Sorry for this. For my understanding you don't need the FULL install of CUP normaly, if you create your own map based on CUP Terrains. But for any reason some object types (clutter?) are not part of the core version of CUP :( Silola

We have tried the download multiple times and there was nothing corrupt :( Maybe currently to many downloads ... hmm ... don't know. Silola

That's exactly what we will do :) Silola

Sorry ... @Taunus the "Telekom" have only installed ISDN ... means 64k up/down.

Hi, change to CUP is done. AiA TP is now no longer required :-) Thanks to Kju for helping us to develop a solution. This concerns some misplaced objects. No matter how the reviews will be, we are in love with the Taunus map ;-) Hold on Silola

Hi, today I will try to push down the hype a little bit - Taunus looks not like at all the pictures I've posted. - The performance is horrible - Many missplaced objects - Taunus at night looks really awfull - Currently no dust on all the surfaces - Many missplaced roads - Many not enterable houses - The 3 large citys not really playable - The AI is mostly not able to interact correctly with the large densety of objects - The sat, mask and the clutter definition is all but not really perfect - Many other bugs and issues. That's true, but we start last year with AiA TP with the certainty in the backside that CUP will be 100% compatible ... that was the statement, if I remember correctly. But as you know, everyone has exactly 3 options available: 1. Load Taunus + AiA TP = have fun 2. Load Taunus + CUP = have fun and accept some missplaced objects 3. Don't press any download button ;) Silola

Ok, this could be. But now I ask myself ... what was wrong with the orientation of this object? What's the reason to say ... the orientation of this object is wrong, we have to fix it. Before it was facing to the north and now it's facing to the east (for example) and I don't understand why it was a problem, but now ... we have a problem. But anyway, fact is ... both versions are not compatible and that's annoying :( And now the last picture set before release ;) Silola

Hi, a few days ago I said: I will also try to create Taunus at the end as a CUP version (only 2 object types to modify). But unfortunately we found other incompatible objects. This requires that the first release version of Taunus needs the AiA Terrain Pack. Sorry, but I'm not able to fix all these issues. So we hope the CUP team will fix all the errors sometime. Here you can see an object with wrong orientation, for example: Silola

OMG :o

I'm glad that they does'nt delete a tree or a bush, but on the other hand, this would lead into a performance boost, of course ... hmm.

Simple example, why I'm losing my motivation ... Why the hell suddenly objects are missing? :icon_wink: Silola

Many thanks guys ! To make it clear ... I don't want to de-install Arma3, but I want to stop working on any mod whatever, because it's to much time intensive. I will "play" some missions@taunus, of course, but that's all. I know, the last 5-10% sounds like ... work for only a few more days, but exactly the final part of such a project is very time consuming and for me there is no free time left after Christmas. That's the reason for this step, but as I said before ... Hotzenplotz and maybe EH_Chaser and Deox will continue the work around Taunus, but it will take some time. I can not guarantee that. It must be decided by the rest of the team. Until Christmas I will work erery damn day at Taunus in order to finish different areas as much as possible (I can only speak for myself) and that's all what I can do now. So, hold on and wait for the release day :) Greetings Silola

Hi, we have good news and bad news. The bad news first :( : We are out of power and out of motivation after 5.5 million objects and around 9 month of hard work. And ... the team has shrunk by half :( In addition, new problems arise as soon as Arma gets a new patch. Free according to the motto: 3 bugs fixed, 6 new bugs inserted. That's absolutly annoying and frustrating. I think a part of the team will leave the Arma modding community, because it makes absolutly no sense to invest so much time and at the end some parts of the project are broken. Now the good news :) : We will release Taunus around Christmas, anyway how finished the map is. I think the current state is 90% and I hope we can reach 95% ... maybe more. I will also try to create Taunus at the end as a CUP version (only 2 object types to modify). I really don't know if we are able to complete Taunus in 2017 or to fix all the different bugs (for sure you will find many of them ;) Perhaps Hotzenplotz has the muse and the time to invest further work in Taunus, but I will definitely not continue the work. So, stay tuned and hope that the next Arma patch will bring some improvements instead of destroying more and more. We really like the Arma community, but we don't like the Arma engine anymore. This time is now over. Thanks for understanding. X-Cam-Taunus-Team Full album: http://imgur.com/a/MZr5d Silola

Many thanks guys :) It's true ... AiA TP is outdated, but we have started with AiA and we will finish this map with AiA. But at the end you can use AiA or CUP without any problems. CUP is, of course, the better choice, but I've found at least two object types with wrong positioning ... one streetlamp and one type of house (1m Difference in elevation) :( Silola

DAC V3.1 (Dynamic-AI-Creator) released
silola replied to silola's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Please try different DAC_Marker settings. I think u can use 1-10 ... so for example "DAC_Marker = 3" or "DAC_Marker = 5" With some settings u can see marker for each unit and not only for each group. The group reduce function don't delete the leader of the group, so maybe u make any other mistake. One reason could be, if the "_setJoin" Value (within DAC_Config_Behaviour) is to high, some groups will join other groups and then the old group is deleted ... incl. the respective marker. The same can happen if u create many small DAC groups (2-3 units per group, for example), then the probability is very high that the small groups joins larger groups. I think that's your problem. Try to disable this function by setting this value to 0 >>>> _setJoin = 0; The DAC readme says: Silola -
