S-8. 'Armed rebels' reported another airstrike at their checkpoint near Lugansk today, noone was hurt, splinters gathered had markings of S-8 FFARs. Particularly S-8KOM (HEAT-FRAG).
-
At this photos you may say part of pargeting bangling near entering holes. That pargeting wouldn't be damaged if some internal explosion would occur. Those holes look just like those I've seen in some Sukhum (Abhasia) houses damaged by FFARs. Some other holes are at the park's land.
-
I know, UA media tola about MANPADS missile locked on air conditioner that supposed to be on the wall.FPDR Moreover you can see an explosions at the air and in the park. Imagine, Vilas, what weapons had been supposed to be used that it caused such huge damage to building, park and nearby cars? Rebels tried to shoot S-75 from the administration window, eh?
-
While you, gentlemen, talk about death of the independent (from who?) media in Russia, glorious Ukrainian pilots hit square and regional administration building with unguided rockets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYvRpDXEir0 Some more pics and videos, warning - NSFW! 18+! There were no 'heavy armed rebels' at the square and in administration, all the casualties are among civils.
-
I may post some photos of 'heavily armed gunmen' both male and female who hadn't any weapons but died from the fire of Ukrainian armed troops in Donetsk and Slaviansk yesterday (but won't do it due to forum rules) to prove you are wrong. And I'd remind that using army against armed protesters in Libya and Syria also was called a crime and caused bombings. Oh I forgot those protesters were welcomed by EU and deserve to be respected, unlike those in Donbass... Double standards are so double standards... BTW using unguided rockets against 'gunmen' within large city isn't good idea at all. They just wanted to overthrow legitimate internationally recognized government, and it's just a childish prank, yes? And now in fact they divided a country into several semi-independent areas ruled by tribes, sure that's not change of the borders...FPDR
-
Good luck to Roshen. Am I wrong or were Qaddafi and Assad labeled as bloody dictators for the same things? If so, why there's no shytestorm about bloody junta using assault helicopters that fire unguided rockets against cities and civilians from EU? And why nobody demands for establishing NFZ on Eastern Ukraine?

True. But from what I've seen at the video taken just after the battle BMPs hadn't taken a hits that could lead to ammo explosion. IMHO further attack of helo by ATGM or gun caused ammo cook-off.
-
If you watch the videos taken just after the firefight you'll see BMPs are caught on fire but the fire is at the surface of hulls and rather small. It should be much bigger to cause such huge detonation. Moreover BMP which was first standing has holes in upper part of hull, near driver's hatch. For me it seems the detonation was caused by fire from helos.
-
Helo crews flew very low, and Mi-8 almost landed there. There was enough time for pilots to recognize ground troops, if they are friend or foe. So if they had fired I have only two options: either pilots were dumb or they knew it's friendly troops and fired at them expressly. Moreover civil ambulances arrived at the place of battle at that time so there were no firefight, so no reasons to open fire. Judging that poor guys' words I may say they hadn't called for air support and hadn't expected the arrival of the helicopters.

Jew-reptiloid Kolomoisky can do anything to save and enlarge his business empire and get moar power in Ukraine. And killing of Ukrainian army troops who hadn't hurried to wipe out all the 'terrorists' is not the worst thing he may do.
-
One of the first vehicles destroyed by choppers was abandoned "Privat-bank" (held by Kolomoisky) armored van damaged by army soldiers in battle. Seems that them main goal was to remove any evidence of Benya involvement. But sh!t happened and van was taped before it was destroyed. Photos and video from the place of heavy fighting in Rubezhnoye, Donbass. Three more BMPs and Ural w/ZU-23-2 destroyed.
-
Ukrainian army battle group was attacked near Blagodatnoye village, Donbass. Three BMPs and three cars were destroyed. Group was attacked by unknown troops who used civil jeeps and bank vans. Ukrainian army helicopter had been flying at the battlefield but hadn't provided any fire support for attacked troops. One bank van of attackers was destroyed by army troops. Warning - NSFW! Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 Edit: helicopters that arrived at the battlefield fired at army troops. Video from the soldier who survived first attack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQt7ukb0kmU At the last minutes Ukrainian commander of group calls to somebody and argues that helicopters which were supposed to be rescue ones opened fire at them.

Armor vest is believed to be defensive system. But it can help attacking person to save his health and life and increase the chance of successful attack. So does anti-ballistic missile system. The same goes to any active protection systems and jammers installed on vehicles. Any defensive system may be used together with strike ones for better protection of attacking side. While now current ABM systems are more or less equal and together with nuclear weapons form balance, building additional ones just near our borders changes the balance and gives more chance to others for performing more successful strike. Sure it cannot fully neutralise Russian nuclear strike but can decrease its strength, and it's unacceptable for us. Just like US missiles in Turkey were totally unacceptable for USSR and Soviet missiles in Cuba were totally unacceptable for US.

Dunno. European rightists may see something good in Putin, their Russian comrades don't. So at least because of this your parallel between far right groups and Putin is irrelevant. I think Ukraine is a country but totally failed one. BTW why do you speak about reunion of all the "Russian speaking guys" like about something bad? Especially if they live nearby. That's definitely not RPG hit. Damaged piece is of ellipse shape with much of paint scratched instead of small round hole with almost untouched paint. Then, black side is result of diesel exhaust. Especially when engine is old and in bad condition (how BMPs are cared you may see - from nine vehicles used two stopped, one evacuated by another BMP and second abandoned). This is RPG hit: http://vif2ne.ru/nvk/forum/files/Bauris/(090908103629)_abr_bortbashni_-_rpgpenetration.jpg http://memoriesnorth.narod.ru/bmp684.jpg Wow... Somebody tries to teach me, living in the city that was bombed by nazis and in the country that suffered most from nazis, named untermensche by nazis, whose grandfathers, being teenagers, went volunteer to the front, who are they? Brilliant... Just brilliant. Edit: Israelis from "Aliya batallion" organization say about will to go to Ukraine and fight against nazism.
-
So what? Our domestic far right folks admire Hitler despite he, if would be alive, would think of them like of horse poo. I don't know about European far rights and who they support but Russian ones treat Putin as treator and servant of Caucasian, Middle Asian and Jewish interests. Where were they when all the mess started and ended? AFAIK either in Donetsk or at the road to Mariupol. Unfortunately they arrived when everything ended. Yes I've looked at the damage and hadn't found any RPG hit (and I know how does it look). Some parts of skirts are damaged because of collide with some soild object (seeing how drivers behaved it's not surprise). But that's not RPG hit. Nazism is not some plain digits and numbers. It is not exact number of camps or dead people. It is ideology. Killing all who does not support your ideas. Opressing other languages. Thinking of destruction of nearby country.

Couple of Molotov cocktail bottles can destroy wrecked BMP left by its crew, yes. Just like any other vehicle. None of manned vehicles was destroyed or knocked out at 9th of May because none of 'violent militia' was armed even with baton. Religious prosecution? Yes. Priests of Russian Orthodox church (not Ukrainian self-proclaimed patriarchate) received threats many times from far right activists. Extermination camp? Odessa Labor union house - people were trapped there and were killed. I can post some investigations with tons of videos and photos proving far right radicals did it but I'll get ban for posting gore and ogrish soon. Invasion of foreign army? Yes, far right activists from UNA-UNSO took part in Chechnya war against our troops in large numbers, so yes, those guys performed hostile actions already. In civil world a country hosting such guys deserved "Grapes of Wrath". Then. Prosecution of all who don't share maidan ideas? Yes. Just look at recent incidents in Rada with communists, threats to candidates for presidency. Cheerful comment from officials regarding deaths of civilians in Odessa (google Farion one). Will to burn all the opponents (said by Zoya Kazahzhi, new vice chief of Odessa administration). Praising former Waffen SS veterans and their crimes - yes. Speaking about destruction of nearby country (numerous discussions on the official Svoboda party forums about how Russia must be destroyed) - yes. Note this party now is one of the leading in Rada. So yes, if it smells like nazism, acts like nazism, shouts like nazism then it is nazism. I understand it's hard to admit that glorious European Union got some affairs with it but, like it is said in Metallic song, "Sad but true".

They were ordered to use live ammo and shoot to kill if those who gathered would refuse to go home. That's what the order from Kiev stated. And where had you seen violent pro-Russian militia in Mariupol at 9-th of May? Maybe you will show some video footage of it? I can see only armed provocateurs who was shooting from traumatic guns at NG who returned fire with live ammo at unarmed people. BTW if you remind about Chechens... Can you see massive cases of killing, torturing, raping of pro-Ukrainians by pro-Russians at Donbass? Can you name at least one case of attack with using women and elders on military facilities for sake of stealing weapons (I don't mean already deployed troops who were ordered to fight 'terrorists' in Slaviansk)? Can you name at least one case of pro-Ukrainians been thrown from their homes and pro-Russians occupy them? Can you name any case of taking hostages in hospitals or blowing entire houses? I bet you won't, so please don't mix apples and oranges and don't make such silly thing as comparing Chechnya and current Ukraine. That's like "constitution" and "prostitution" - words look similar but the meaning is very different.
-
So do you think policemen who refused to execute crime order and shoot in their compatriots are equal to terrorists and separatists? Nice...

https://pp.vk.me/c7009/c7008/v7008752/112ee/OIS7AAotzyM.jpg (237 kB) "Thank you for your courage and defence. We won't forget your gest. Sorrow." Flowers that were left at the entrance of burnt police HQ in Mariupol, in the memory of servicemen fallen in the fight with nazional guard. Will anybody else say that locals tried to storm police building? Edit: rumors say that head of Mariupol police who ordered his servicemen to disperce Victory day commemoration meeting with any force available was executed by locals. And Oleg Lyashko, who ordered nazional guard to enter the city and shoot at everyone was captured. If that's true, very nice.

You know, one old Jewish woman, Holocaust victim, said: "If someone says he wishes to kill you - believe him. And either kill him first or run away". People saw enough 'funny' things at maidan done by far right radicals driven by Svoboda, Udar and Batkivshina (google for Ivan Protsenko and his movement for example), and they don't want the same at their cities. And storming official buildings and seizing MVD arsenals in Rivno, Ternopol and Lviv were long before South-East self-defence forces were created. So, as you see, some people prefer not to wait when NG troops will perform recless drive at their city in BMPs and shoot at weaponless people.
-
Exactly. Like Israeli defence forces do sometimes. And South-African defence forces did. BTW here is online translation from Donbass referendum.
-
Meanwhile today at night Slaviansk self-defence troops made preventive attack at NG in Karachun hill, using BMDs and Nona SPG. According to pro-fed commander NG ammo dump was hit and exploded after Nona round hit.

For me "Washington based" means "preserving interests of some US-based group of people". I don't say it's good or bad (yes I admit US may have its own interests at any point of Earth yet I may not agree with all of them to be preserved). It's just a fact that it has some influence taken. And looking at who is supported by US in Ukraine it's easy to make a conclusion that these polls are made to bring 'right picture' according to US (and Kiev) point of view. Be it the poll made by some Brasilian/Israeli/Swiss/Indian agency - I would say it's truly neutral. But US is involved in Ukrainian mess so any poll made by US-based agency is made to show 'right' point of view.

They are countries first of all. With internationally recognized governments and borders. And some months before Libyan campaign Qaddafi was welcomed in EU. But as I see if one group of countries calls other one 'dictatorship' it gives them right to do whatever they want - disrespect of territorial integrity, support and arming of opposition, direct military help to opposition etc. There's no any word in international laws or treaties stating that country named 'dictatorship' does not deserve normal treatment and should become another proving ground for %colorname% revolution. And now Ukraine is dictatorship too - just look how rada calmly votes for any law given to it with opressing all other parties except those which headed maidan. And if you think ductatorships aren't worth respecting them, how about arming and supporting Shia opposition in Bahrain? Or help Western Sahara guys to fight Marocco dictatorship? Will it be good decision? Well, "Washington based" for you means surely free and "RT" is surely propaganda?:D So who is stuck in 1950's? "Washington based" means it may fit interests of those who own this agency. I don't say it's good or bad, it's just obvious fact, and such things are common in this world. Yes, some research centers are free, but free from what or who, can you explain? Crimean referendum made at gunpoint? Really? How about proofs depicting it, video, photos? Presence of Russian military in Crimea in general means nothing, because according to such logic decision of self-proclaimed Kosovo parliament is made at gunpoint of KFOR (NATO) - they were in Kosovo at that time, so I may say they influenced at those who were in parliament.
