
-

-
MAN YOU LUCKY!!! Lets see, No firewall, no Spyware blockers running!! It's been just over 4 hours of trying to download. I think somewhere about 400 attempts to download so far? Weird, maybe downloads to Canada are blocked? I will try a few more times Sunday (I write this Saturday), no luck, well.... I don't know? Request credit on Credit Card I guess.
-
Humm, I'm having same problems? I've been trying to download for over 3 hours now same message or sort of? "Transfer failed! Try another server." no reply from sprocket as of yet.

anybody know is that the "Special Edition" 1699 Krona = About $80.00 US
-
@MAGPIE Load OFP Watch I am sure you will find a server that is running at least a CTI or even a C&H mission. I know most of them will do an auto addon download (with OFP Watch) so you will have the required mods. I can assure you some of the CTI's can last over 4 hours!!
-
I wonder: Would it be a good idea for anybody to release a game or related info, when the game is related to War, on or around November 11? Other wise known as "Rememberance Day" or "Armistice Day". I think most countries respect that Day , don't they?
-
Dang, andersson Yea "Class Idea". Can I expand on it? How about "Virtual Vacations"? Like lets say: A nice sunrise, beach scene In Cancun, Mexico. Pina Colada, Anyone? The we all jump a big Chopper and catch the sunset on a Beach in Acapulco, Mexico with a Tequila in Hand cheering the crew that released Armed Assault and of course the Map Maker that created the beautiful replicas of the beaches .

I'm with you Commando84. We have had like 6 or 8 hour long CTF matches on out server a few times. We started with like 12 people and by the end of the night only 1/2 were sort of left playing, I cannot count the number of times we just gave up after 3 or 4 hours of play. I can just imagine a match lasting a weekend or longer, with the ability of people to come and go. @ L etranger, I've never played and Dynamic Missions but would that not potentially be the same thing, an on going maybe endless Match? In my opinion, the improvments that Armed Assault is to bring to OFP is just a bonus, don't tell anybody but, I would have paid for a JIP Patch to OFP. I luv playing OFP I just don't like the "Waiting for Server" part, having to "reassigning" for our gaming buddies or even worse leaving the players in a lurch (unusable player) because I had to leave the keyboard for extended periods to help the wife with some house chores or take the dog out for a walk. Those who play CTI type missions will understand.
