    The shoulder patches were fixed but not the squad XML patches, they are handled separately. I think I'm using the latest version, I downloaded the latest version from Armaholic. Is there a way to disable xml patches on a unit in eden editor by chance as a temporary work around? Is there something that can be put in a unit's init field?

    This is a fantastic addon, I really, really like it. One problem I notice is that arm patches from squad xmls are stretched and overly large. Is there any chance of this possibly being fixed?

  4. This looks really nice! Can the AI handle driving on this map and can foot AI path find their way around in the cities? One thing about filling in the country side between cities and towns, make sure you don't over do it. It's nice if there are areas of wilderness to create missions in, too many maps have such bad urban sprawl that there really are no forest areas, Tanoa being one of the worst offenders (walk 50 to 100 meters in any direction and you hit a road or house.) Being as this map is based on real terrain however, if the area it's set in really is saturated by housing then of course that's different and makes sense. Looking forward to this, it really good!

    * rubs temples * I am disappointed. I noticed flares are worthless, but I thought it was just a bug that hopefully would be fixed. This is for lack of a better term... this is dumb.

    The Hell I am... you want to fight about? J/K I think we are just arguing over semantics. What I was trying to explain is that something in how RHS armored vs armored combat works differently, and I actually quite dig it. I thought it was the armor system, but it sounds more like it's the way the weapons are simulated. It doesn't really matter what it is to be honest, the discussion was that someone was asking if RHS and CUP tanks have peculiarities when interacting with each other during game play. The answer to that is, yes. It's nothing negative or positive, it just is. Sometimes it's hard to tell intent or demeanor online. Things that are not meant as snark occasionally come across as such when they weren't meant to.

    Interesting. I'll have to try some more test out in the editor. In the past I've pitted various RHS tanks against various CUP tanks to see if they were compatible and had strange results. For example I've had RHS T72s battle CUP M60A3s and the T72s were not able to hurt the M60s other than their tracks but the M60s were killing the T72s in one hit. http://www.rhsmods.org/w/afrfarmor Maybe system wasn't the correct terminology, but it is definitely slightly different. What I find amusing is that I was complimenting RHS and their armor system/formula/behavior/philosophy whatever you want to call it. However, some people in RHS cannot even take a compliment without snapping off some barbed comment. Chill out yeesh.

    RHS uses it's own armor system that isn't compatible with other addons. It's a neat system but you have to make sure if you are using Red Hammer armored vehicles in a mission that both sides are only using RHS armor. You can mix and match soft skin vehicles though just fine (trucks and cars).

    I definitely will tonight, I'm at work right now. I want to run some more test before I send a tracker report, so I can include more information. I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed or experienced the same issue. I have a handful of complete missions that use RHS armor. I'll be able to check out a decent selection of vehicles in a scenario environment and see if they are having issues or not.

    I'm having a problem with the BMD-1 since the update. I have a mission that is ready to be released that uses the BMD-1. Their are four in the mission that follow waypoints around the island and it worked perfectly. However since the update, One of them refuses to move and follow it's waypoints now and the other three are fish tailing and losing control a lot. As a test I loaded up a fresh map (tanoa) and placed a BMD-1 and tried giving it a single waypoint, with behaviour set to safe and speed set to default (medium). I tried doing this at various locations on the island and each time there was a good chance the BMD would suddenly pause and not move anymore. When it would move it would fishtail non stop and continually slow down and speed up abruptly. The fishtailing was pretty drastic, about 45 degrees to the left and then to the right. Can any one else test this out and let me know if you are having the same problem? The mission also uses M113s, I didn't test them out yet other than dropping one on Tanoa during my BMD test and giving it a single way point set to safe and standard speed. The M113 in my single test followed the road to it's waypoin, however it did exhibit the fishtailing. The M113s fishtailing didn't seem as drastic as the BMD but it was noticeable. I'll do some more test tomorrow but I have to hit the hay for the night. The MERDC camo on the M113 is awesome guys.
  13. I followed Bressbs installation tutorial for O2 and followed it exactly. However when I launch O@ I get an error window that pops up saying "Unable to open external viewer" and all I can do is click the OK button. Why is this program so lame? I also tried Gate Maker and it runs fine, however Bressb's tutorials don't work so well with it as some of the buttons are very different. Could any one help me? Oh yeah by the way the search feature on this board is pathetic, but you all knew that.

    The way it's described on the Armaholic download page, it sounds like this is client side? So you can use this even if no one else on the server has it? Also does it interfere with ACE3 Interaction menu? Hell I should just try this out when I get a chance :-P it looks very promising.

    Before I try to find RHS's bug tracker I wanted to make sure I'm not the only one experiencing this.I notice on all the Abrams tanks, when the crew is turned in the driver is hanging out the bottom of the hull like this...
  17. Is there a readme somewhere? I see there are four folders now... @RHS GAF @WS Customs @WS RHS Gorka @WS RHS Uniforms I'm curious what specifically is in each folder. Could I just put all the pbos in a single folder so I only have to activate one?

    I wonder if there would be a way to force the squads to use Vee formation instead of wedge as their default? This would put the squad leader as the furthest back in the formation instead of always on point.
  19. These are really good. I have found that some of the uniforms bring up an error message if you open your inventory in game. Something about a missing image. Specifically the British DPM85 uniform causes this error message. Once you click OK on the message though it doesn't pop up again unless you load a new mission.

    I like RHS, it's fantastic addon. But after reading this thread off and on for a few months now I have to ask, what is this thread for? If anyone makes a comment, a suggestion or ask a question they get talked down to. I can understand being annoyed by people just demanding new items or constantly asking about release dates but the other stuff is out of line. If people can't ask something like "Hey any chance of x ever being in the mod?" then why even have this thread? You can be polite and just say, no that's not going to happen we are focusing on other things, you don't have to be so hostile in your responses. If they are asking it's because they enjoy your mod. People asking if you guys might consider changing a texture a little is known as "feedback" you don't have to do it obviously and it's not an insult for them to ask. However apparently that's not allowed around here? Seriously, no bug reports, no questions about the future, no constructive feedback, what does that leave? Simply fawning? If that's all this thread is for then cool but put it in the first post and rename this the RHS positive feedback thread or something. As it is now simply calling it RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF) is misleading, it makes it sound like a general discussion of the mod. This leads people to think they can ask about and discuss many issues. Now benefit of the doubt time, I understand for content creators it's very obnoxious hearing content request and sometimes outright demands, plus it gets annoying reading the same questions over and over such as "when is it coming out?". However if you cannot handle that just don't respond to those questions or take a break from the thread for a while. Getting annoyed and becoming hostile to your entire fan base is counter-constructive. Like I said though benefit of the doubt, I don't think anyone in this thread means to be as hostile as they are, but people need to step back and appreciate that people are interested in RHS and enjoy it enough that they want to discuss it. However not all discussion is simply going to be "this is awesome." some people are going to say things like "love the mod but X could be improved maybe." or "X would be cool if..." Anyway I'm taking a long break from this thread. There's nothing in it anymore but hostility and there's no discussion allowed except for "cool mod bro, keep up the good work!" Hopefully, I'll check back sometime and it'll be less hostile. RHS is awesome one of the two top addons in my opinion and I hope the future holds more great stuff. But the forum thread is pointless and way too hostile.

    I wow, I didn't realize there were different skins for the Huey in the editor. Just found them very cool and thumbs up :-) Any chance we might get an Olive Drab UH-60 skin in a future update? I notice they only are in black and RACS camo. Olive would be great for cold war era missions.

    Very Nice! The texturing just keeps getting better. Any chance on new passenger animations for the existing Hueys? I notice in the back of the German UH-1 that some of the passengers aren't lined up on the seats or are floating a little bit. Those new Hueys look really good and would be great for Guerrilla factions or for clandestine actions in jungle areas.

    Hey guys I love your addons all the way back to OFP days. I made a mission for the milestone RHS week way back in the day (around 10 years ago? ) to help showcase the Motorized infantry, T55 and Gaz packs that were released for the event. Eventually I'm going to get around to making an updated ARMA III version. However, in a current mission project I'm working on I just found a bug with the M88 Khaki Uniform. It has the Red addon symbol for the Russian pack but I believe it might actually be from the Green Forces pack. The bug is that anytime a soldier wearing that particular uniform readies a launcher this happens... I tested by removing the armor and helmet and uniform one at a time and requiping them in different orders and through process of elimination I narrowed it down to the khaki M88 Uniform itself. It occurs with every launcher when you ready them. I could do some more test later but I don't recall this happening with any of the other M88 based uniforms. I've been making an old school OFP FIA mission and I don't recall the RPG gunners I have wearing the M88 Alpenflage having this problem.
