Users of militaryphotos.net found that the rifle is Ukrainian-made Z-15 (AR-clone). Vests are also locally made. So it seems that these guys are locals.

Already done this, please read my posts earlier.

I'll look at it with pleasure because I have LOTS of uncomfortable questions to both Putin and EdRo in case of internal politics. ---------- Post added at 22:51 ---------- Previous post was at 21:56 ---------- One of my friends lives in Barcelona (he's Russian too), so I'll definitely visit him some days, it's not so expencive. From what my friend says (being Spanish resident since 2003) things there really screwed up. Yeah, comparing with Moldova or Baltic countries it's okay indeed, but still... They are quite happy with opportunity to work here without any visa problems and send a cash to the families in Georgia. So they successfully sit at two chairs. This is what I hate most of all in case of post-USSR countries - combination of moaning about Soviet/Russian occupation but at the same time working (in many times illegally) in a country they blame and enjoying all the benefits it has. From this point of view I respect Baltic countries much more - at least they are consistent in their rhetorics and ideology and deal with EU and US mostly. Google with the phrase "olympic games bashing" - you'll find some interesting stuff. So-called 'anti-gay' policies (IRL it is not anti-gay but forbidding gay propaganda among minors, these are two different things) hysteria right before Olympics made me laugh - facts of some Criminal Code articles in nearest 'civilized world' allies in the Middle East stating death penalty for being gay are ignored totally for years. How do you think why? And yes, maybe it's old-fashioned to hide a sexuality in Europe but here it's normal, that's local culture. So according of tolerance and multiculturalism ideology even such aspects of Russian cultures should be at least respected but not constantly labeled as barbaric and retarded. I don't know how to put sarcastic tag at that phrase, so in my words 'democratic and truly free 90's' was full of sarcasm. But, believe it or not, most of so called liberals that are pro-EU/US and have good personal ties with different agencies and politicians from west think about that time period in such way. We had little wars between Osetians and Ingushs, full-scale war in Chechnya (with 'Chechen rebels' armed with tanks, heave artillery, Grads etc.) that was halted for three years and them broke again and ended only in about 2005. Now it's almost over, nobody blows houses, captures hospitals or schools. I know the end is not near but still it's better that early 2000's and especially 90's. Attacks of gangs armed with AKs and RPGs are way more easier to deal with than attacks of gangs armed with BMPs and having 122-mm howitzers fire support. Meanwhile 'kidnapped' Ukrainian officer found detained by local police for... being drunken while driving quadrocycle and making car accident. "I... I was... sitting on rear...":D 2,01 promille of alcohol in blood. ---------- Post added at 23:04 ---------- Previous post was at 22:51 ---------- Here you go. There are lost of interesting articles from kikes being guilty in all troubles of Ukraine to suggestion of forced sterilization of all those who do not support glorious revolution. Well, if such things are widely spoken on official party forums...

I've been only in former USSR republics. It's not surprise that there are more immigrants in Europe - Africa and Middle East are closer to it. And here you can find not only whole villages inhabited for example by newly arrived Azeris, but also some city districts. You're right about Baltics but as for average Georgians - I don't agree. Many of them moved here or work for season, many of Georgian residents (mainly mature ones, not teenagers or above 30) think of Russia and joint country warmly (Georgia was one of the richest USSR republics). European rulers and media outlets constantly criticize current Russian culture, labeling it not modern, too untolerant etc. I don't even mention all that craepstorm before Olympic games, all that games bashing. Had anyone been sacked or judged? Nope. And I don't even mention that constant flow of hypocrisy regarding separatism and borders (Kosovo and Macedonia Albanians, Chechens have rights to fight for their independence but Abhasians, Artsah Armenians and Transnistria Russians - not, borders of pro-West Georgia and Ukraine must be respected and separatism must not be tolerated but former Yugoslavia may be ripped apart into pieces and so on). Like it or not, but it works indeed. At least we don't have internal rebellion openly supported and welcomed by foreign countries anymore, prevented another attempt to solve separatism problems by brutal force in nearby country, other countries now respect our interests much more than in 'democratic and truly free' early 90's. And at least we don't have such huge acts of terror as in 90's - early 2000's. ---------- Post added at 20:45 ---------- Previous post was at 20:38 ---------- Fail. I'm Ukrainian for a half:p Oh sure, opinion that does not suit your point of view means it is "Kremlin propaganda", "taking uniforms from foreign troops" etc. I'm surprised you hadn't called this guy titushka. Well, watch another one 'captured uniform'.

Then why large part of ex-Soviet countries population preferred to work in hated Russia or even moved here for permanent residency after their glorious countries failed? Why hadn't they all moved to lightful Europe? I assure you, we will survive without them. So let them not live in hated damned Russia, let them either live at their homelands and develop their own countries or move to EU, okay? And regarding satellites, you are 'slightly' wrong, you'd better study budget flows in USSR and look at average town in RSFSR and compare it to the same in Georgia, Baltics or other 'satellites'. The same rhetorics I see from Washington D.C. and Bruxelles. Such talks resulted in full-scale attacks on Russian population in Transnistria, when people were killed just for being non-supporters of idea of anschluss with Romania. Such talks resulted in motto "Georgia - only for Georgians" and tanks, artillery and aviation used to shut those who don't agree with it. Such talks resulted in thousands of Russians and Ukrainians massacred in Tajikistan. Such talks resulted in unrests and thousands of refugees from Azerbaycan (my aunt was among them). Such talks resulted in massacre of Russians and Ukrainians in Chechnya and billboards "Russians, don't go away! We need slaves and prostitutes!". Believe me, maybe in cosy Europe conflicts between Swedes and Finns may be solved by talks but in other places such thing may not work, unfortunately.

At least Transdenstr population is mainly Russian and doesn't like mottos like "Chicken is not a bird, cossack is not a human". And does not force anybody to be Romanian and be part of Romania. As for the Polish territory, well, it got some during 1919-1921 war but failed to make a plan of Pilsudsky to recreate Greater Poland in borders of 1772, lost some in 1939.

Why should we need to occupy Moldova if descent part of its population already works here? We don't need another failed region with ruined economy and half-poor population that is infected with mad nationalism since 90's. The same goes to Baltic states. Let EU rebuild their failed economies instead of us. Thanks, we have more friendly regions to invest our money in. Crimea, for example. BTW I'm always surprised with constant incoherence of those who cry about bloody Soviet occupations and fecking commies that drove their countries (including post-Soviet) to hell. They destroy monuments, rename streets and cities, forbid Soviet era symbols but always forget about territorial additions that were given to them by that pesky commies... If you are planning de-sovetization then why don't you ban some laws like those regulated transfer of territories from RSFSR to USSR? Or why don't you return former Polish territories added in 1939? All this was done by bloody commies, why don't you correct their mistakes?

Isn't loss of some hundreds of thousands Soviet soldiers lives in Poland during liberation from Reich not enough for compensation?
-
From what I know at first Russia is not being threatening to all Ukraine military. In most cases it's neutral-to-friendly attitude. At second, there were already some weapon depots raided and seized by Svolota and Pravy sektor gangs in western part of the country, nobody could prevent this because far-right groups threaten families of servicemen. And we can not blame them chosing safety of their relatives upon safety of arsenals. So we have to control them in Crimea by ourselves to prevent weapon stealing and armed provocations by far-right groups. Regarding untagged Russian soldiers... If you look at them more carefully, you may see that they are armed and equipped too good. And behave more like tacticool. Even GRU troops now have not so many up-to-date gear and weapons. So it seems that those 'polite men' are nothing but PMC using loaned vehicles from our army. BTW...:) Edit: Crimean self-defence forces prevented provocation by Spilno-TV journalists, found phone lost bo one of journalist with interesting phone numbers of some foreigners and opinion about Saki's town monuments. Appeal of Ukrainian soldier

I would divorce and quit all financial support and relations. But continuing my allegory after me calling for divorce wife will scream that quitting all the relations and financial support is an attempt to influence at her and opress her freedom, calling her 'whore' is racist and nationalist insult. And all the previous life with me was terrible and I must pay her descent sum to compensate her suffering. No matter of the facts that I had spent already tons of money for repair of our house, food, bills etc., had suffered heavy wounds while defending her from hooligan. That's what is happening since 1991. Oh I saw clearly what dialog and cooperation were with Qaddaffi and Assad... ---------- Post added at 23:39 ---------- Previous post was at 23:32 ---------- Again I repeat - I'm not against independence but if it is real. Not attempt to sit at two chairs simultaneously. If Ukraine openly supports its nazis who fight against our troops in Chechnya, sends arms to countries that hostile to us (even hurting its own security, removing SAMs from active duty detachments) why should we tolerate it?
-
It's like wife that is ready to jump in bed with anyone who has bigger wallet than husband, I'd say. And security threat does not include only threat of direct invasion (it's a total failure when it reaches this level). It also includes supporting rebellions and direct attacks on the countries that are friendly to us. Includes separatism support in such countries and in our own territory, 'color revolutions'. Includes demanding of one-sided disarmament. Includes expanding of military blocks further to our borders despite assurances not to do it. Includes creation of military bases around our territory.
-
Basically what I said is: as my neighbors are too weak to be truly neutral and not to be satellites of those who rival me let them be my satellites for the sake of my own security. So please don't distort my words.

Don't forget to count the debt with inflation and interest rate.

Hm... Captured by Russia in 18th century? So petition for defence by Irakly II to Russian emperor is labeled as occupation in modern Georgian schools? Sad... Seems that we should leave you to Iranians, they would better manage with infidels. And if you want to dig some old history - let me remind you that according to Treaty of Küçük Kaynarca and later Russian-Turkish treaties, only Russia and Turkey can claim the Crimea. Invading who? Those who later became Warsaw pact countries or what? Forced labour in what regions exactly? Don't you realise that invasion itself was not reason for paying contributions but all the damages and casualties caused by it?
-
As history shows more or less independent fate was chosen by Finland only. Other states were included into the sphere of influence of countries not so friendly to us. Or became such countries themselves. I would be quite happy if neighbouring countries really be neutral, but let's be honest - they are too weak for it and never were neutral for a long time. So you may call my thoughts imperialistic but for me and my country it's surely better if neighbouring countries will be influenced by us and not by those who compete us or rival. We had already dealt with hundreds of Pz.38(t) and Hetzers.

There's no such reason in the laws - 'granting the territory as compensation for crimes'. No matter of the reasons this deal had to be approved by RSFSR council at first. That didn't happen. So even according to former USSR laws Khrushev's order is disputable and could be easily claimed unlawful. Thanks to weak authorities of Russia it hadn't been disputed and situation was left "as is" after USSR collapse, just like with Sevastopol. Then, what crimes are you talking about? Holodomor? Or what? If holodomor than who will pay for hunger in Povolzhye which was no less than at Ukraine? Whose territories should we take as a contribution? Georgian? Explain me please. Or should we take some Latvian territory because of crimes commited by 'Latvian shooters' loyal to Lenin?
-
To be honest Crimea was delivered to Ukraine with violations of both RSFSR and USSR laws but at that times it was one country so nobody cared much. So formally Russia can claim it back. Moreover Sevastopol was never part of Ukrainian SSR and was left to Ukraine de-facto, Yeltsyn just granted it.

The problem is that an alternative of building a 'Great Russia' is Moscow principality and transformation from subject of world politics to object. Unfortunately it is so. We aren't surrounded by oceans and have borders with much more than two countries unlike some palladin of democracy. The whole our history shows that lack of will to build empire leads to activity of those who wants to build their own, but at our soil. Weakening of Russian empire led to civil war and intervention by those who now cry about human rights and democracy. Weakening of USSR and Russia led to a number of wars and unrests across the country, economic disasters, attacks on allied regimes.

Links please? Or is it the same info of 'Russian blocks at Crimea' showing peacekeeper post at Osetia and stolen photo from other site?

Regarding financial questions seems that Yanuk regime was not so corrupt as it is spoken at maidan. At least in Crimea. The one real fact I've learned from the history is that if we won't defence our interests - they won't be defenced and respected by anyone. I understand you prefer to see some kind of Moscowite principality with dimensions of 50x50 km being protectorate of EU or US - so called free world. But I have to upset you - we have other opinion on this. And I've seen myself that so called democracy instituted on the former USSR is nothing like attempt to bury that countries including my own. That democracy resulted in numerous civil and interethnic wars, fall of economies and life levels. And touched my relatives personally - some of them had to flee from Baku, been threatened by Azeri nationalists, some survived attacks of Georgian gossovet army on Abhasia (their house was hit with airstrike, thanks to happy coincidence Georgian pilot missed the window of my relatives and hit nearby flat, empty at that time). If it is that democracy you wish for my country - no thanks, leave it to yourself. Oh and please don't fill your posts with propaganda stamps. There are not 70-80's now and Mr.Raegan is not president.

I don't need to read between the lines. Second option clearly shows variant of being part of Ukraine.
-
Why should it be main option? And if that poll about 53% is true - let it be. The referendum is to be made exactly for this: show the will of Crimeans.

Would you be so kind and not delude everyone? http://sevispolkom.info/content/images/2014/%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%80/IMG_9077-1.jpg (464 kB) Questions left for referendum are: 1) Are you for reunion of Crimea with Russia as region of Russian federation? 2) Are you for restoration of 1992 Constitution of Crimean Republic and status of Crimea as part of Ukraine?
