It was shown even here how "73% of the legit parliament" vote. With piles of deputy IDs holded by one person and crowds of radicals outside and inside the building.

So, according to such logic, if insurgents commiting unlawful actions and toppling elected president wave EU flags and meet EU officials, it means EU supports Ukrainian coup, yes?

Even Yanuk's administration offered referendum about EU treaty. But maidan said "Feck you, we are Yurrop!!!11" despite the fact it represented (according to maidan parties) no more than 1,25% of Ukrainian population. So yes, nobody cared about real opinion of the whole Ukrainian population. BTW some interesting photo from Nikovaey. Another polite men? http://upload.comapping.com/13991492552251 (362 kB)

Note that still Yatsenyuk hadn't signed economic part of EU association treaty. Only political one. One of the main things that Yanuk was blamed for is irrelevant now, strange, isn't it? And nobody tries to blame junta for it. Everybody act like "calm down and carry on". And what makes me laugh is that most furious and agressive Ukrainian patriots and nationalists come from either Galichina (which was added to Ukraine only in 1939 thanks to blamed bloody Commies, being either Polish or Austria-Hungarian territory) or Canada. Speaking about dialog and compropise - impossible, unfortunately. When those gathered at maidan assumed right to decide what parties to rule, what path to go instead of referendum in all country - what dialog are you speaking about? All attempts of talk about overall referendum about signing EU association treaty were rejected. None of impeachment attempts were even made. So none of civilised ways of solving the problems were used. Only unrests, illegal demonstrations, seize of the territory and coup as final. I suppose the country with such methods of solving state problems (a-la Africa or Latin America in middle of 20th century) is not welcomed in EU (which is shown by its officials rejecting possibility of joining in recent future).

Nothing about medical helo according to Ukrainian MoD site: two Mi-24 shot down and one Mi-8 damaged by unknown groups Ukrainian army Mi-8 taking fire while flying near roadblock of anti-government protesters. According to RIA-novosti-Ukraine, self-defence forces noted English language in radio communications.

According to locals writing in blogs many of foreign journalists left Slaviansk and nearby area on 30th april already.
  9. I suppose my words were not taken correctly:) I wonder if for example motor rifle troops used mostly V3S, or artillery use Tatra 815 8x8 or air force ground service use Tatra 6x6? In Soviet army trucks for troop carrying were Ural or Zil mostly, and KamAZ were used mostly for carrying ammo and other goods. Was the same in CSLA?

Some of them were seized from army during recent weeks. Including truck fully loaded with either "Grad" rockets or AA missiles (there were no exact info on this case, only photos of truck).

  12. Thanks for update, guys. BTW, I've got some TO&E-like question: there are several types of CSLA trucks in the mod, so I wonder if there were any division in assigning different types of trucks to different army branches?

Russia: -got turmoil in nearby country with long and open borders -has to deal with mostly useless but still not pleasant sanctions and currency problems -has to spend lots of money on rebuilding Crimean economy and social infrastructure -has to deal with thousands of refugees from mainland Ukraine -has problems with transition of gas through Ukraine -has problems with Ukrainian industry that co-operates with our own -has security problems with the threat of nuclear stations being loaded with unsuitable fuel from Westinghouse and missile technology from Yuzhmash facility (it may be sold to someone) EU: -has to participate in economic sanctions -> lose of money and contracts -got turmoil in nearby country -has security problems with the threat of nuclear stations being loaded with unsuitable fuel from Westinghouse and missile technology from Yuzhmash facility (it may be sold to someone) -may have to get refugees from Ukraine in case of starting full-scale civil war US: ...nothing. Exchange of goods with Russia is not so big as Russis-EU, so sanctions will not affect US companies very much.

To sum it up, you guys should either admit all the attempts to separate and create own state or respect all the territorial integrities, like I do. I admit the right to self-determine of ex-USSR nations, all of them, despite most of them failed to create really independent and well-working states even having very good starting conditions of former Soviet legacy (industry, agriculture, energy generating facilities etc.). So I don't understand why Azeris can separate and have their own state with disrespect of USSR territorial integrity but Armenians can't do the same in Artsakh. The same goes to Abhasia. You may say further separation may result to more escalations, but it had been already resulted in several wars across the ex-USSR, so there wouldn't be anything worse IMHO. As for the Syria, if there would be real rule and will of majority, Assad's regime would fall already. But it still exists, moreover seems that government forces are winning mostly now. With major support of the opposition by locals that wouldn't happen. So...

Democracy is rule of majority, but now, seeing how different minorities are treated in some countries it looks like democracy became the rule of minorities. So I don't look at academic meaning of the word, in real life it can have some different meaning. BTW if you look at Svoboda and PS groups, wearing camo, helmets, having typical military organization... I would be glad if you remind me the date of independence referendum in Kosovo:) And the same in Macedonian provinces suffered from Albanian insurgency. Clean democratic vote under international observation you say? Were there any international observers during Slovenian and Croatian referendum? And were the interests of Croatian Serbs respected while they boycotted referendum in favor of staying in united country? Then, may you provide any proofs of Russian military presence at voting places and commitees during the counting? Maybe some foreign observers among those who were at the referendum provided enough material proving that Russian military affected voting or voice counting? Again double standards: Slovenians, Croats, Bosnians, Albanians separating from Yugoslavia, Chechens separating from Russia - honest will of self determination. Serbs separating from Croatia and Bosnia, Russians separating from Moldova and Ukraine, Abhasians separating from Georgia, Armenians separating from Azerbaycan - evil separatism and threat to peace which must be stopped.

They act in the interests of junta, simple. Neither army nor SBU or MVD can perform successful reconnaisance at the territory controlled by anti-government forces. As for the crime - I totally agree with you but unfortunately the same acts in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Chechnya, Macedonia, Libya, Syria were not recognized as crimes but 'struggle against tyranic regime' or 'struggle of the %nation_name% for independence'. So in real life recognition of such acts fully depends on what sides are those who do it. They may be government together with being junta, one does not counter another.

Agree. But travelling in camo suits with IDs of the states who support junta across the territory which population isn't friendly much to NATO during so called anti-terrorist operation - that's not good idea at all.

We have long-time record of co-operating with OSCE, and many times servicemen in Chechnya noted that everything seen by OSCE observers soon became known by Dudayev's rebels. So for many of us OSCE observing = spying. Sad but true.

In case of US citizen having real documents. In recent case OSCE officially stated that its members are safe. Well who are those who told they are OSCE observers then? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEcpZ0vwrdk Seems thay are just NATO military servicemen performing reconnaisance operation at Donbass. That's why they are captured. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kX9aotpiWqk Three SBU operatives of Alfa detachment were captured in Gorlovka and transfered to Slavianks. They were captured while attempting to seize the commander of Gorlovka self-defence. Officers told that they were forced to execute the order because of threats to their families by junta. Later in this video OSCE representative tells that servicemen captured at Donbass used OSCE as excuse but they do not belong to it.

It is James Baker:) Sure, helping various AQ-affiliated groups with air support against Libyan government protected Africa from Al Qaeda a lot... Especially in the case of spreading tons of weapons from former Libyan army stocks among those groups. Sorry for OT.

Now I know that Department of Navy is great charity organization:) Seems that rumors about plans to place US Navy base instead of Russian one with the help of junta are not so silly. P.S. I've looked at camo that is used by self-defence forces in Donbass - it's not SURPAT but commercial Spectre-SKVO. Already tested by Ukrainian airsoft players in 2011. Here it is shown together with SURPAT and at Japan airsoft players. Photos of apparently knocked out Ukrainian BMD, Sergievka, Donbass Note third photo - seems this vehicle was knocked out by RPG shot that hit it in middle wheel.
