    why play ofp?

I have to disagree, comparing OFP and ArmA2 on my PC the latter runs even faster with the same view distance and better graphics. But despite this I still play OFP because of infinite number of addons and mods. Recreation of almost every conflict is possible in OFP.
  2. All soft evolves mainly by extensive way: the newer version is - the more resources it needs. Better AI and graphics in games cost more Gbs and GHz. It's like enlarging power of car engine only through larger volume, amounts of cylinders and fuel consumption. BTW the version of Chrome browser I installed on my smartphone back in 2012 when I bought it worked good, but now it is just a slowpoke that freezes the phone totally and often crashes due to lack of memory. Despite that many sites I browse are of mobile version and don't have much 'heavy' content. 4-5 years ago my phone could work good when Whatsapp, Viber and Chrome worked simultaneously. Now I have to kill processes and leave only one of them working. May someone help me with one question? If my motherboard's (GA-B75M-D3V rev 2.0) list of supported CPUs (it doesn't count all the possible models) contains Xeon E3-12xx, will it work with Xeon E3-12xx v2?

    Terror attack in Manchester

I wonder if the relatives of victims will sue this guys for being the main reason of this tragedy.
  4. Practice in editor may help. Oh and using joystick instead of WASD keys may also ease the jets operating. Some of them, for example Franze's Su-17, are handled better while using joystick.

A US CAG heading to Korean peninsula

You may be surprised but Dudayev, Chechen separatism leader got almost all the stuff of the 242-th military training center (it's about 42 tanks, tens of APCs, heavy artillery, some Mi-8 helos and about two hundreds of L-29 and L-39 planes, not mentioning tons of rifles and ammo) by Kremlin's order. Despite protests of army servicemen who were ordered to leave all the objects and withdraw from Chechnya. So I know that some stuff had been sold to Bosnia and Croatia silently. From what I know Mi-24s and MiGs are from Ukraine. S-300??? Wow... Something new for me. Did they get Topol-M also? At that time Russia had not any own interests at all.

True is that such camps are of European (British) origin, first been used during Second Boer war. And what? STASI and Securitate failed to stop the fall of their regimes, the same goes to different CIA backed Southern American huntas that terrorised their own population. NK state does not have some super effective methods of population control like psy-towers, nor does it have enough troops to prevent unrest. Because most of armed forces personell live in the same conditions like most part of NK population. So why NK does still exist? I suppose because average people live in not so bad conditions. BTW look at the population in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and many African states. I guess the percent of people suffering from shortage of food may be far more than in NK. But what? Nobody cares. Especially when India may buy a big bunch of French planes and Bangladesh provides cheap labor for western corporations. You express the concern about poor Koreans but I bet you don't even think about all that South-East Asian people who work hard in horrific conditions at plants producing cheap clothes for western brands. And really funniest thing is that NK regime is... needed for US and Japan as great scarecrow. United Korea will be dangerous rival both for US and Japan in economic terms as it will free a big amount of money spent now on defence. Also it will raise a question about US bases presence, because with the fall of Kims regime there will be no need for them.

Personally you may not support any dictatorship but western establishment will continue to have love with such regimes as Saudi etc. And it will use double standards further. For example supporting separatism in Chechnya and Kosovo because it hits Russia and its ally Serbia (not mentioning crimes committed by Dudayev's or Albanian guys) but supporting territorial integrity of Georgia or Ukraine (because they are NATO-friendly). So Persian Gulf regimes that are sponsoring radical islamism and terrorist organizations are still allies of democratic countries but one small NK regime that hadn't ever done anything similar and just trying to get effective defence instrument against possible agression... oh sorry democratisation is portrayed as hell's subsidiary on Earth with Satan's bro ruling it.

They were not aware of it in 1951-1953, fighting directly against US and its allies. Why would they care of it later, having the same chinese and soviet support? They have it, at least they could easily transfer advisers and weapons to the country they want. Taliban is against the west, but I think they are scumbags too. The same goes to Idi Amin. Speaking globally and a offtopic, that so-called west didn't give a fecies when Georgian regime tried to solve Abhasian problem with artillery, tanks and aviation and hadn't done anything to stop the crimes of Georgian troops against locals (some of them belong to my family). Also that west tries to ignore crimes of Ukrainian army in Donbass. Another my relatives survived that mess only due to miracle. So, you see, some people may not like west because actions of its establishment did hit their families directly. BTW look at penalties of Saudi Arabia and ask why is it still being one of the closest western allies at the Middle East? Despite being really bloody dictatorship with such things official executions for sourcery. Where do all that international organizations watch? Oh sorry I forgot that everything is okay if such country hosts US military facilities and has much oil and money to spend.

And you have sources that give a 100% real truth about life there, do you?

That's a facts, like it or not. That 'bloody dictators' have their BDSM only within their borders. Moreover after seeing a number of photo reports from current NK I can say it's just another third world country, not rich but not starving. On the other hand I can clearly see what can happen after intervention of democratic regimes into other countries, how they easily spit on international law if it counters with their interests and how they use not even double but multiple standards on the same things.

At least Kims hadn't intervened in other states' affairs and hadn't participated in the wars since 1953 unlike some deomcratic regimes.

I don't see anything bad in NK having nuclear missiles. This will cool someone's heads for sure.
  13. Not sure if it's right topic to post but... I'd ask if anyone has RHS AFRF scripting commands stored, such as displaying of ammo boxes on light vehicles, sideskirts on T-80s and so on. Previously all this was on their old site but it's no longer available.

Trump isn't so dumb to enter the war with nuclear-capable country that has enough balls to use its nukes.

    USA strike Syria

By showing this pictures I'm trying to show that it's naive to take all the info coming from anti-Asad side without the grain of salt. Asad isn't saint at all but he's also not stupid maniac as he's being portrayed by western media. They would be alive if some countries did not try to intervene in the inner Syrian affairs and topple Asad. Missile strike had been ordered just this way so why are you surprised? Even the governments of certain countries made the accusation or Syrian regime based on some unverified info or some 'top secret' intel that will never be shown to the world. And this had happened for several times during the whole Syrian mess. It is up to every user to choose what info does he prefer. I just bring another side.

Here's another version of what happened during recent gas attack.

    USA strike Syria

Maybe. Or maybe not. We still don't have any investigation as I've said.
  18. spooky lynx

    USA strike Syria

No. No. Because, as I've already said, still there's no independent investigation about who did it and how. Cries of anti-Asad opposition dubbed by some western media and nothing else.

    USA strike Syria

To be honest I think death is death and don't differ much death from gas and death from HE shell or napalm. Both bring pain. So for me it's only about ways of dealing with internal opposition (in case of Syria) or separatism (in case of Iraq). And I suppose Kurds themselves don't differ Saddam Hussein from Turkish government as both treat them as separatists and fight them with all the weapons available. CW is not so hard to produce (do you remember Japanese attacks in metro?). And seeing instant hysteria after that ammo depot cooked off and spreaded CW around I suppose that not only rebels were hit but also some advisors who helped them to produce CW.

    USA strike Syria

You see, there are already many countries that want to see another regime in Syria, and they try to use every possible thing to accuse Asad in cruelty and other scary stuff. So doing something that won't help in fighting but give the enemies huge reason for using force and intervention is more than stupid. Fighting in civil war means also fighting for civilians's symphaties. And you don't have to be a genius to know that use of CW against them won't make them like you.

    USA strike Syria

Yes. First time own troops were used. This time all the dirty work is made by local gangs. The thing is that Asad didn't bother with US. It is US that started to arm and support local opposition for the purpose of overthrowing Asad. Yes you may say about authoritarian and corrupted regime and oppressed people, but look how long did oppressed Shia population last against authoritarian Bahraini regime without foreign support from mighty friends.

    USA strike Syria

I would post a well known Colin Powell's photo but I think you'll understand me without it. I'd like US establishment woudn't deal with it also and don't use brutal force before any independent investigation. More islamist dudes will meet their 72 virgins. And less of them will have a chance to appear somewhere in my city that is about 4 days of traveling by car from Damascus.
  23. spooky lynx

    USA strike Syria

And what if it turns out that banned weapons on spectators were used not by Asad? What will be then? Any apologies and international sanctions for the state committed that agression act? Like it or not but the culprits that are guilty in recent deaths of civilians are not found yet. Just someone said "Asad did it!" and that's all. BTW how can I hate the president our hackers brought to the White House?
  24. spooky lynx

    USA strike Syria

We all had seen raised prosperity of Libyan, Afghan and Iraqi civilians after US interventions, yes. Also Syrian civilians' life changed for better way after western-backed opposition started revolt and civil war. Now they don't even have to work, EU social system provides them with money. Fully agree. Only the strike on US fleet and illegal military facilities in Syria may change something.
  25. spooky lynx

    USA strike Syria

Yes, I saw that during US struggle with IS for several years the latter increased its territory much. Very effective. As for proof maybe there is or maybe there is no. Just like in case of Iraq. On the other side we have official OPCW report about complete destruction of Syrian CW. And one more thing. Use of CW against civilians is what Asad's enemies will immediately use against him. So do you think Asad is so stupid to bring one more bonus to his enemies?
