    Hi guys. First of all I am posting this only after reading through several tech topics and guides for OFP. But I'm still having some difficulties. Sometimes the FPS drops below 10, other times its stable around 15-20. All depends on whats in the map as you know. Here's my specs and .cfg's. Please no "buy a new computer" replies, thats not an option at this time for me. Although I plan to upgrade within this year. I'm just looking for suggestions that might help out here until I can. P3 1.0 Ghz 512 Mb SDRAM GF 5200 256Mb PCI 56.72 Drivers (no agp slot on board) USB 80 gig 7200 rpm hd (running OFP on this drive, no room on my internal drive) Win XP Soundblaster 16 bit PCI I keep it clean of spyware and viruses. Up to date BIOS. It made my framerate more stable and may have slightly increased it. AA, AF, V-sync are all off. 800x600x32, 100 Hertz. My main problem is FPS. I get a little "jerkyness" every now and then but I can live with it. It's a slow rig, but I need to make it work for the time being. Thanks in advance!

    Good work on patching so quickly. But I am still having trouble with the A10. Every time I try to use it I get "cannot open object data3d\snake.p3d" This is the only thing I have inserted in the mission editor, nothing in the init line either. HW T&L is enabled. This happened in 4.0 too. Not sure what to do.

    I'm a fan of the system as it is. It's not that difficult to punch in the numbers. Although it may be easier to have it auto-insert the azimuth but not the elevation. If it auto-inserted the elevation we'd have pinpoint accuracy which is not that fun. And I kind of like having to guestimate the elevation/range based on the computer's mathematics. It allows for a system of correcting fire after the first round hits because you can just go and add or subtract a number or two in range/elevation instead of doing the whole targeting process again.

    Hey Phaeden, I'd like to see a little more in depth instruction on how to set up and use mortars. I eventually figured it out, still not 100% sure, but only through trial and error. The FAQ part about it only helped a little and wasn't clear in some areas. At least thats the impression I got for it. Also, theres a few things I can't get to work. I get a P3D error when trying to use your A10, and I can't get the shoulder AA's to lock on. I might be doing something wrong on the AA's though. Don't know if anyone mentioned these before.

    My compliments to the makers. Very nicely done. Plus its good to see makers who don't just release and say screw you if it doesn't work for you. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to the bug fixes!

    Couple of questions

    Got them to work. Â Well...kind of. Â I put a regular soldier and an EMPTY blackhawk in the map editor and previewed and it loaded and the chopper worked fine. Â Its only happening when I try to use the blackhawk with the pilot already in it. Possibly an incompatable pilot file from a newer BAS addon that maybe overwrote an old one causing this?

    Hmmmm, I've gotten alot of addons between them. Hard to remember which ones, but none that I could pinpoint as being the cause of it.

    Hello, I've got a couple of tech questions for you folks, you all seem to be pretty knowledgeable in here. First: I am having problems with BAS blackhawks and pavehawks. When I try to use either the game goes to the desktop, no error message. I've used the blackhawks before and never had this problem until recently. It is not a problem with the number of addons I have because the game loads fine. I have littlebirds, ch-47, tonal, and the soldiers (forget the name right now) and they all work fine. Possibly a problem with a conflicting addon? I tried using only a blackhawk in Nogova using regular OFP (no FDF or anything) and had the same results. I have the required addons for them also (JAM, SOAR, etc.). Second: I added the "-nosplash" parameter to my shortcut to skip the splash screens and load the game faster. When I started the game it went to a black screen with white letters saying "The Countdown Begins". Anyone ever hear of that before? I should note that I am using a legitimate copy because one thing I thought it might be is that OFP activated FADE because of that nosplash thing skipping the splash screens. That seems pretty far out though. Anyways I took the parameter off and it doesn't do that anymore. Kind of lost on this one. I am running OFP 1.96 beta. P3 1 Mhz, 512 MB SDRAM, Geforce 5200 256 MB PCI. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.
