Let's bring some humor into this thread http://s7.hostingkartinok.com/uploads/images/2014/06/484fab4728d33c69c798c301029a3a21.jpg (122 kB) http://s1.hostingkartinok.com/uploads/images/2014/06/2d55ddbaa49daa606ac3ed310ef41f88.jpg (122 kB) James Wilkes, born in 1964, former SAS serviceman, caught totally drunken in Kiev. As source says, all the IDs, pictures, two cell phones are in proper place.

While Poroshenko goes for a ceasefire his artillerymen keep shelling Slaviansk and other cities and shelled Russian customs post yesterday (one serviceman wounded). Either UA army and NG don't give a sh!t about orders of their president or the words of Poroshenko mean nothing, and his real orders differ much from what he speaks on camera.

Sure, flirting with EU, NATO and domestic nazis, toppling president who is more or less neutral to Russia really shows Ukrainian will not to get Russia involved. And using army and semi-private armed 'batallions' against unarmed protesters, arming and legalizing far-right groups as 'national guard', shameless use of brutal force against its own citizens that are opposite to maidanuts shows it too. Burning people alive and murdering them, attacking those who wanted to celebrate Victory day in Mariupol shows it too.

It was not air accident but plain shooting down via MANPADS. At first UA officials denied that it was recon plane used for FAC duties (not the best role for An-30 BTW). Then, Avakov (MVD minister) wrote about Russian T-72 tanks. Minister. So I may say UA govt told about Russian T-72s. As for markings and paintings - many of vehicles both in UA or Russian army don't have national markings. Only numbers or tactical signs. Even if they had, markings can be easily oversprayed. Like on those BMDs captured in the early days of the war. And again, UA officials aren't those who admit military losses so quickly and easily. Don't you think it is strange that just after a couple of hours official MoD site hosted news with exact reasons of plain crash? They hadn't been so quick with other planes, why? Intervention is wet dream of current regime - all those terrible economic problems caused by new authorities may be advocated by it and all those totally incompetent politicians will get ability to take off all responsibility for faults and state problems. It's much easier to blame 'bloody Moskali occupants' from cosy villa somewhere in Western Europe than struggle with debts and economic crisis in Kiev.

Why? For the same reasons it orders its armed forces to bomb civilians - provoke Russia to use force and step into this conflict. Nope. Some parts remain even after burning. Note that plane was at the landing process and fuel level was low. Watch the video about Yak-42 burned in Sukhumi airport while taking off in 1993 (I won't post it here because of rules violation) - its tanks were full but despite this all burned corpses remained at the crash site. And NGs are not so brave and professional warriors to manage to bring all the bodies from crash site to safe place at night in hostile area. Why do I doubt? UA govt never recognized its losses such quickly. Just look at previous case with An-30. At first it was some An-24 with 'humanitarian aid' then An-26 and only then they admitted it was recon plane. They hadn't admitted capture of three tanks and lied about some Russian T-72s entered through the border. But in the case of Il-76 they magically admitted the lose of plane (and exactly from the hostile fire!) and heavy casualties at 5:00 AM! Just in a couple of hours after crash. Things don't change so quickly.

Half of the globe may think whatever they want. But such words from foreign affairs minister of European country are unacceptable. Even freaks like Chavez (R.I.P.), Kim jong-some-thing and Ahmadinizhad were more polite. Edit: Breaking news:) Some sources claim that shot down Il-76 is... fake. Fake that had been made to excuse the attack on Russian embassy. http://ivanoctober.livejournal.com/343182.html http://mir-mag.livejournal.com/35836.html Here is a couple of articles (in Russian). In brief why it can be fake: - no corpses, NGs could not manage to get all of them at night in hostile area before rebels arrived - the accident was admitted very quickly by both UA officials and media (despite earlier they acted countrary) - two engines lying instead of four - small area of crash site, Il-76 is way more bigger - some rubber parts (wheels of vehicles carried inside) and clothes pieces remain almost clean and untouched by fire despite fire been very huge, grass and land isn't burned very much too -civil officials named all the victims very quickly despite the fact that in such cases it's impossible at least because of gathering and getting data from MoD

AFAIK there were no NG checkpoint at that area. Moreover rebels aren't so dumb to use MLRS for destroying ordinary checkpoint, they prefer to use mortars, ATGMs and RPGs for it (it's just cheaper than spending heavy rockets at such small target). As for govt soldiers, let me remind you that they already lost at least one SPG "Msta" (one crew member died, others wounded) and five tanks that were set on fire during early days of deployment to Eastern regions (when there were no any armed rebels at Donbass). Also one Su-24 was lost during mistake of pilot at landing and one Grad launcher drowned from bridge. Current regime brings totally unprepared personell to army and various armed batallions. So it's not surprise that some of them make fatal mistakes while operating complicated weapon systems. Edit: Ukrainian minister of foreign affairs at the protest near Russian embassy Watch at 0:35 - he says "Putin - motherf**ker". True, Ukraine is Yurrop FPDR That's just lower than Somalia.

    1) Rejection of demands for federalisation and making Russian language as second state one 2) Will to sign treaty with EU which will cause death of most part of Donbass industry 3) Worsening of relation with Russia, country where many Ukrainian citizens have relatives and where largest export market for Ukrainian goods is situated 4) Support of far right Ukrainian nationalistic parties and movements Many times UA nationalists and officials said "You want to have Russian language? GTFO to Russia".

Hm... Photos of that Grad were posted on anti-junta sites, and it was stated that launcher is Ukrainian one. You may ask if rebels may claim their own destroyed Grad as Ukrainian one. But until now they don't hide losses in vehicles (losing BRDM in Mariupol, KamAZ trucks in Donetsk). At the same time pro-UA media just throw BS in case of losses (both among armed forces and civilians). Naming shot down An-30 recon as An-26 transport, simple late production AK-74 with plastic parts (produced since late 80's) as super new top secret GRUFSB AK-100 rifle. Oh and the main thing that makes me doubt in words of UA media about Grad: in our army it's almost impossible to preserve any papers and documents like notepad of officer after 3 years since phasing out. Only if the vehicle is left at some remoted storage base or abandoned somewhere in remote place.

Grads based on Ural chassis were phased out in 2011 at that brigade. So they may be former Russian.

That warbird carrier some ammo also. So it's not surprise that not so much left from it. Video showing aftermath of crash:

There are not so many good arty crews among Ukrs that may hit even this memorial directly with first rounds. BTW shot down Il-76 carried BMD-2: http://retina.news.mail.ru/pic/87/5c/image192366_92d75d88ad659e6e440103fe64e89553.jpg (296 kB)

There were neither govt forces nor rebels at destroyed vegetable-store compound. Only some employees and civil security. As for govt troops shooting at random buildings - today Saur-Mogila WW2 memorial was attacked by their artillery.

Do you think rebels are dumb enough to destroy the infrastructure they live in? And why had the filmed this abandoned and damaged Grad? They claim they damaged it while returning fire. About shot down Il-76: this plane was sent to bring a little reinforcement and additional ammo and gear to surrounded NG troops. There was already skirmish between two groups of NG (from Dnepropetrovsk and Western UA) - those from Dnepropetrovsk decided to surrender to rebels. Seems that NGs now don't have any other option than surrender.

So according to your logic German, US, Canadian, Belgian, Swiss systems don't work, yes? And new president said in Rada just opposite right after the elections. BTW Russian can't remain a second state one simply because it never was. It was some kind of regional since a couple of years. At least none of candidates were beaten by angry mob and forced to resign. And none of them lost part of their business and home. So, you've missed. Kiev (Ivan Protsenko and 'For clean city' movement), Harkov, Odessa, Nikolaev, Mariupol (when Lyashko's thugs used killed a number of unarmed protesters), Donetsk (but here RS activists lost the fight). What are this groups? I don't know any. Federalisation - yes (earlier). Separation - yes. But not Russification. Even in 'annexed' Crimea three state languages are set. Unlike 'ein volk, ein reich, ein mova' ideology of Poroshenko. Be so kind and show me the groups that focus on Russification (with quotes of their members). Again please google what was the end of peaceful negotiations of Ivan Protsenko with maidanuts in Kiev. Look how quickly current regime started to use army (not some LEOs like Yanuk) against pro-fed regions. How do you think is it possible to negotiate with regime that relies on right sector activists, legalizes and arms them via national guard formations and uses armor against people who wanted their language to be second state one? Edit: meanwhile two UA armed forces APCs crossed Russian border in Rostov region. At first it was one, but it suffered engine fault and stopped. APC was detected by our border guard patrol which tried to pursue the violators. But after it second APC arrived and took the crew of broken one, threating border guard with its MG and escaped on UA territory. Broken APC still remains on Russian territory.

    1) New UA govt rejects demands of introducing Russian as second state language and federalisation (though federalisation and federation itself is quite normal process and doesn't lead to collapse of the country, two or even three state languages don't lead to hell too - look at Belgium, Switzerland, Canada etc.) 2) Political parties and movements that didn't support maidan are under pressure now, leading candidate for presidency from South-East, Oleg Tsarev was harshly beaten and forced to remove his candidature. Such attitude is unacceptable even in poor third world countries which are far away from civilized standards. 3) Attempts of gatherings and protests against new authorities were brutally dispersed by junta and various far right armed groups. 4) Current junta arms and supports far right groups and parties and forces Ukrainification. Google speeches of Irina Farion for example. Zhrirnovsky, Vilas' favorite politician is just hippie comparing to her. The answer is simple - most of them belong to it. They are locals. They defend their homes.

It's results of strikes, not fightings. There were no clashes between rebels and junta military.

I know that principle of harsh retaliation makes some people think twice next time they decide to become 'more equal than others'. Worked well with Moldovan, Azeri, Georgian and Chechen nationalists who took arms to show they are more humans than their neighbours. The saddest thing is that no insurgent positions were in destroyed blocks in Semenovka and Slaviansk, as well in chemical plant and near main water pipe which distribute water to Slaviansk. They were in other places. But that hadn't stop junta military from firing. The same goes to Lugansk strike. No rebel positions were near administration. But jet fired at the park and administration building. No rebels were harmed, only civilians. Look, where may be rebel positions at this photos? http://voicesevas.ru/img/3f18d3b970a2852119c8cda5b76bd9c4.jpg (117 kB) http://voicesevas.ru/img/d9168581bcb99834bba78d36c9ee741a.jpg (123 kB) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-tB4GsReKU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBOCc613GSc

Not lower than firing FFAR salvo at populated area or arty shells on civil infrastructure and people. Eye for an eye. Most of those strikes result in only destruction of houses and other buildings. Positions of 'violent thugs' remain unharmed mostly.

With all the shortage of money and simple corruption among UA military getting some ammo for tanks is not very big problem. They already sold all data about pilots involved in bombings of Slaviansk and Lugansk and artillery crews that performed strikes on Slaviansk and Semenovka.

Various blogs (I've provided links on them here). My explanation is that Ukr. officials are neither professional nor honest - they always lower their losses and distract real picture of the battles happened. An-30 recon which was shot down was labeled as transport An-26. And minister of internal affairs cannot distinguish tanks that are in use by own army from foreign. It's clearly T-64's. Their ERA differs from T-72's, the same goes to wheels. And you can hear not simple diesel sound but opposite engine one (much higher, like circular saw). Here's another photo of that tank. Note IR light at the left side of turret - clear sign of T-64. After Lugansk tragedy many of pilots refuse to take on and perform tasks. Junta even seeks for foreigns pilots (attempts were in Georgia, Serbia, Croatia).
