De-facto both Sweden and Finland are in the NATO already as they participate in joint campaigns and use the same weaponry. Oh and Estonia is not so far from St. Petersburg too. So no need to sett le bases in Finland, they are already in Baltic countries (who have borders with more developed and important Russian regions, not only Karelian forests).

Yes. The same things were in Iraq during the war with Iran. The same things happened in the USSR during WW2. The government has to do something with such rebellions, especially if they are happening at the wartime. To do as quickly as possible. And somebody had been put into prison camps even just because of war hysteria.

I know Hussein was sunni, but the irony is that his former enemies support his current admirers. Muslim brotherhood rebellion during the wartime you mean? Just average reaction of every regime for such things.

That picture isn't directed at your post, just shows who is the hero of some dudes supported by US& some EU members. A person who was the target of US & NATO just some years ago. Now 'freedom fighters' sponsored by democratic countries paint bloody dictator that was convicted with mass murders and -cheers!- having and using CW against civilians. Funny isn't it? Maybe later we'll find some Osama Bin Laden pics at the vehicles used by opposition... Who knows?

Why now US govt wants nothing but to crush Assad's regime and 4 years ago had an easy talk with him? Assad hadn't been changed. US DoS had been cured from blindness? How they could afford a talk with such a culprit and why the can not have the same peace talks instead of arming the jihadists and threaten Syria with war? Why there's no diplomacy now but only support of one side of the conflict and threats to another? Assad lost the title of 'our SOB'?

In some regions such 'human rights blah blah' talks mean weakness and excuse to punch/rob/steal etc. The more strong, cunning and impudent you are - the more rights you have.

Like it or not but the facts look this way. European understanding and regulation of human rights does not work everywhere equally. Cultures are different. Understanding of rights is different in different parts of the world. One thing may be threated both as the breach of human rights or normal behavior of well-respected person.

I'd add it has not remote but almost the same turret as T-72's commander. Wings of peace/Legacy of the Cold war contains Zubr-class LCAC, but this ship is not complete. How about adding it to CWR naval infantry? I know it was comissioned in 1988 but still that could be good Soviet landing craft.

Okay let's make free and fair elections. Well, what will happen after its end? The tribes or clans for sure will say that only their candidate won fairly and others are cheaters etc. The result is armed clashes between the supporters of candidates. The only fair candidate for the clan is the person that belongs to it. Or look at the Egypt: at first elections that MB won, at second revolt again against freshly elected MB with hunreds killed within some days. That's the democracy as it is in ME. Oh and I see the will to bring European style elections, behavior and way of life to another nation with their own way of life as intelligence test too. Don't mess with your own statute in another's monastery, as one wise proverb says.

Well, you may name me a racial bigot or whatever else but I talk about what I see among my Arabian relatives who live there. Oh and they say about clans the same too. That's not the racism or something similar. The cultures are different, so what works with one nation may not work with other. If you are supporter of multiculturalism you' d know this.

Some of you say about the democracy at Middle East... Are you sure it is possible while most of the population there still has clan-based relations? Unfortunately dictatorship is the only possible solution now, because only dictator may really keep constant balance between different clans, tribes and religions there, like Qaddafi (may he rest in peace) did. Either local dictator shoul do this or... colonial administration. Maybe after some decades Middle East society will transform itself to something similar to current European one.

Great map, there're many stories that can be set on it. One small suggestion from me: how about removing all the wrecked vehicles from the map? That will add more freedom to mission makers.

Mattar, what about lack of any protection stuff on those who were near the dead bodies? Why the dead don't have any evidences of been killed by CW? Is it some miraclous gas that kills one person but does not harm another who contacts with the dead and walks at contaminated area freely without any protection?
