All that independence and cultural identity fuss is popular just because of economical problems. Just like in Russia. It's always easier to blame somebody else - central government etc.

I highly doubt that someone will be sacked only for being LGBT crew if he/she is a valuable employee and good specialist. But in other way many deeks may use such law as defence from the employer who wants to dismiss incompetent worker.

I'd say it's not about preperation for war only. People have enough experience of using it, so average robber will think twice - what will he face in the appartments he wants to hijack. Not so many people want to risk their life.

Also a few extra skins for Franze's Su-17 would be nice to see. I mean DDR, CSLA, Bulgarian skins (your 'fictional' SLA uses Bulgarian camo so I'd say this nation is represented in P85 too).

I have some idea: combine the models of radar and missile launcher by some invisible structure, place the crew in the radar. Another way is to prohibit fire by launcher without radar being placed at the given distance (if I'm not mistaken this has been done this way in SA-6 addon).

At least Arma2 content should be brought to OA standarts... Either by devs or by community after SDK release.

I still play Arma2CO and don't have any plans for buying 3rd part until decent number of additional content representing real militaries but not vanilla A3 bullcraep will be available (not just ports from previous titles but fully functional). Also Steam dependency is the huge reason not to bother with A3. The only reason for keeping Steam on my PC is Half-Life series. So at least now Arma2 with some mods and addons is my choice.

Free market you say? Okay we had it in Russia in 90's, do you know what does it mean really? No salary obligations, no production because resale of imported goods and sale of natural resources abroad is most profitable. Many industrial and scientific branches were destroyed - they were not enough profitable so nobody wanted to deal with it without any state interference. I see that all those who cry about ole good free market and blame some state or socialist regulations hadn't lived a day in the truly free market conditions...

All those regions like Catalonia etc. willing for independence got their prosperity while being parts of their countries. So it is not clear will they have the same strong economy being independent.

Maybe de-jure they are in the same position as Russia but in fact they aren't. Especially Sweden: some joint weaponry programms and deals, ISAF participation for example. Libya, Yugoslavia, Iraq were both countries friendly to Russia. NATO had been stretched to the East till our borders, some CIS countries were converted to pro-US with so called 'flower revolutions'. Now there is 'spring' in Syria, our ally, hosting our naval base. Do you still say there's no close focus on Russia? That's true about rifles/MGs. But at the same time more heavy systems such as ATGMs, anti-air systems, artillery pieces are becoming mainly of NATO standarts.
