We don't even need to repaint, many of Ukrainian vehicles have almost the same paint scheme as Russian ones, which is dated back to last USSR years (example is that six BMDs of 25th brigade). @All: I would agree about arguments, but it's not easy to speak with some persons who just speak with 80's Raegan-style propaganda slogans no matter what their opponents try to speak about. Asking for ignoring the opposite point of view and constant labeling it as propaganda from undemocratic dictatorship for sake of preventing discussion does not help much, don't you think so?

I'd agree. That's videos taken in different time and places but depicting the same vehicles. Another defected BMDs are painted in darker colors. BTW from what I know all the airborne troops (batallion) of Ukrainian army left Crimea with all their weapons, armed vehicles and trucks. Only regular and naval infantry hardware was left and partly returned to Ukraine.

I wonder why, according to such logics, Yanukovich had not been praised for dispersing protesters who took the weapons, assaulted the buildings, attacked the LEOs and other citizens who hadn't supported maidan... But instead of it he was accused of all the sins. Now his rivals act even more violent, forbidding TV channels, prosecuting opposition candidate for presidency and doing nothing against mob beating him, ordering use armed forces against protesters... Seems like those who fought Yanukovich are 'protesters' that must be dealt with patience and peace. Those who fight against junta with the same methods junta used earlier are separatists, terrorists and Kremlin agents... Ole good 'freedom fighters vs rebels' rhetorics. And you guys are wondered why Russians think Cold war is not over.:rolleyes: I bet if Yanuk would order to take away all that illegal scrapyard from central Kyiv streets (yes it was illegal and protesters were asked by officials to remove tent camps at first) by army engineering vehicles supported by infantry and ordered opposition TV channels to be switched off all of you would cry about bloody dictator who suffocated the freedom of his citizens. According to various sources from self-defence forces it's fake colonel. The irony is that current junta and its Svoboda and Pravy sektor parts widely used assaults of official buildings and both MVD and army arsenals. But now what Svoboda and PS guys did some months earlier is called terrorism:) So they should prosecute themselves at first.

SURPAT (if it is, I think the colors of self-defence uniform have more green and tan) is sold for about 4 or 5 years already. Oh and one more thing: real SSO operators would already punish their Ukrainian counterparts and take all their BTRs in Slavyansk - just because they have much more combat experience and plenty of modern AT devices. But still those guys behave like really local self-defence.

Guys please realise that there's no "official uniform" term in any branch of RF military or Internal troops. Every kind of it is freely available at the market. You may see that many of PS or Svoboda folks wear either US woodland uniform or Multicam, flecktarn is used even more often. Does it mean that they are either KSK or some US SOCOM dudes? Sure no. So it's a bit naive to say 'they wear Russian kind of pattern so they are Russian soldiers'. BTW from the TV report of Vesti-24 I watch now that camo ast Slavyansk self-defence is from SBU stocks, it was shown how self-defence guys seize weapons and uniform stocks.

Cleaned means without weapons, scopes and default radios. All other parts are preserved. So with a bit of luck and money you may get real APC and even arm it (I mean notorious "Ukrainian praporshiks" who may sell everything from camo suits to entire tanks).
