'We', being USSR governmant, gave some land to it (Donbass, Crimea), we co-existed in Empire and Kievskaya Rus long before 'brotherly' union - a thing that most of Europeans and their descendants in America do not understand. We had been starving together in 20-30's of XX century. You know, the same 'holodomor' had happened in my region and northern parts of Kazakhstan. Second class citizens? Sure, two of them became leaders of the whole USSR, aren't you tired about talking such ignorant BS? You'd better study the names of USSR higher officials before saying this.

One note: we (Russia and Ukraine) co-existed in one state for centuries. And we are mixed very much (me is example, my father is Ukrainian, mother is Russian). So it's not only about having Ukraine as market, I'd say market is at one of the last places. It's very hard to live in different countries when you have lots of ties (cultural, economic, ethnic etc.) that exist for many centuries. And as for the independence - let me repeat, if it is real independence then we are okay about it. If it is hostile politics, praising of nazi douchebags and supporting our enemies (and even direct involvement in wars against us - UNA-UNSO in Abhasia, Chechnya, Georgia-Osetia war) but will to have low prices for gas and oil, low fees for Ukrainian goods at our market and other nice stuff - no thanks.

It's those maidan 'defenders', mainly from Svoboda or Pravy sektor try to be 'angry cops'. I know nobody likes local road police (most of them are corrupted for the 146%) but this maidanuts behave even worse. Their manner of speech reminds me some street crooks from the deep province...

I'd say it's not the same problem: "Pravy sektor" became too violent and agressive (I mean they try to re-establish control over centuries-formed cross-border smuggling business and push Uzhgorod guys out of it), so even Zakarpatye inhabitants turned against them. As for our will to make Ukrs obey - it's false. We can easily co-exist either in one state or in neighboring ones. But Ukr govt wanted to seat at two chairs - receive wide economic support from us (cheap loans, low prices on gas and oil, low customs fees, co-operation in industry) but at the same time provide pro-EU/US politics. Well, you know, there's a proverb - those who pay, order what music to play. We don't want to pay for our neighbour performing unfriendly policy. You want to be independent - okay, have usual prices, customs fees, etc. I can't even imagine that Poland or Czech rep. or Italy could openly support Hussein or Quaddafi and establish good ties with him after he had been proclaimed 'bloody dictator' or openly support Serbia and help it with retaking Kosovo back. So it's not our attempt to enslave free Ukrs by high gas prices, it's usual pragmatic refuse to pay for other's good life.
  5. There is a pack of another Ukrainian army (basically retex of stock BIS models) on Armaholic, it includes Berkut.

Some interesting news from Zakarpatye (in Ukrainian, I tried to translate via google but the result was weird).

Stupid but expected move. According to glorious maidanuts one state language ("Ein Volk, Ein Reich..."?) will fill the bank accounts of the country and keep it away from default.

Frustration and hate exists in many countries, I'd say economics in Moldova is even worse that in Ukraine. But why there's no such maidan there? Albania, Greece and other countries do not look well too but there's no such cruel clashes or they are crushed by local LEOs and nobody gives a damn... Why? Where's ignition? Yanuk (being president in presidential republic so here is his right) knew that EU association treaty does not give much profit to Ukraine. And he even asked for referendum, but maidan said "NO". Why? But why so called civilized world widely supported collapse of USSR? Revolution in Czechoslovakia? War in Yugoslavia and separation of Montenegro? East Timor? According to your words nobody should support breakaway of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Montenegro. Nobody should cheer collapse of Soviet Union because the result was terrible - several unrests with casualties and numerous full-scale wars. Or aren't you tricking? They are most active part of opposition and that's most serious problem. When Krolik, Boxer and Fuhrer returned after negotiations with Yanuk they refused to recognize any peace treaties and shytestorm was started. And forget about communist party, it was not very big in Rada, the main one was PoR. And PoR tried to counter opposition mainly. Don't want to make you sad but Ukrainians in Crimea already making steps for separation. They are already establishing newly elected authorities (not connected to Commies or PoR - people do not trust politicians much now). And many of those who live in most industrialised regions that make backbone of local economics don't want to obey opposition much. Shufrich hadn't fled. Doniy hadn't fled. They were beaten by Svoboda crooks after wrong words spoken in Rada.

You know, those pesky communists should be thanked for adding Zakarpatye, Donbass and Crimea to the ridna nenka. Without them modern Ukraine would be much smaller. And other thing: if maidanuts do not want to obey Yanukovich's regime - why South-Eastern population must obey maidanuts? The whole EU deal (note not EU joining but just association treaty, noone in EU even spoke about joining of Ukraine in recent future, you'd remember that these are very different things) was quite disputable, but part of Ukrainian society in Maidan assumed the right of decision about EU relations for all the polulation. Why? Who gave them right to decide for the whole country? Why hadn't they accepted the idea of referendum? One more thing: Western and Eastern parts are quite different - from mentality to religion and way of life. Don't you think it's better to live in separate states like Czechia and Slovakia? I would surprise you but your beloved communists did not do anything in recent weeks. They are too small party. The decision about leaving the state and (maybe) joining Russia is made by ordinary people. Some people want to try join EU or build nationalist state, others want to live in the state friendly to Russia. This may be their opinion but not Kremlin propaganda. Two sides of medal and other stuff. If maidanuts want to live in national state - let them do it but on their own territory. At first - not entire. At second - how will you act if a crowd of maidanuts stands nearby and may torture you and your family? Some deputies that are anti-maidan were already beaten (Shufrich for example). Yanek is SOB indeed, he betrayed MVD troops and all those who have other views on Ukrainian future. He is like second Misha Gorby. Now he is not wanted as the leader of the state neither by maidanuts nor by PR supporters. Small percentage? Maybe. But this small percentage is most equipped, trained and experienced in fighting. And it ruled in Maidan and rules now. Their guys are armed and fought against government troops. And they said they do warn Yulia not to return in politics. Just as they do not need Krolik or Boxer.

Where is desinformation? Yarosh is not damn nazi? Or what? South-East wants to be separated after banderasts started to fight with authorities. Communist party calls for arming (and not only it) after some arms depots were seized by Pravy sektor. It's not surprise that all people that do not support nazis do not want to be murdered or tortured by them. Banderasts have long and well documented list of reasons of all Russians and moderate Ukrainians (and Poles, Jews etc.) to fear for their lives. And yes, I remember the history of 20-30's in my country and 'Starving Povolzhye', my own region. During that hard time thousands died from hunger, but not only in Ukraine - also in Povolzhye, Kazakhstan and other regions. Ukraine was not the most starving, so all that Holodomor BS is Orange guys invention for the excuse of their nazi policy. And I see that other parts of the opposition (Yatsenyuk, Klichko, Yulya etc) now are just talking heads with almost no influence at those raguli. You see, Yulia's speech was triple times interrupted - real guys who rule the protesters do not want her to become their chief. They have their own goals. So yes, looking at those who really influence protesters I can say all them are banderas. And other moderate ones are too weak and have nothing to do except obeying Yarosh&Co. And moreover the next goal of Ukr-nazis that was officially proclaimed - seize of 'historical Ukrainian lands' - Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kuban. How do you think do we want the war to come here or give away the territory of our state?

Those who tortured Poles with saws and axes in 40's. Nice example of freedom of speech, bandera edition. ... and other nice example of those who now in Kyiv.

Just as Georgia has nothing to do with Stalin's and Beria crimes. At least they think so. And Israel has nothing to do with crimes of Kaganovich, Sverdlov, Kotovsky, Bronstein aka Trotsky, Gamarnik, Bauman, Litvinov aka Finkelstein, Mehlis, Yagoda etc.

I don't say about victim. It's just struggle. And as for the methods - count the countries attacked by US&NATO after 1945 and Russia and compare numbers. Who is violent? How much can you profit from being pro-Russian? Ask Egyptians what they think about Aswan dam, Afghans about Salang tonnel and all the factories, roads and houses built by soviet engineers.

    Ukraine General

Fail. I've never voted for both Putin and EdRo. So please put your cliches somewhere far away. You see, if someone has an opinion alternative to you it is still opinion but not TV mantra.;) Oh and some members of my family live in Harkov and Poltava, moreover I'm Ukrainian for a half. So I don't like what happens with my dad's birthplace, it turns to new bandera-land, the difference between 1941 and 2014 is only that during 1941 raguli blamed and tortured kikes, moskali and poles, now kikes, moskali and titushkas. Nobody even speaks about joining EU, it's only about treaty that installs some standards for Ukrainian industry and laws and regulates customs tolls (in favor of EU). And EU isn't so stupid, believe me. They clearly know that Ukrainian industry won't be able to reach required standards and will be destroyed while attempting to do it. So another free market for EU goods will be ready. You may say it's tinfoil conspiracy and 'ZOMG evil Europeans try to harm mother Russia!!!' rant. Well, yes, they try to harm. Because it is just normal realpolitik and nothing more. The same things were 100 and 200 years ago, they will be 100 years later.
  16. spooky lynx

    Ukraine General

Most of Ukrainian industry ventures simply can not be transformed to suit listed EU standards, they are too tied with Russian market. So their only fate is collapse. EU is not dumb to help some foreign industry that may compete its own one. What will be the result? Desert.

The main reason of this so called Maidan is just a change of one scumbag (partly pro-European and partly pro-Russian) for another (strictly pro-EU/US). Those three dudes (Yatsenyuk, Klichko and fuhrer Tyagnibok) repeating manthra about EU association treaty being magic stick that will make everything in Ukraine better. Does the same treaty make anything better in Syria or Marocco? Nope. Will its new rules and harsh terms of new standards adoption for industry and other economic branches make Ukrainian life better? Nope. Economics will just collapse. What will become Ukraine - source of cheap labor force and market for EU goods. Looking at all that excrements happened in recent days I think that we should leave Ukraine and if maidauns want to be cheap labor force in EU - let them be.

Reinstate Forced Labour / Slavery ?

Take off your pink glasses and admit that losing of home and becoming hobo often results to becoming a criminal. A person needs food, booze and money and without work it often finds a way to get it through a crime. I know it by myself as my countryhouse was several times robbed by hobos. We had to hire guards to prevent destruction and pollution of our property.
  19. Have you read that 'homophobic' laws? Or you just have been told they are homophobic? Oh and I bet almost every single weapon manufacturer can tell that its goods had been used against civilians, Russian ones are not exception. It's a weapon, and it may be used against anyone, and humans are very cruel, deal with it. And, seeing at some African wars I'd say local-made machetes claim much more civilian lives than 90% of Russian or US or EU-made weapon.
  20. What is real modern democracy in your opinion? Maybe a country that pushes LGBT privileges no matter of protests while there are many other problems (way more important) and bombs other independent country after receiving money from its leader as sponsorship for elections campaign?;) If so - I'm proud that I live in undemocratic country.
  21. Some people suppose so called democracy (as it exists now) and dictatorship don't really differ much. And to be honest I think the same way.

Well, to be honest, those whose rights are abused in prison here just don't pay anything to prison authorities. If you have enough cash you will have anything from cosy conditions to cell phone, PC. Even sentence may be decreased and you may go outside prison for weekends. Just pay. Husband of my godmother attacked her with knife and wounded her heavily two years ago. He got 4 years of prison, but was told that he may have parole for about 10000 Euro bribe. He and his children from first marriage hadn't such money so he will stay full sentence. I don't know about Lithuania but here I know two recent cases of men killing the rapists of their children while defending them. Now they are still free but may be sentenced.
