What's wrong with marines?:confused: If I'm not mistaken A2 story runs in 2009, so they have outdated gear that wasn't used at that year? BTW, are Force Recon units OK? And what's wrong with Delta units?

So the main goal is to have some army units with different gear, for example? Agree. But what's are reasons of unsatisfaction? Just the will to have different units with wide variety of gear or something else? Also, I'm interested in how BIS units are modelled, do they represent really actual ones IRL or have some mad mix of look-a-like uniform as ArmA1 BLUFOR units had?

I won't buy A3 if there would be total crysis-style units setting and there wouldn't be any tools for modding released shortly after the beginning of the sales.

BLUFOR's AA is AWACS+air superiority fighters+good and fast communications between all armed forces branches IRL.

As for the Libya, our press is acting just like yours. All reports don't differ much from those at western media. As for Chechnya... Let me try to tell all this shortly, what I've seen there: 1) Dudayev and nationalists get the power there (seize all local authority facilities, some MVD weapon caches etc) 2) later he proclaims independence of Chechnya and starts to try to seize all army caches and facilities with the help of civilian crowds and taking hostages among the families of officers 3) our government... orders to give almost all heavy weapons from all facilities to Dudayev's guys (tanks, IFVs, APCs, SPAAGs, AAA, MANPADS, heavy and light artillery, planes) - so he got all for building his own army 4) then the war between Dudayev and opposition broke out, opposition also got some heavy weapons and few Mi-24s that were used during assault of Grozny in November of 1994 5) then our dear president Yeltsin woke up and said "WTF?! Some dude's trying to make his own country!!!111 Let's kick his butt!" and the army entered Chechnya again in 11 of december 1994 ...btw, in 1994 Dudayev honestly said "I can give up the idea of independence, just give me a chair of the minister of defence in your government, and I'll quit all this, (but Yeltsin refused it)" 6) finally, full scale war broke out. And the matter is not only in local oil. You can't imagine, how many billions of dollars were spent a little bit later on the reconstruction of all infrastructure officially. Most of them were stolen, but until 2009 I've heard monthly that "Today the government ordered to give xxx millions of dollars for rebuilding of [something]". Of course, real money that were spent on reconstruction are about 30-40 times smaller, all other was stolen. So, this war is the perfect way to steal infinite amount of money. They may be given for rebuilding of all that was destroyed, for all that is connected with military...

As a geographer I can say deserts won't look real near jungle:) Maybe savannahs... This islands have too different environments.

And you're quite right, indeed. How does any government deal with foreigners who start armed rebellion at their country? How does Israel behave with arabic guerillas that 'help' palestinians? What happens with other arabic mujaheeden who come to Iraq?

It was said that Russia intervented Georgia/Moldova/Chechnya etc. But I doubt that any of you know much about the amount of russians who had been murdered there or had to become refugee. The best way to stop the civil war is not to take part in it and not to help any side. Anything other will turn the things worse and only make war longer and more devastating. LOLWUT? Violence there is not always pointless, moreover it often has the point. But this point can not be understanded by us all the times. Since 1990 my nation had been faces ethnical cleancings in Azerbaycan and Nagorny Karabakh, Tadjikistan, Georgia and Abkhasia, Moldova and Chechnya. There you could be easily killed only because you are russian/ukrainian/belorussian. And please name some west-european nation that had gone through the same since 1990. Germans, French's, Brits, any others?

Incorrectly fixed. Why - it was said before me. BTW, we had to interfere in the Moldovan mess only for stopping their armed nationalists and prevent another massacre of russians there. You can easily find some evidents like the motto written at the wall of the roadblock built by moldovan nazis - "Chicken isn't a bird, cossack isn't a human". At the every european country it will be called "supression of rebellion" or "the war with terrorism". YES. You may live whatever you like, and let the others do the same. For some countries and cultures tribal structure, violence and armed struggle for the power are normal parts of their life. There's a proverb: do not touch a s:icon_exclaim:t and it will not stink. Both Bahraini and Libyan opposition (or any other guys protesting against their authorities) are beaten hardly. But Libyan ones soon get full support of EU, US and NATO at all levels and Bahraini ones recieve another kicks from their own cops and soldiers and from saudi guys who came to help their bahraini comrades. And what do I see? All news channels shout about evil Quaddafi's guys who kill and rape everything around them, and bahraini authorities... Well, there's almost silence... Guys, I see you just wish to get Quaddafi out of Libya and you don't care about any protesters. And any talks about human rights are total BS. Just recognize that you have the power and the will to destroy unwilled regime and make friendly one instead. There's nothing bad in this, but all this hypocrisy and lies are bad. Just say "We have the balls and we'll make Libya our satellite".

And why must europeans take part in Libya's interior messes? Arabs know better how should they live. BTW, why doesn't anyone blame Saudis or Bahrain? They act almost the same as Quaddafi, but all free press keeps silence... And noone tries to establish no-fly zone, noone tries to bomb bahraini army... Noone shouts that saudi soldiers that came to help with opposition rape houndreds of bahrainis...

They start to loot it via those rebels. And the part of the help is that the companies trade with the rebels.

Luxemburger, US... What's the difference? The main thing is that armed rebels that try to overthrow the government recieve wide help from another countries.
